East Pacific University Degrees

Holders and students of the University of the East Pacific! I hereby unveil my proposed degrees for our great University! They are of Bachelor, Masters, and Doctoral level. They are used as a general degree for the level; as each program would require its own if it were not this way.

To achieve a degree from the University, a citizen must complete a curriculum composed of modules or lessons. These lessons are to be done in a specific order and then checked for completion by the faculty head or by the Chancellery in order to move on. Upon completion of the curriculum, the student shall apply for graduation and the Chancellery will bestow the degree.

A Holder or a citizen may create a curriculum and propose it to the Council of Holders for approval. Once a curriculum is laid out, depending on its length and difficulty, the certificate conferred may be a TEP University Certificate or Degree. The varying levels of difficulty least to highest- Certificate of the East Pacific University, Bachelor, and Masters.

The Chancellery alone may bestow PhDs, but possibly on the advice or urging of the Council of Holders. To achieve a PhD, it must have been shown that the person has aided greatly in the creation of curricula and added in a meaningful way to the content of the East Pacific University. Extra consideration for PhDs will be granted for creation of Masters level programs.

The use of the images below without being recorded to have completed at least that level of education will be considered academic dishonesty, and the student may be subject to a ban from the University and an Administrator appeal to remove the image from the user. In the case of other degrees gained by that user, they shall be revoked immediately.

These are very nice! We can surely use these for our programs, which you have explained very well. I’m sorry this all hasn’t been moving very fast, but the library is done now and we can get on with creating these programs.

We have the following faculties:

Faculty of East Pacifian Studies (TEP History, Culture and Roleplay)
Faculty of Law and Political Science (Regional & Interregional government, Political theory & Law)
Faculty of Nationstates and Strategic Studies ( Nationstates, Gameplay and Military Tactics)
Faculty of World and Fantasy Studies -alternately Faculty of Mysteries or something…(RL Topics and Fantasy courses)

I propose we set out to create programs for these respective faculties of our university and I humbly ask anyone’s input on this. Aelitia has explained the concept very well and we should be able to get on with this.

As a law program, we could start with a Bachelor’s degree in Law. There are some works which can be used to make some modules and I’m thinking about letting the students work with the Conclave as well. As proposed Holder, it’s of course best of Juris weighs in here (The same for other people who were interested in being Holder).

I’m thinking that the Faculty of East Pacifican Studies could host a program that introduces students to the basics of TEP and NS gameplay. This could be managed by the Chancellery or by a Holder.

Any other ideas are welcome.

Looks awesome guys.

Alright, as a first program, I’d propose the following:

This is of course a first draft, suggestions are welcome!

I love how well you have grasped this concept, and what you have suggested is quite practical! I would say maybe make it a simple certificate or add a module or two to make it a bachelor.

I believe once a student has finished the reading, then they should go to a holder or the chancellery for their confirmation. This makes it less work for the Holders because they needn’t keep track of the time elapsed for every student, they just apply in a thread for completion/

Alright, I’ve integrated your comments:

I made it a certificate, because a Bachelor’s in this basic knowledge isn’t really logical, as there can’t be really made a Master’s in this. If you agree, we can reopen the university and host this first program in the Faculty of East Pacific Studies.
