I managed to figure out and fix the polar distortion on the TEP Urth Globe project

[spoiler]Fixing the distortions alters the lines of latitude on the flat map. While the polar circles (Arctic/Antarctic) shrink a little, so will the tropics. And the equator shifts southerly. I blame this on errors in my calculations when converting the map to the Gall-Peters Projection. The greatest effect will be felt by Vekaiyu, Listonia, and Fourth Imperium- these nations suffer a slight shift north that compromises their biomes somewhat. I know we can fix this in the Vekaiyun Union by describing the warm currents and geothermal activity in the Gulf of Itur. The situation in GE’s desert is a little trickier. We were basing the current position on the Gobi Desert, which is roughly 42N to 45N. We’re now in the neighborhood of 47N to 51N. I do believe that geothermal activity can once again work in our favor to explain the non-typical environment. What do you guys thinks?[/spoiler]

In regards to my nation I have always RP with I guess this in mind…
Northern part of my nation I RP as being warm all year round. A little over halfway through the large island the elevation goes up and a mountain range goes through the lower half of the island that continues over to the south of the smaller island. I have always said that southern part of the large island has seasons. They can get hot weather to snow. That is why humans live south.
The other thing I can think of is that out of the three small island the one to the left has a volcano and a fault line that runs through that island and the one to its right. That’s just a tidbit. You can have them anywhere
