“Kelly Minn’ow-Jones…five million, six hundred…”
There was a deafening cheer that caused the chairperson of the EGM to pause until he could continue
“…Kelly Minn’ow-Jones…five million, six hundred and forty one thousand, six hundred votes. Robert Tyn’dahl…one milltion, two hundred and thirty eight thousand, four hundred votes…”
Again he was interrupted, this time by jeering and cries of “The whole thing has been rigged!” and “It’s a wind up!”. The chairperson of the EGM paused again before continuing.
“I hearby declare Ms Kelly Minn’ow-Jones, leader of the Federal Dannistrian Nationalists Party.”
A loud round of applause rang out for several minutes as the victorious former First Minister walked onto the stage. She waved to the audience as she took her place at the lectern. She paused for effect before speaking.
“Fellow Dannistrians, I thank you for voting me into this position in the party. For too long, our nation has been falling into a state of decline. For too long, we have been subject to far too many restrictions on what we can and cannot do regarding a certain problem. For too long we have been restricted by political correctness about what we can and cannot say about this problem. Well, no longer. As we speak, fellow East Dannistrians are making their voices heard that they will no longer tolerate the unabated flow of illegal, Bai Lungese immigrants into our glorious nation. We can no longer stand now and simply accept it. Now is the time we stand up…for…ourselves!”
Minn’ow-Jones thumped the lectern on each of the last words, pausing as another round cheer rang out throughout the hall.
“It is now time for East Dannistrian to rise up against the Bai Lungese threat. Our brethren and the wider global public must understand that the Bai Lungese are a dangerous people who can no longer be trusted. They have repeatedly threatened us with violence in the past and expect us to accept their ways of life regardless of where they spread. Not this time! Not this time! We now say enough, is enough, is enough!”
Another cheer.
“We have to now consider what may have previously be unthinkable. That is, the Bai Lungese are fundamentally a people who cannot be integrated into Dannistrian society and therefore we must consider their removal, for our safety and that of others. To allow East Dannistaan to flourish once more!”
There was a loud cheer which when it died down, allowed Ms Minn’ow-Jones to continue on her speech. Much of it was in the same vein with her going through “proof” that East Dannistaan, For’af especially, was going into massive decline into crime and poverty with the Bai Lungese immigrant community still in the country. She proceeded to rant on repeatedly about how much of a danger they were and discussed various ways they could be deported at minimal cost and effort. Each time she paused more applause and cheering would ring out, although certain members of the audience, mostly supporters of the former incumbent leader, Robert Tyn’dahl, would occasionally jeer, only to be removed from the venue hall…
Londonside District, Northern For’af, East Dannistaan

Londonside was a large district which bordered the BL-town area proper. It was the most northerly point of For’af where you will still see East Dannistrians before actually entering BL-town. It was a run down area with the odd gated community for more affluent residents dotted around. Most of the time, any violence was limited to small scale skirmishes and hurled insults between Bai Lungese and East Dannistrian youths. This was not the case on this evening as a large group of angry workers, homeless and anarchists gathered outside a temporary security cordon set up by the police on the border of BL-town. The howling mob repeatedly chanting out “DEATH TO THE BAI LUNGESE! KILL THE BAI LUNGESE!” and waving placards in an increasingly animated manner. The commander of the police officers manning the cordon would occasionally shout out orders through a loud hailer, warning the crowd to stand back and to return home. The crowd would only give him the benefit of an angry jeer.
After several hours of this, things became very ugly when a molotov cocktail was thrown at the officers, followed by several gunshots. Somehow, guns were passed to a large proportion of the mob, causing things to become dangerous. More orders were shouted and the police took cover as the crowd bayed angrily and attempted to march forward. Then more gunfire from both sides echoed around the cityscape, causing officer and protester alike to scramble for cover…
