We have come a long way. From our plights in the hedonistic lands scattered across the globe, to our Exodus to this blessed land, we have progressed a lot in more ways than our previous oppressors could even imagine. They would scarcely believe that the green pastures which was promised to our people was indeed a reality plain and bare before their unholy views and their smoke-infested concrete dens.
Yes, there were sacrifices to be made in the name of the Creator. Most of you would object to the abolishment of many things present in your previous lands. Why is there no TV, you asked. Where is the local bar, you pondered. The answer is, NONE! Such stuffs are unholy and worldly, worthy of being relegated to the Tablets of History. I would not allow the graven and evil images of the television to taint our children. Those who asked for bars and nightclubs, we have already given for them something much more better; in the form of their swift execution, for such unholy pits of sin are but a relic of your past that needs not to be returned. You, my fellow brothers and sisters, have already been reborn, and need not ponder on your previous life anymore.
I should not bother you with any more time-consuming speeches. There are much work to be done in the farms, the mines and the countless working places the government has assigned for each of you tomorrow.
Remember, individualism and freedom is but an illusion. We are eternally the slaves of the Greater Power. Until tomorrow, peace in servitude and prosperity be upon ye. Fare thee well.

Thirdly, the monthly Job Exchange Day is due to be delayed to next week, instead of this weekend, due to unforeseen circumstances. Citizens wishing to change their current occupation may have to wait a few more days. The Workforce Allocation Bureau regrets that such delays were inevitable.
Lastly, the government will start distributing the official schoolbooks to the schoolchildren by the end of this week. As such, parents are required to attend the National Education Bureau for compulsory registration and check-ups.

Latest news! Clerics to issue meat edict. Ban oil-based vehicles, clerics said. Camels free for consumption. Weapons manufacturing declared top priority until next year.

Yesterday, the cleric councils has issued an edict declaring that meat is still viable for consumption, but is not encouraged. The edict was based on a quote from the Holy Book saying that ‘meat shall be consumed in consideration.’ Most citizen representatives supported the motion; a few opposed the declaration and was sent to the correction centers for further actions.

In a related news, the hunting ban on camels has been lifted due to overpopulation of the animal in the country-side. To prevent the camels from disrupting the balance of the forest, the Ministry of Agriculture has allowed each citizen to hunt at most 2 camels. Citizens are required to exchange each slain camel for food rations at the nearest food centers. The ban affects only wild camel however; domesticated and owned camels are not part of the original ban, and therefore are not subject to hunting trips.

The clerics unanimously agreed on the blanket ban of all oil-driven vehicles including cars and motorcycles, and issued an edict on the immediate ban of all automobiles throughout the country. Quoting excerpts from the Untouchable Sayings, Cleric David el-John said that automobiles usage is blasphemous, since such inventions do not exist during the time of the Messengers. He also added that the dirty exhausts and loud noises produced by the vehicles threatens the purity of the environment and is a direct violation of the Sacred Law. All citizens are to surrender their vehicles in exchange for fully-equipped caravan camels by the end of this week.

The Ministry of Offense has shifted the priority of weapon manufacturing from low to high, joining other top-priority industry such as farming and timber. Public Servant Abu xh6, spokesman for the Ministry said that primarily, the action was to sustain the unreasonably low quantity of arms stored in the national armories. When asked if the increasingly aggressive attitude of the neighboring nations also contributed to the factors, he declined to comment further. Citizens interested in joining the weapon industry forces may do so starting from the next Job Exchange Day.

The clerics have issued an edict making it compulsory for all citizens to abide by the religious clothing code and to use government-provided uniforms whenever possible. Cleric Edward ad-Din, a representative of the council was quoted as saying that the influx of negative fashion from neighboring countries has made it a necessity to shield the minds of citizens from possible taint and curb the problem at the very root. Following the action, the price of all clothing articles will be raised and government-issued uniform would be distributed free-of-charge. Those found wearing revealing clothes would be arrested under the Seduction Act of the Sacred Law, which carries a maximum penalty of death, or 30 years of slavery, or both.

The clerics council has passed the proposal to validate public elections as a mean for government. The 500-page verification edict released to the public yesterday recognizes that public election is an effective method of governance at regional level, eliminating the need for a central cleric to govern a remote region. However, the method applies only to regional governments; central government would still be subject to the divine mandate method currently practiced as per the Sacred Law.

Criminals serving long terms in jail would be subjected to free labor under the Civil Slavery Enactment recently implemented by the Ministry of Public Work. Under the enactment, the convicts would be bound to 18-hours per day work, and paid only with rations, instead of deenars. This would greatly accelerate productivity rate of the country and avoid unnecessary overwork by normal law-abiding citizens. Any convicts wishing to avoid the enactment would be allowed to do so on the pretext that they willingly accept having a sentence transfer from a jail time to a death sentence.

The cleric council has issued an edict allowing foreign unbelievers’ technology such as powered transportations and electronic media to be publicly used under very strict supervision. The move, according to scholars at the Capital University, will usher in much more progress and enable government to function more efficiently. Following the edict, the national monorail project, previously put on hold due to legal barriers, is now officially opened for public use, hopefully shortening the travel hours between the cities in Fyrdowsi. A spokesperson for the cleric council however, advised that all citizens make a salvation prayer after using the infidel technology to absolve themselves of the needful sins of the technology.

The government ignored the demonstration by students protesting the high fees of university and calling for government-funded varsity education, yesterday. According to Manservant gw98, an officer of the Ministry of Education, the government issues only study loans, not free funds, on the grounds that it will spur the students to achieve more in pursuit of the high achievement payment waive. In reaction to the protest, the police force has captured one of the leaders of the demonstration, and cut off both his hands in the public square of the capital city, in accordance to the Penal Code. In Saif Aquem, three party members of the Omnipotent Creativity (OC) party were killed when a group of men armed with swords ambushed a group of OC policy-makers returning from a discussion session. A police spokesman said that the policy-makers were on their way to a mess hall after holding a discussion regarding a new innovation policy in a temple near the city center. They were just about to leave the temple, when several men jumped on them from the second floor of a nearby building and immediately drew swords upon them.
Gq-1376, the leader of a local OC branch, died on the spot when one of the assailants beheaded him. Junior cleric Geber, who acted as the supervisor for the discussion group, fought off the attackers using his sword and defended the rest of the group from further assaults, but later succumbed due to a grave injury he sustained during the fights. Lf-72, a librarian from the Saif Aquem’s Center of Innovations, had her hands and legs chopped off in the incident. She died on the way to the hospital.
The attackers managed to escape when the Urban Swords civil patrol arrived on the scene. The police has denied any link between the murder and the ultra-conservative group Eternal Servitude, despite claims by eyewitnesses that the attackers wore the Servitude’s insignia. The local judge has granted limited judiciary authority to a special task force enforced to solve the crime, enabling them to judge and sentence the suspects on their own should the suspects be found.

Latest news. Children raised as professional soldiers for the army. Aeroplanes banned and converted into scraps.

The government has recently passed the legislation for children to be raised as professional soldiers for the Fyrdowsi armed forces, amidst much criticism. An anonymous spokesman for the Eternal Servitude, a majority of which made the most vocal support for the legislation, exhorted that children were taught to use weapons and kill in the name of the Creator back in the days of the Messenger, so it is only fitting that such policy complied with the Sacred Law.
Public Servant Ij-38612, a spokesman for the Divine Knowledge, opposed the idea by saying that while children were raised to be fighters in the days of old, modern situation has made it largely pointless for children to be soldiers from such a young age. He reiterated the efficiency of current conscription policy, saying that the current armed forces recruitment effort has provided more than enough manpower.
The Council will review the policy again tomorrow to fine-tune the legislation. A proposal was made during the closing of the legislation session to procure orphans with no living kins from welfare homes as primary source of the recruitment, with forced conscription of suitable children from large families as secondary options.

The airplanes ban is enforced again, following a repeal of the Powered Flights Act. Taking into consideration the amount of environmental damage such vehicles imposed, and the possible violation of the Sacred Law, all existing airplanes were to be either converted into cheap housing units or disassembled into scraps for industrial uses. A member of the Undying Faith, who wished to express his opinion on the condition of anonymity, said that the result was quite expected. He added that it is blasphemous to allow airplanes to exist, since they certainly did not exist during the Messenger’s time.
The Aviation Department which handles the matter of powered flights will not be disbanded however. The Council unanimously agreed that the department is still crucial in handling foreign powered flights into Fyrdowsi, and the matters of alternative powered flights options.

The new government under the Omnipotent Creativity party has reinstated the official radio service of the nation, Divine Voice, after 4 years of service discontinuation under the previous Undying Faith government. The action was implemented after a bid to repeal the Ban All Media resolution was successful, with a slight majority. Rachel ty8765, spokeswoman for the Omnipotent Creativity party, said that the decision to resurrect the radio service was the main agenda in the general election. She cited the recent drop in general knowledge of the populace as being caused by blanket ban of all media, a policy enforced by the Undying Faith to promote their partisan values. She added that further plans to bring back the newspapers and possibly Internet is in order, and is likely to be carried out by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Undying Party who agreed to give out statements on the condition of anonymity, said that the move is not likely to halt the party’s effort to rein in the media and restrict public knowledge distribution. When asked if the move will bring negative effects to the nation, he replied that, quote, ‘Too much knowledge breeds sin, and you know that each new innovation drag everyone closer to hell’, end quote. He declined to add further.

In another news, the government has agreed on a program to make possible the payment of taxes via non-monetary means, such as public service and asset trade-in. The decision was lauded by the Finance Ministry, who felt that it was high time for the citizens to pay their dues via anything but money.

The finance bureau has announced that Fyrdowsi is officially in deep deficit, owing to a number of needless fund spent during the last Budget. The deficit will not have any bearing on daily life, but it will have a negative effect on Fyrdowsi’s international trade quality. As of today, the Council will enforce the third clause of the Needful Sins Code, which allows every citizen to engage in private economic activities, to counteract the effect of the deficit.
Representatives of the main parties has a mixed response to the call. The Omnipotent Creativity representatives commented that the situation will force the Council into cutting out a major portion of research fund. A spokesperson for the Eternal Servitude declared that the party has begun a secret project that aimed to revitalize the Fyrdowsi’s economy, but declined to elaborate more.

The cottage weapon industry in Fyrdowsi is given a new breath of life, following the announcement of additional incentives for weaponry enterprises. The finance bureau today allocated a total of 20,000 deenars as incentives for new weapon entrepreneur. Breaking news. Oversea Submittans and non-Submittan Vekaiyun refugees seek asylum in Fyrdowsi. Eternal Servitude sets up privateer fleet for high sea patrol.

A small group of oversea Submittan followers and non-Submittan Vekaiyu refugees has arrived in the capital of Adl Justia today, seeking asylum and possible citizenry. The group emerged through the emergency unidirectional gateway of Rex Sultanis in the northern part of the country yesterday, following the civil war in the war-torn country of Vekaiyu. They spent a few hours in the scorching day heat of the desert before a nearby Urban Swords patrol came to the rescue. According to a spokesperson of the group, they were sent through the gate by agents of the theocracy operating in Vekaiyu. A cross-check with the Order of the Hourglass confirmed the allegations. However, there are still no news from the agents, and they are assumed to be missing in action.
Government spokesman said that although immediate citizenry is available to the Submittan refugees, the same benefit could not be extended to the remaining non-believer refugees. Under the Wartime Sanctuary Act however, they are permitted to live and work just like a normal citizen within the boundary of a refugee camp. The government also reserves the right to withhold or release the refugees back to their homeland, although the situation in the region’s mainland would likely mean that the refugees would be stranded for a long time.

The Eternal Servitude party has organized a privateer party specializing in sea combat in order to raise fund for their party. In line with their ‘Return to the Old Ways’ program, the privateer fleet will identify specific targets along the international sea routes and commandeer the targets back to Fyrdowsi for asset re-evaluation purpose. The party’s spokesperson refused to elaborate the details of their targets, but maintained that the pirates haunting the sea routes would be on their top priority. Associate Cleric Paulus Ansar has been elected as the fleet commander. The fleet will be put under the supervision of the Naval Fleet, and is subject to laws of the sea.
The privateer’s flagship, VOS Karolus Martellus, will be on public display in the port city of Taam before its official launch later this week.

The Privateer Fleet finally has been launched from the West Port earlier today, following severe delay due to classified reasons. The long-delayed launch was officiated by the Navy Admiral, and blessed by the Second and Third Wise Man of the Council.
Two issues about the privateer fleet have been amended. The first, regarding the command chain of the fleet, has been amended greatly due to keen interests from the public. Although initially an Eternal Servitude’s plan, all the other parties in the nation have agreed to join forces and submitted their own funds into the privateer fleet. Due to the changes, the structure of the command chain has been amended to allow the participation of other parties. In short, the flagship will be manned by a unity command unit composed of the Fyrdowsian political parties, and four more ships will be commanded by a representative of the dominant parties.
The second amendment, regarding the objective of the fleet, was necessary due to changes brought over by several international events. For security purpose, the objective changes will not be mentioned by radio, but will be circulated to the public in prayer sermons.
It is hoped that the fleet will deliver the message of the Way to the world, gain material wealth for the nation and combat the vices so often plied on the international waters due to lack of national jurisdiction. The fleet will be on a parade route circling all around the Fyrdowsi island before leaving for international waters tomorrow. Citizens wishing to view the parade can do so from all major ports in Fyrdowsi.

'At 0800 yesterday, the Privateer Fleet has successfully performed the 1-month-long parade route around the circumference of our dear country. No problems has been detected so far. The masts and sails are working perfectly, and this showed that the ancient ways are still viable even in today’s modern world, where we live our life under the onslaught of consumerism and capitalism.
At 0900 today, the Fleet will finally leave the vicinity of the island and goes on their own into the international waters. From time to time, the smaller supply and maintenance vessels will shuttle to and from our country, but the main body of the fleet will remain out there, spreading our words to the outside world.

Let’s wish these boys and girls of our nation a fruitful and safe journey! Spread the Way, children! Peace in servitude upon you all.’

As some of you dear listeners may know, our Fleet has been in the international waters for quite some time now. Besides its primary objective of clearing the waters off the numerous pirates plaguing the international trade routes and looting the pirates’ assets, it is also responsible for a number of classified missions directly under the jurisdiction of the Cleric Council.
This is the first contact with the fleet after several months of hiatus. Let’s hear them out!

FHoG: “… Copy that, Divine Voice. This is the Flagship Hands of Glory of the Fyrdowsi Privateer Fleet. Your signal has been identified and authenticated. You are cleared to speak at leisure.”

yk7: “May I know who is on the line?”

FHoG: “I am Servant Michael 4678, communication officer of the Hand of Glory.”

yk7: “It’s been 7 months since we last heard from you. Can you tell us about the Fleet’s achievements in the past months?”

FHoG: “As requested by the Department of Fishery, we’ve destroyed several pirate groups operating close to our shores. These pirates used to prey on our fishermen, interrupting our food supply, hence the priority was given to complete annihilation of these pirates.”

yk7: “Interesting. So what’s the fate of these bandits?”

FHoG: “We’ve commandeered the pirates’ sea vessels and sent them back to our ports to be reused. The leaders of these pirates had been tried and executed under the Seafaring Act for aggression against our citizens and violation of the Sacred Law. Their sailors were granted pardon, and released back to the sea on a rescue boat.”

yk7: “Commendable, Servant. But from what I heard, these pirates have the best equipments and weaponry, based on accounts from the affected fishermen. Can you tell us how you defeated these bandits?”

FHoG: “The best I can tell you is that the men from the Eternal Servitude Enforcer Frigates did most of the work. The rest is classified.”
