EDUCATION SECRETARY UNDER FIRE FOR ISSUING SECURITY GUILDLINES FOR TEACHERS.

The Education Secretary Lai Lǚdài has been criticised by human rights activists for issuing a document that compels school teachers to safeguard national security.

The 5 page document, which was issued on the 1st December, was formulated by the Education Department. The guidelines were proposed by the previous Lin Zhang government and was approved by Gong Chūrù. Human rights activists claim that the guidelines undermine the right to dissent.

Police in Lukabari have successfully destroyed a mini crop of opium found in an underground cave in the mainland city.

Authorities say the crop belonged to 2 men in their mid 20s and is likely to be the primary source of income in the area.

The two men have refused to cooperate with the police by not supplying the names of their buyers.

POLICE ARREST 100 LEFTIST ACTIVIST AT FORMER CHEN MAUSOLEUM SITE.

Police have arrest 100 activists with links to far-left organisations including the Marxist Party for taking part in a Chen Jong Sun tribute.

The joint tribute and protest event took place in Lùshuǐ, the former site of the mausoleum of late brutal dictator Chen Jong Sun. Protesters claim that the body was taken away from the mausoleum and cremated on the 17th December without public consultation. Then President Lin Jia Dan claimed that it was done on the 24th December.

The site is now a ranch owned by businessman Tang Mìfēng who was at his property at the time of the protests. Police say 100 people were arrested after refusing to leave the premise.

President Gong Chūrù has defended the voting results of the 2022 legislative elections, arguing that people are satisified with his Conservative Party and his governance.

The question was asked by a journalist during a weekly press conference in reference to the recent legislative election results which saw the saw the Lower House gone the way of the Conservatives.

President Gong has pointed out there are alternative parties on the ballot but voters have expressed their satisfaction with his party’s policies. “We are not a one party state…people are content with Conservative Party policies” He said.

Kashgar extremist are said to be responsible for the defacing of a statue depicting General Qiáncǎo.

The bronze statue was pelted with stones at around 2.00AM this morning. CCTV footage shows three youths wearing black robes committing the foul act.

General Qiáncǎo was best known for being King Wang V’s close advisor during his reign and is widely revered for his diplomacy.

10 YEAR JAIL SENTENCE FOR SUICIDE PACT ATTEMPT.

Two friends have been jailed for 10 years for attempting to die in a suicide pact.

Ren Dānbǎn and Zhu Zūnjìng, both aged 27, attempted to take their own life by sealing themselves in a shed and burn charcoal. Police officers noticed smoke coming from their house in Pyongjing and knocked down the door, finding the pair unconscious.

The High Court has deemed their actions as reckless and found the pair guilty of attempted suicide and arson.

Right wing shock jock Chen Tiàoguo has called for Bai Lung to become a one party state in a defiant message towards President Gong Chūrù.

The outspoken conservative pundit claims that the country will become more coherent and stable if one party is the sole political entity. He has also called for public hangings for any Kashgar who defaces statues in the future.

Pop singer JazzE has been charged with possessing 100 grams of ketamine.

The singer, whose real name is Wu Kǎinà, was searched by police at the Pèidélǐ Nightclub after as part of a crackdown against drug use. Mr Wu was charged at 0100 this morning,

The singer’s agent has confirmed they will attempt to bail him out.

DRUG ADDICTED CABBIE JAILED FOR 20 YEARS FOR PHYSICALLY ABUSING SON.

A taxi driver has been jailed for 20 years imprisonment for physically abusing his teenage son as well as receiving a restraining order that bars him from making contact with him.

Wei Hāqian physically abused 16 year old Yàyà over a 3 year period which included drugging the boy, physically assaulting him and imposing sleep deprivation. Mr Wei admitted to having a 12 year addiction to cocaine.

Upon issuing the sentence at the High Court, Chief Justice Hong Byu-Chen called Wei a drug addled monster who preys on the weak.

20 people have been arrested by police for blockading the entrance of the Presidential Office Building.

The rowdy group chained themselves on the gates of President Gong Chūrù’s place of work. Two protesters held a banner demanding that Presdient Gong should deliver a Christmas message, an act now deemed an inpeachable offence.

Police have confirmed that 10 of the 20 individuals arrested have also taken part in the anti-Chen Jong Sun cremation protests but evaded arrest. Their faces were identified through video footage of the 17th December protests.

DONG MEN MLA DEMANDS PERMANENT BAN OF SUBVERSIVE TV STATION.

Dong Men MLA Ai Sha has called for President Gong Chūrù to withdraw the broadcasting licence from Mòbèi Inc, the company that runs Tien Ha TV after they broadcasted a Christmas Message in lieu of President Gong choosing not to deliver one himself.

The station has received multiple fines for breaching the TV Code of Conduct covered under the Telecommunications Act of Bai Lung 2018 that forbides TV stations from broadcasting Christmas themed or Western themed events. This year generated more controversy when they broadcasted a message lampooning President Gong played by comedian Han Guāěr.

President Gong has said he will comply with existing law that forbids a leader from delivering a Christmas message, a move universally praised by the public.

SUBVERSIVE TV STATION FINED AGAIN.

Mòbèi Inc, the company that runs Tien Ha TV, has been fined BL$2.5 million for broadcasting a satirical Christmas message that uses the likeness of President Gong Chūrù.

It will be the 5th consecutive year that the tv station fell foul of the TV Code of Conduct covered under the Telecommunications Act of Bai Lung 2018.

A spokesperson for the station has said they will pay the fine but insists that the message is lighthearted and does not represent the actual views of the President.

TRIO OF DRUG MULES ARRESTED AT BAI LUNG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

Three people have been arrested and charged for the possession of cocaine at Bai Lung International Airport.

The trio, all aged 20, were found carrying small bags of the illegal substance after sniffer dogs barked in their direction. The drugs were found in the soles of their trainers.

The trio denied that they are drug mules and they were victims of a drug plant by the police.

KASHGARS TO BLAME FOR COLLAPSE OF TOWER CRANE.

Kashgar insurgents are to blame for the collapse of a tower crane which crashed into the scaffolding of a construction site in Uzbari.

With limited eyewitness reports, police have estimated that the saboteurs entered the Mǎ Jiāngjūn Finance Centre construction site at around 0200 this morning and used detonated a homemade breeching charge. The explosion caused the crane to fall to its right and hit the ground. No one is injured.

It is the second attack on a tower crane in the city this month following a similar incident on 2nd December.

President Gong Chūrù has approved of an amendment of the existing curfew laws designed to curb the celebration of the birthday of brutal dictator Chen Jong Sun.

Zhōngyāng Dǎo, which contains the capital, Hu and Deng island will retain the 7 day duration but the mainland will not see the curfew lifted after 8 days. President Gong has cited the on going Kashgar insurgency as reason for having a longer curfew.

Kashgar leader Iffan Omarsk has claimed the curfew has made it easier for fellow Kashgars to firebomb Bai Lungese homes during this period.

President Gong Chūrù has not ruled out the possibility of using the military to help enforce the week long anti-Chen Jong Sun curfew from 1st January.

Although police have the resources to enforce the curfew, some police forces in different parts of the country have experienced difficulties in dealing with rowdier law breakers. Chief Constables have expressed fears that the small number of anti-curfew participants will become a larger political movement.

President Gong has allayed such fears, adding that using the military to assist police officers in the week of the curfew.

In the early hours of this morning, a red Sāi Sīnà 1000 flew over the capital with a banner attached to the plane’s fin reading: HAPPY 104TH BIRTHDAY GREAT ETERNAL LEADER. Although the banner did not mention his name, 1st of January marks would could have been the 104th birthday of the brutal dictator.

The pilot who flew the plane has been arrested and will be questioned.

A man has been arrested by police on suspicion of being responsible for hiring a pilot to fly a plane that carried a pro-Chen Jong Sun banner.

30 year old Hú Tǎmén allegedly paid pilot Wén Dāndùn BL$2,000 to fly his red Sāi Sīnà 1000 over Pyongjing as display the banner wishing the late brutal dictator Chen a happy 104th birthday. Mr Wén gave a physical description of the individual who paid him to display the banner which lead to the arrest of Mr Hú.

Pyongjing police have turned down a BL$10,000 bail for Mr Wén, citing security reasons .

Pyongjing Police have vehemently denied reports that Hú Tǎmén, the man responsible for hiring a pilot to fly a plane that carried a pro-Chen Jong Sun banner, has been waterboarded.

Leaked photos from the Pyongjing Central Police Station shows Hú’s face completely soaked in water, leading to many believe that he was waterboarded by the authorities in an attempt to bring a quick confession from him.

A statement from the Pyongjing police firmly denies that Mr Hú was subjected to water torture and his appearance is the result of excessive perspiration during his interrogation. They maintained that Mr Hú has been well fed.
