Youre currently highly active in Thaecia, at least from what I see, where you run a lot of cultural stuff. Do you believe you can balancd being Delegate with what youre doing in Thaecia? And if you belirve you can balance, theoretically what would you do if you realize mid-term you are unable to balance your work between the two regiond as you think you can rn?

I run events there indeed! Namely the monthly (keyword monthly) Hunger Games and often the weekly (keyword weekly) Paradox Games on Saturdays. This is about my involvement in culture which I would like to maintain because those are games I enjoy and do not hinder on my capacity to carry duties.

Though, due to the overlap in the population of these Paradox Games (Shadow and myself being TEP and THA participating there), I’m also considering hosting games between TEP and Thaecia in line with my point about hierarchy in FA. Once a month maybe? I know from Paradoxical that our two regions bolster a sizeable playerbase for those games so it’s something to entertain in my opinion, and something I would maybe push for (and host myself if needed) even if I’m not elected.

Other recentgovernment involvements include(d):

  • manual recruitment: not doing so anymore;
  • helping with the monthly (keyword monthly) press releases: I only edit articles and less than before;
  • leading military operations: I’ve already stated I will not do anymore;
  • foreign affairs councillorship: I intend on keeping it;
  • roleplay staffer: already at minimum contribution.

I believe this was covered in the WA section of my platform! I want to start with the basics by attempting to launch discussions on every proposal likely to go to vote and build up from there when it comes to the general population.

As for our recent entry into the Heroes of Valhalla project, it’s honestly a development I’m unsure how to capitalise on. It’s naturally open to all interested individuals but this is a subject I’d prefer leaving up for discussion and at the end as the minister’s prerogative.

Im aware its an unlikely scenario since Thaecia and TEP are allies, but weird things often happen so I do have to ask: if TEP and Thaecia engage in a situation that forces them to act differently and places you in a conflict of interest, how do you plan to navigate that situation considering you’re holding two FA positions in two different regions?

Im asking in terms of whatd youd generally do in a situation (whether it be R/D related. WA related. FA related. Etc. Whats the common things youd do to deal with a conflict of interest in all of them.) Why not resign as FA councillor as Thaecia until your term ends?

I apologize if this was covered in another reply; these days I don’t have the time to read through them all, unfortunately. But I read through your campaign and there’s some points I wish to mention for your consideration:

  1. Your plan relies on enough manpower to do all this. This relies on Outreach. Which relies on manpower. Who will be doing Outreach? Where will you get the people?

  2. Comparing delegates from a time where activity spiked to delegates from a time where it dropped doesn’t display a fair narrative. Shadow’s decline in endorsement rate is not solely a product of their actions - it’s a product of a lethargic TEP, with little manpower and fewer folks still with the drive to be active. This is the true issue, not the delegate’s own responsibilities. How can your aggressive, active approach to endotarting fix this?

  3. In doing away with diplomats, how will you attempt to establish personal connections with regions? How will you attempt to establish lines of communication? How will you attempt to deliver news and reports?

If the unlikely scenario is to happen then I would resign as councillor yes. Otherwise I do not see the necessity in resigning from that position because to me the benefits outweigh the hypothetical.

I’ve specified that this plan is the ultimate aim rather than the base. Otherwise I intend on discord welcoming (and walking through) people myself while making sure people know we need help in that department. Telegramming new WA nations is secondary to that, but may discord welcoming function without my full devotion I would also delve into it.

I have explained this to Serge and I will simply quote myself as a result:

I agree there is an issue with manpower, but my actions prove that Shadow did receive (my) help to a degree regarding the WA. There is no unfair narrative here. It is a fact Shadow did not do as much as Aurora; and while we did not ask them do so as much as she did, endotarting daily (or every two days) would’ve helped their numbers.

Now again if we recognise there is an issue with the capacity for one person to commit to these actions, then we recognise this is a systematic issue which requires changes to be brought up. Until then the system compels the individual and we’re all very much aware of that fact.

Note that I’m not saying this to blame Shadow because they’ve done great overall, but that I see an issue with keeping a system putting all responsibilities on the Delegate and at the same time blaming the lack of manpower for them not fulfilling their most basic duties (because the Delegate was busy in other departments due to the shortage?). At this point we’re entering magisterium territory though (and I have a thread there about this already too).

Let’s be frank here and admit that diplomat most of the time did not do what you describe. Some exceptions confirm the rule (Shadow for example), but that’s it. Lines of communication are established through the Delegate/Vice-Delegate/Minister of Foreign Affairs’ own network of people they know. There’s a reason the term “FA Delegate” exists afterall. Plus it’s not like we even have the manpower to have a proper diplomatic corps anyway. And if we had, we’d bore them out with what essentially is a glorified poster job.

Delivering updates would just fall on the shoulders of the Del/CMoFA/Councillors. IC-FA combined should have access to all platforms our partners use for delivery or can otherwise join them.
