[ELECTION] Nominations for Provost of the 68th Magisterium

The 67th session of the Magisterium is nearing its end, and so it’s time to elect the Provost of the 68th Magisterium.

As outlined in the Standing Orders of the Magisterium, nominations for Provost will be open for four (4) days, after which a voting period will be opened for three (3) days.

IMPORTANT

To become a candidate:

  • A Magister may nominate another Magister. The nominated Magister must then accept their nomination. [SOM §6.4.1.1]
  • A Magister may nominate themselves, but must have another Magister second their nomination. [SOM §6.4.1.2]

A candidate’s candidacy shall be invalid for any of the following reasons:

  • The candidate has declined their nomination.
  • The candidate was nominated by another Magister but has not accepted their nomination during the nomination period.
  • The candidate has nominated themselves but that nomination has not been seconded during the nomination period.

A valid candidate may create a campaign thread in Codex Memorial Garden > The Magisterium.

The nomination period is between: 2025-12-25T00:00:00Z→2025-12-29T00:00:00Z

I sincerely thank you for the nomination, but as I am organising the election, to be compliant with the Standing Orders, I must decline the nomination.

I, too, would love to nominate Ladonatalacton. Unfortunately, as per his memo, he is running the election; this simple fact renders him ineligible due to whatever some fool wrote into our Standing Orders some amount of years ago. Who made that decision, anyway???

Sigh. Guess that means I have to run again. Count me in…
