The World Assembly will hold a vote to repeal the Don’t Kill the Poor Act.

Labelling it as simple bureaucratic bloat, the repeal proposal says killing of poor is already covered in Convention Against Genocide and therefore is not necessary to have a resolution like Don’t Kill the Poor Act.

President Gong Chūrù has confirmed that his nation will vote for repeal.

E-BIKE GOES UP IN FLAMES IN CENTRAL PINGJING.

An e-bike has gone up in flames in the busy Fuxing district in Pingjing in the early hours of yesterday morning.

No injuries are reported when the Nantang Kestrel model V suddenly went into flames. CCTV footage shows the fire started at 0015 hours.

Nantang has announced free checkups of all Kestrel model V lines in the wake of the fire.

PORT TO POLICE APPEALS TO PUBLIC TO FIND YACHT MAST VANDAL.

Port To police have appealed to the public to find the individuals responsible for damaging the masts of 2 yachts.

The masts had been slashed repeatedly with a knife or other bladed weapon in the early hours of Thursday morning. No motive has been established.

The yachts, worth BL$2.5 million, were owned by businessman Yang Yélā.

MAN ARRESTED AT AIRPORT FOR CARRYING PEPPER SPRAY, STUN GUN IN CHECKED LUGGAGE.

Airport security have detained a man in Bai Lung International Airport for possessing an array of non-lethal weapons in his checked luggage.

Liang Bùdé, from Pingjing, tried to smuggle a pepper spray, a stungun and a baton but a routine x-ray scan detected the forbidden items and security were informed.

Mr Liang attempted to flee the airport which ultimately ended in his arrested. No motive for smuggling the weapons has been established.

BAI LUNG TO VOTE IN FAVOUR OF CHILD LABOUR RESOLUTION AT WORLD ASSEMBLY.

Bai Lung will vote in favour of the repeal Restrictions on Child Labour resolution, a spokesperson to President Gong Chūrù has confirmed.

A vote to repeal the resolution is currently underway with the contents of the original resolution being criticised as being obsolete and poorly written.

To date, the repeal vote is gaining huge support with almost 75% of nations voting for it.

MAN BANNED FROM DRIVING FOR 5 YEARS FOR PLACING TODDLER SON ON HIS LAP IN CAR.

A driver has been handed a 5 year ban from driving a car for putting his toddler son on his lap and allowing him to steer the wheel of his car.

Kang Cāozuò, a sales exec from Pingjing, placed his 10 month toddler son on his lap and allowed him to steer the wheel. The incident took place on 20th October last year.

Kang said he would contest the Pingjing High Court’s decision, calling the outcome as bogus.

YOUTH ARRESTED FOR DROPPING CANNONBALL FROM BALCONY OF RESTAURANT.

A 15 year old boy has been arrested for throwing a cannonball from the balcony of the Xiang Seafood Restaurant in Pingjing.

Tang Shāxī threw a 5kg cannonball from the 3rd floor on the restaurant, hitting the roof of a nearby taxi.

Tang attempted to flee the scene but is stopped by police at a nearby street.

ACTOR QUITS SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWING CYBER-BULLING; INSISTS IT IS NOT APRIL FOOLS JOKE.

Character actor Feng Yuánhuán has announced he has shut down his account on ThrushXpress, citing the number of hostile comments made towards him.

Mr Feng, who has over 250.000 followers, said many of his comments consisted of users lambasting his performance in the TV series King of Pingjing playing Prince Fu and making thinly veiled threats to him.

Many claimed his quitting of ThrushXpress came at 1st April which is April Fools Day something that Mr Feng dismissed as a coincidence.

BAI LUNG TO VOTE IN FAVOUR OF HUMANITARIAN TRANSPORTATION REPEAL RESOLUTION AT WORLD ASSEMBLY.

President Gong Chūrù has confirmed that his nation will vote in favour of the Humanitarian Trnasportation resolution.

Reasons for repealing the existing resolution centres around on criticism of it being redundant and it is superceded by Resolution 340 Access to Humanitarian Aid.

President Gong has generally agreed with part of the statement but added that 340 must also be repealed as it is an overreach from the government.

TWO MORE YOUTHS ARRESTED FOR THROWING HEAVY OBJECTS FROM ROOFTOPS INSPIRED BY CANNONBALL THROWING PRANK.

Two more youths from Pingjing have been arrested for throwing heavy objects from the rooftop of Ping An High Rise flats, injuring two people.

Brothers Li Pángjiā and Li Pángrì threw several objects from the rooftop of the high rise flat they are residing in, some of which weighed 5 kg. Both brothers were chased by police who surrendered themselves at the 10th floor of the same flat.

Their antics mirrored the cannonball throwing incident by Tang Shāxī on Tuesday afternoon.

TWENTY SHOPS IN CUI IMPOSE RULES BARRING UNDER 18’S FROM ENTERING SHOPS WITHOUT ADULT GUARDIAN OR PARENT.

Twenty shops in the city of Cui have imposed a temporary ban on under 18’s from entering their premise alone unless accompanied by a parent or a guardian aged 18 or over.

The move comes a day after two youths Li Pángjiā and Li Pángrì bought various goods in their stores and then threw them on rooftops of high rise apartments inlcuding the purchase of a 5 kg kettlebell.

Whilst being billed as a temporary ban, some shops are considering a long term ban until they are satisified with what they describe as a sharp decline in anti-social incidents nationwide.

MAN ARRESTED AT AIRPORT FOR SMUGGLING KETAMINE HIDDEN INSIDE SOCK PUPPETS.

A man has been arrested in Bai Lung International Airport for smuggle 2 kg of ketamine hidden inside sock puppets.

Zhong Cíěr, tried to smuggle the drug outside by hiding them in sock puppets and stitching up the sections where he placed the drugs. Sniffer dogs kept barking at his checked luggage realising something is suspicious.

Despite not physically resisting arrest, Mr Zhong went on a lengthy rant about how he was being set up by the police.

A man has been arrested for recording himself riding on a motorbike and driving through the General Han hike trail.

Li Wòlì recorded himself driving down the 20 km trail despite several signages forbidding vehicles from entering the hiking area.

Mr Li was arrested at his Sing Ren house when he uploaded the footage on ThrushXpress which gained over 1 million views and leaving a mixed reception.

PINGJING METRO BANS GAS CANNISTERS IN TRAINS.

Pingjing Metro authrorities have banned passengers from carrying gas cannister on board their trains, effective from today.

The latest item ban comes one day after a passenger carried a propane gas cannister on board a train. He was subsequently accosted by police and was handed a BL$250 fine.

The cannister is the latest item ban alongside paint thinner, bicycles and durians.

PINGJING POLICE SUCCESSFULLY CRACKS DOWN ON OVER 200 STREET HUSTLERS IN ONE WEEK.

The Pingjing police has successfully arrested and fined over 200 individiuals engaging in illegal street hustling in the capital.

The vast majority of those arrested used the shell game to con unsuspecting individuals of their money. Many of these hustlers encouraged participants to wager large bets.

Police have announced similar crack downs in 10 other cities this week.

KASHGAR CAUGHT WITH SLEDGEHAMMER WITH INTENT TO SMASH SHOPS IN TURKMENBARI.

A Kashgar youth has been detained by Turkmenbari police for carrying a sledgehammer in public.

The weapon was concealed in 19 year old Boreesh Tokareff’s trenchcoat. Tokareff, who was detained on Zhong Tien Street, admitted that he planned to smash up Bai Lungese owned shops.

In addition to a sledgehammer, Tokareff was also carrying posters bearing the face of leader Jumyri Andropev.

A man has been ejected from the Pingjing North District court for disrupting a court session there.

Tang Lǐáng carried a placard inside the court advertising “quickie divorce” schemes. The case Mr Tang disrupt was a divorce hearing.

Security were called into the courtroom ejecting Tang and arresting him on the spot for his antics.

A man has who was rescued at the Golden Bard Bridge in Pingjing seemingly suicidal turns out to be a prankster whose stunt went awry.

Pang Pányě turned out to be performing a practical joke for his ThrushXpress account but the attempt went awry, leaving him hanging above 15 metres above ground but at the same time being unable to free himself from the rope tied on the bridge itself.

The incident took 30 minutes to resolve. Pingjing police immediately arrested him once he was freed from the bridge.

YOUTH JAILED FOR 5 YEARS FOR HIJACKING BLCTV NEWS APP AND ADDING FAKE NEWS.

An 18 year old youth has been jailed for 5 years for hacking into the BLCTV News app and adding fake news items into it.

Guo Dàofū admitted to hacking into the application over a dozen times last year and adding bogus news stories.

The High Court has unanimously voted to convict Mr Guo for his offense. Remaining silent, Mr Guo’s lawyer added that he was remorseful but the trial left him in silent and unable to respond to his charges. Mr Guo’s sentence will begin on 15th April.

STREET BUSKER BANNED FROM CUI FOR SINGING POLITICAL SONG.

A street busker has been permanently banned from entering the city of Cui for singing a bunch of satirical songs about Presdient Gong Chūrù.

Qi Délì played the songs in the city’s centre, angering many residents in the Conservative stronghold.

The public anger resulted in Mr Qi’s arrested but he was released without charge on condition that he left the city within 24 hours and never return.
