Power, Heart, and RGBN - Changing and Developing! Judge and Prosecutor elected! Carropia fired, replaced by Loomburg! Pride Month celebrated in Force!

June’s Judicial Jumble by The Chariot
[hr]
This last month, the courts had elections. New faces abundant, all but one of the contenders were fresh to the Judicial system. We had Spoonifo, Yours Truly The Chariot, and Southern Cross running for Prosecutor, and Zamperial, Caduceo, and Carropia running for Judge.

I, not being one to mince my words, will state that the debates showed the aspiring Judges’ inexperience. Carropia did not answer in the debate, while Caduceo and Zamperial, both my good friends, thought that the Judge had any business repealing Bills for any reason other than unconstitutionality. Political powerhouse Libertatis Regalis thought this so egregious that he voted for the candidate who had not answered at all, Carropia, and an abnormal amount of abstains were lodged. The Prosecutor debates were much more dull. Textbook answers to textbook questions from both The Chariot and Spoonifo made the election results determined by past actions.

Wait… where’s Southern Cross? Well, it turns out, Southern Cross, otherwise known as UNPoopburg, a nation banned in Force, registered through his status as a citizen in RGBN. Lashnakia, unhappy, let Southern Cross retain his citizenship but barred him from taking any position in Force.

The Investigator - Minister of Culture Carropia, Removed! by Carropia
[hr]
Just this month, incumbent Minister of Culture, Carropia, was removed from his position by Lashnakia. Carropia nominated his most trusted and hardworking member of the Ministry, Loomburg. Carropia in general completed few things in his term as Culture Minister, yet left many long and tough projects in the wake of his removal. According to inside sources, Carropia constantly came up with new ideas, but was also limited by time to complete them and stretched himself and his resources thin. While Carropia takes the majority of the blame for the lack of production coming from the Ministry, he also called out a few of his CS employees, he claims that they barely did any work (except for Loomburg) and rarely checked in and reported their progress. One might argue that these CS employees are volunteers and shouldn’t have many responsibilities, yet government officials are also volunteering their time to do work and oversee their ministry. According to Carropia there is a lack of respect for the time and effort our government officials put into their work. Do you agree? Do you have any interesting stories you want published? Make sure to message me your thoughts on discord.

The Investigator will investigate and unwrap different stories, also handle controversial quotes and more, managed by Carropia

Fall Of Heart by Salibaic
[hr]
The Heart government has been dissolved again, following a totally inactive government, a trend which has been going on since December. But this time the colony has been downgraded to an Elevated Province. This means that for the first time in a long time, the Territory has been assigned a governor. This is a major event as it shows that due to lack of activity, the region has fallen. Although not all hope is lost as the former Prime Minister of Heart has been appointed Governor in Heart and is hoping to rebuild Heart back to its glory days.

Powering Up by Salibaic
[hr]
The region of Power has undergone many different changes recently with the new. The newly appointed First Minister Aglore as well as the Governor Salibaic have worked hard on the region and we at the Force Flyer hopes to its continued success.

June Roleplay News - An Anti-Communist backlash, Nukes and the Growing End to Poverty by Salibaic
[hr]
RP this May has been more active so let us see what we have in store.

Renegalle defends Amblin after a joint Salibaic and Elysium invasion of which both Elysium and Salibaic withdraw from the war. This also led later to one of the precursors of the sanctioning of Salibaic by Renegalle.

There has been a UN vote in order to search Renegalle for illegal atomic weapons that violate UN resolution #3. The vote failed after Renegalle put severe pressure on Salibaic for lying about how Renegalle had atomic weapons. This, in turn, led to a vote to make Salibaic an untrustworthy state in the eyes of the UN. Both votes failed but did show divide between many allies of Salibaic.

The Imperial Alliance has been disbanded after many nations started to abandon the ideology of this alliance. This has meant more nations are more vulnerable to invasion and economic war.

A major war almost happened after the communist superpower of Great Sibir started the Internationale Alliance of which other communist nations were reluctant to join. This alliance sparked fear into nations such as Elysium who are extremely anti-communist and then Salibaic who is a monarchy also is staunch anti-communist as they put it “could threaten Salibaic into falling apart”. This ended up becoming a major issue with Salibaic and Elysium exchanging threats over this new Alliance. In the end, nothing happened although the war had been proposed but Great Sibir has Defensive Pact with Renegalle, which prevented war.

The nation of Salibaic has issued the world’s first Universal Basic Income for all adults over the age of 18. This is a major stepping-stone in world equality as Salibaic is now leading an example that other nations should strive for although Salibaic is also aiming to copy the Rengalle economic success with its nationalization of key industry such as Power and Water.

The annexation of Kardros by Salibaic has started as Salibaic wishes to control the nation. In return for this $600 Billion shall be handed out to nations with mass poverty such as Elysium. This has not come without controversy but with its support by Renegalle the annex has made it through its process. In sacrifice for this Salibaic has to give up land next to the nation of Seoul-Pyongyang.

This is all for RP this month. Remember to read next month’s issue!

RGBN - It’s Aliveee! by Caduceo
[hr]
Between Force’s few territories, ]RGBN has always been one of the most active, even surpassing Force itself in its RMB activity. The Cabinet of RGBN has decided to take it to the next step, with Renegalle requesting RGBN to be elevated to a Colony. Its elevation status is currently pending, and this led the Force Flyer team to interview RGBN’s President, Minor North West Ko.

[Greetings! So can you tell me more about what RGBN is currently working on/prioritizing?]

MNWK: Oh definitely. RGBN has always been a fun kind region prioritizing in rp and chill rmb conversation. Our first priority right now is revitalizing the rmb via introducing rp prompts that people can [jump] in on if they are interested

MNWK: Before it was an active 9 when we were actively doing more or less everyday. Now it’s more of a 3 to 4, but I’m hoping it’ll increase back to a 7 during the summer

[Can you briefly run us over the currently occupied government positions, how active they are, and what they do?]

MNWK: Well besides me, Shenifar, and Reegalle there’s Tengania as Minister of Roleplaying and Betelgeuse Alliance as Minister of Activities. Though both aren’t as active, I’m sure they have their reasons. Minister of roleplaying is supposed to collaborate with the minister of activities in establishing rping events as well as fun activities the region can do as a whole.

[Approximately speaking, how many active citizens does RGBN have that did not come from Force?]

MNWK: If we’re talking about before Force came to make us into a province, I’d say that there were 8 people , including me, that were active in RPing nearly everyday. Afterwards I’d say that there are now around 3 to 4 active members of the RMB. We’ll see if that numbers continues to rise.

We thanked Minor North West Ko for his time and we’re happy to report that at the time of this article’s release, these plans can be considered a success. The first RP prompt was released on the 9th of June, and it jump-started the regional roleplay to be extremely active on the RMB, and it continues to be so today.

Pride Month In Force by Caduceo
[hr]

Commemorating the Stonewall riots that occurred near the end of June in 1969, the month of June was known as Pride Month, 30 days in which people - regardless of their race, gender, physique, sexuality, religion, ideology, and anything else really - could express their love and support for themselves and each other.

This Pride Month, Force has shown their support for the LGBTQIA+ community in many ways. The first and most notable is our flag, created by Caduceo, which sports the rainbow colors of Pride Month in the background of the classic Force flag. This was also used for the Discord server icon, with special thanks to the persuasion of New Legland. Force’s Elevated Province of Power followed soon after with a Pride variant of their flag, made by Salibaic. Besides the flags, the Force Flyer, if you’ve noticed, also had a subtle Pride change, with a small rainbow arching across the crown. The people of Force also celebrated Pride Month in their own ways, with Zamperial, Mokkland, and Caduceo changing their profile pics with a rainbow-colored overlay. Elysium, whether it was jest or not, changed his to the different versions of the Straight Pride flags, and there’s nothing wrong with that since after all, Pride Month is about love and support!

In conclusion, everyone deserves to give love and to be loved, no matter who. How about you? How did your Pride Month go?

Force rejects invitation to Federal Union! Military does an oopsie that costs weeks of work! Elections - elections everywhere! This month’s RP news, all in this month’s edition of the Force Flyer!

A Federal Failure by The Chariot
[hr]
Just a couple weeks ago, Force took another gander at the meta-region game. [region=The Federal Union] had many regions on friendly terms with Force: [region=Aukumnian Imperium], [region=Red Wolf Alliance], and [region=The Wolf Clan], as well as [region=New Western Empire] and [region=The Democratic Republic]. Other regions such as [region=Thaecia] were planning to join.

In the negotiations, Force was seen as the no-man. Being the stubborn region who would not agree to most plans was a signature. Understandable, though, as Force has had a bad history with meta-regions. With the catastrophic Supreme Commonwealth of United Territories, and the alliance that just wasn’t up to PAR, under its belt, Prime Minister [nation=Libertatis Regalis] was not optimistic about this new one.

After less than a week of involvement in the negotiations, Libertatis would hold a vote, to which the Force cabinet refused to join the Union. Despite heavy encouragement from the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, others in the cabinet would refuse to join out of fear that it would detract from activity or infringe on sovereignty, despite claims by the Union that the latter would not come to be.

Ultimately, after two failed attempts, it would seem that Force’s third try charm is not trying at all.

The Investigator - Success In The House Unwrapped! by Carropia

[hr]
Disclaimer: The views expressed in this article do not necessarily represent the official views of the Government of Force.
Almost 1 year after it first convened, the house has come off its best term yet. With big names such as Libertatis Regallis, our current Prime Minister, The Chariot, long-time Minister of Defence, as well as long-time Representative Carropia.

This three-headed giant of a group was able to pass quite a few bills into law, namely the Deputy Installment Act, The House Framework and Speaker Act, and the Government Transparency Act. To many in the government, as well as the citizens of Force this was refreshing, the House struggled to consistently pass more than 2-3 bills per term. This has to be the addition of Chariot and Libertatis, Carropia the third member of this all-star cast hasn’t had another prominent member since the removal of Salibaic. In an interview with Carropia, he said, “You know it was refreshing to have those guys out there with me, I’ve been in the House a long while and have struggled alone for far too long, it was very nice.”

After this productive term, the people of Force once more have confidence in the House, the real question is whether they can keep up without Libertatis? While Tigslarlowducken, Caduceo, Lashnakia, Loomburg, Sir Sword BJ, and Carropia are all Reps. this term, the House has seen no progress yet a lot of drama. Hopefully, this new cast can turn it around and repeat the successes of the last term.

Prime Minister Elections by Salibaic
[hr]
The july Prime Minister elections were rushed this time due to Renegalle and the former Prime Minister going away and thus could not deal with the election. The only candidates for PM this election was Sir Libertatis Regalis. Obviously he won the election with all votes for him. Not much was said in the debate but the cabinet has stayed the same. That there really was this election. See you at the next one.

A Special House’s Elections by The Chariot
[hr]
July’s House elections were… not ideal, to say the least. Following one of the most successful Houses in Force’s history, one of the least would turn up. Four people registered to run, only two answered the debate questions. [nation=Carropia], [nation=Caduceo], [nation=Tigslarlowducken], and [nation=Elysium Forests] ran, with the last two not answering debate questions. After a nine-voter turnout, all were elected into the House. Quite ironically, the two nations who did not answer debate questions would go on to be Speaker and Deputy Speaker.

The results? Tigslarlowducken would show blaring unprofessionalism in his run as House Speaker, knowing barely even his duties. [nation=Elysium Forests] went totally silent after being appointed deputy, later revealed to be due to a vacation. And so, House Bill 13 was passed. This bill allowed for the Speaker to call upon special elections to fill the House. And then perhaps one of the most qualified Houses ever would come to be.

Powerhouse candidates, all respected members of the Cabinet, would run for the house en masse. With [nation=New Legland], [nation=The Chariot], [nation=Lashnakia], [nation=Loomburg], and [nation=Sword BJ] would run, with candidate [nation=Atharia] (the only non-cabinet candidate) dropping out of the race. With only 4 House seats to fill, the race became not a question of who to vote, but who not to vote for.

July Roleplay News - Decolonization, Annexation, and Nuclear Reactions by Salibaic
[hr]
Seoul-Pyongyang has had his homeland vacated by the State of Renegalle. In response, Seoul tried to reannex his homeland but was blocked by Salibaic. This has lead to Seoul denouncing Salibaic and shutting down embassies. Especially when Salibaic forcibly removed Seoul from their colony.

Renegalle and Salibaic are decolonizing to help create a better world. The first steps have gone well so far but we are still yet to see the results this may produce on the world.

Elysium and Adlania left the UN after being told time after time not to control nuclear weapons. This lead to Elysium building up an arsenal of nukes which it used to threaten Salibaic and Renegalle. Renegalle was already hated in Elysium after the great wars which saw Elysium lose more than ¾ of the economy and caused major infighting in Elysium. The threat was not put down. However, Elysium did rejoin the UN and gave up the nukes although defense experts from Renegalle and Salibaic both say Elysium will most likely still control nukes.

The UN voted to condemn Sibir after it lied to the international community about Renegalle and Salibaic owning nukes. Salibaic in retaliation to this setup a UN vote but it failed after Sibirs allies came to his aid. Elysium also backed Salibaic proposal.

Elysium has proclaimed that Sibir is not a nation but a terror organization and thus occupied former Elysium land that belongs to Sibir. Sibir in return handed over the land to Marcelli. Elysium then tried to annex the land back and almost succeeded if was not for Sibir alerting Marcelli. This has lead to an escalation with Elysium starting navel exercises outside of Marcelli land and launching missiles into the sea near Marcelli’s mainland. Both nations have also banned trade between each other.

Three Weeks, Too Weak by The Chariot
[hr]
Recently, https://discord.gg/WWpCTgE made its first and only occupation and refound attempt failed. Miserably. Goddamned NationStates | Not Found.

The attempt was made on [region]AMYR[/region], a region [nation=Caduceo] desired for its name. With efforts from him, [nation=The Chariot], [nation=Renegalle], [nation=Salibaic], [nation=ImperialRussia], [nation=Empire of Elysium], and [nation=Carropia], the three-week occupation was fraught with ups and downs, from defenders, to failed refound attempts. On the 30th of June, the final attempt was made. Renegalle, Caduceo, and The Chariot left the region while Salibaic was delegate, using his powers to ban the native, [nation=District-VIII], 30 seconds before the update.

And then… [region=Artificial Solar System] refounded it.

Oops.

Controversy in the Court, General Elections, an N-Day loss-turned-victory, trouble in the Warzones, and a newly reinvigorated RP

Controversy in the Court Part 1 by The Chariot
[hr]
During our recent, quite notable ministerial elections, two court cases were filed: Libertatis Regalis vs. Salibaic, and Libertatis Regalis vs. Greatest Elysium. While it is no secret that Libertatis is not the biggest fan of the defendants, these court cases have brought his distaste into the limelight.

Libertatis vs. Salibaic was an old court case that technically never came to a close, due to it being privately settled. Libertatis filed it once again due to his claim that Salibaic was, again, twisting the words of others and being dishonest. This move would bring backlash to Libertatis, the recurring nature of it making some feel it was unfair. Once the case was accepted, Salibaic, clearly frustrated, agreed to take any punishment or condition levied at him, pleading guilty in the case. He was given a 3 month ban on voting.

Shortly after filing Libertatis vs. Salibaic, Libertatis filed a case against Elysium as well. Elysium was a major supporter of Salibaic, and his campaigning is what got him in trouble. In the roleplay Discord, Elysium told Of Sgrub to vote, with the implication to vote for Salibaic. While this would not be a problem normally, at the time, Of Sgrub had ceased to exist, making him a non-citizen. Depending on constitutional interpretation, Elysium’s actions could be illegal. This, by extension, could also make actions by current Minister of Communications Loomburg in the past illegal, which could bring up further questions on the constitution.

Controversy in the Court Part 2 and General Elections in Force by Lashnakia
[hr]
On October the 1st, Candidacy Announcements were officially opened for Prime Minister of Force. This was set to be a historic race, as neither Lashnakia or Libertatis Regalis, who had been criticised regarding his activity in the cabinet that term, were running. Libertatis Regalis has had 4 terms as PM, while Lashnakia had been the only person to have served as PM for a long time other than Libertatis Regalis, and he had previously stated he was planning to run. However, Lashnakia released a statement announcing he was going to step back from Governmental Affairs, and was not going to be running. With Libertatis Regalis running for the House, this produced the most wide open election for Prime Minister, really and truly, in Force history. Initially, 4 candidates made announcements stating their intention to run, however Zamperial later dropped out of the race in favour of a seat in the House of Representatives, who had only 4 candidates, and 1 ended up later being disqualified for not answering mandatory questions. Back to the race for Prime Minister however, the race was beginning to heat up. Lashnakia News Service made an offer to all three candidates to participate in a debate away from the usual questions posed on the forums. Two of three candidates accepted the offer, those being The Chariot and Salibaic. Due to technical issues, the debate was held in a voice channel, and was not published, however the substance of the debate still proved interesting. Among the main highlights, was The Chariot setting out his plans to abolish to Defense and Communications Ministry’s, Salibaic saying he would have more commitment in the job than his opponents. Both candidates seem to dismiss Salibaic’s previously infamous past, and set their sights on the future. Salibaic laid out his ambitious plans for Roleplay in both debates, while The Chariot argued his pro-independent defense policy. Had New Legland accepted the offer to participate, there could’ve been more of a debate on that, due to a differing position on defense policy. Both candidates gave slight criticisms of the outgoing PM’s activity, while not wanting to stir up conflict. Away from the LNS Debate, the normal debate questions didn’t seem to provoke much difference. Salibaic laid out his plans for RP, seemingly confident that could generate the activity the region had been lacking. Salibaic and the Chariot both stated their intent to cooperate in the case of an ally cutting ties and spreading false information about Force. Both candidates wanted to revamp Roleplay, although the Chariot had a more Culture-focused approach, and also wanted to bolster the military, which had previously had massive problems with activity. This election’s main focus was clearly on the dramatic dip in activity and how to fix it. In the days preceding the debate, Salibaic was comfortably leading in the polls, and the debate didn’t seem to swing voters any other way exactly. However one day after voting began, Libertatis Regalis dramatically took Salibaic to court, for similar charges to the case he took him to court for around 6 months ago. He also took Elysium to court for alleged voter fraud. There was drama in the cabinet, as Deputy Prime Minister Lashnakia dramatically resigned, citing his ‘displeasure’ at the PM’s decision to bring a court case, among other comments which ignited a rather fiery clash between the former Prime Minister. Despite all this controversy Salibaic was still elected Prime Minister, with 9 votes to The Chariot’s 6. The cases are still ongoing, as we wait for the Jury to rule on the case, we reached out for comment among those involved with the case, and the new PM’s previous opponent, The Chariot.

An N-Day Almost Lost by The Chariot
[hr]

Who does everyone hate? Liberals. Last N-Day we set out to destroy all of them. And so, All Nations Against Liberals was formed. Consisting of several large liberal-hating regions such as Force, Free Nations Region, Alvaria, Red Wolf Alliance, and Thaecia, it was a hugely successful alliance, even reaching number one on the leaderboards multiple times.
But then the liberal establishment struck.

One person from UPPERCUTS started sending hundreds of puppets’ worth of nukes, constantly sapping our shields. Bikini Bottom, from the liberal region known as South Pacific, nuked us like the liberals they are, all directed at a single nation. After putting up a valiant fight against the liberal establishment that permeates NationStates, eventually lost to the biggest, the baddest, the most liberal: the technologically driven fully automated gay space communist known as the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. We climbed the leaderboards once again, but this time up the radiation board. Thousands upon thousands of nukes barreled in, wiping out all but few of our nations. Would the liberals prevail once again? It seemed so; all was lost.

But then… in a plan proposed by grand destroyer of liberals, Cerdenia, the liberal-fighting force made a comeback. Secretly stockpiling nukes in Ousted Nations Against Liberals, we waited until the last second. Right before the event ended, all our nukes were sent out. A torrent of liberal-killing justice, ORAL’s position as a top ten faction was secured. With a little help from our friends over at the Augustin Alliance, the third ANAL coming managed to fend off the liberals. Amid the liberal NationStates, All Nations Against Liberals has managed to come out on top, showing that even under the suppression of the liberal establishment, justice will always prevail!

The Airspace-Grounded Federation by The Chariot
[hr]

Everyone knows the Warzones are fragile. Unfortunately, it’s a fact that the Warzone Federation may have forgotten. Recently, the large, formerly GCR-backed coalition for Warzone stability collapsed, but not due to raiders, no. It was due to internal conflict.

Warzones are fundamentally unstable. This is due to a couple reasons: they have no founder, there is no cost to banning, and bans are temporary. This makes is common fodder for raiders and defenders alike, as even the more peaceful side of NationStates military considers the warzones fair game. It was exactly this fundamental instability that the Warzone Federation sought to resolve. Boasting impressive update numbers and gameplay-wide support, things were looking up.

Soon, however, a series of hurdles struck the Warzones. The defection of Ballpit, the controversy surrounding the banning of Dinoium, the repeated attacks against the warzones, and the nail in the coffin: Meat’s withdrawal. Meat had been occupying and defending Warzone Airspace with its military on account of the Warzone Federation.

After an unclear conversation between former President Alnorud and Delegate Domais, Airspace decided to withdraw from the Federation. Soon, Warzone Africa decided to follow suit due to concerns over election clarity. After weeks of military struggle, the Federation eventually gave into the secessionist Warzones’ demands: impeach Alnorud and recognize Domais as the delegate of Warzone Airspace. Even though this deal went through, the fractures of the war were far from being repaired. John Laurens was appointed president, which many thought was unjust. Warzone Europe seceded from the Federation, with Alnorud at the helm. Shortly after, John Laurens disbanded the Federation.

Roleplay Reset by Renegalle
[hr]

Following a long hiatus of RP inactivity, due mostly to the statistics program being down and thus a long backlog of applicants, RP is finally back. The newly re-created Ministry of Roleplay and its Minister, Alemputo, have created a new map for the RP as well as a reset, where existing lore has been vanquished and new lore is coming into being. No significant RP events have happened as of yet, but with the new activity, there will be in the days to come.

Alemputo’s Resignation by [nation=Azerubia]
[hr]

Force’s Prime Minister, [nation=Alemputo], has announced his resignation, in a move set to stop the backlash in [region=Heart] after he made several insulting comments in regards to the region during the talks concerning their independence.

Alemputo announced several hours before resigning that when the movie night from the First Union Games would be over he would make a special announcement. He then surprised the people of [region=Force] by announcing, in a heartfelt letter, his resignation and becoming the second Acting PM to do so. Here is his resignation letter:

“To Force and Heart,

I owe you the gravest apology.

My actions have not only led to backlash from the people of Force, but to the people of Heart.

There are no words which I can say which can mend the wounds which have been scoured open, and there are no words which I can say to speak for my action, and lack of action in the past few months.

I ran on promises I have not been able to fulfill within my power, and have let you down in doing so. There are no moments within my eyes which I could consider successes. And I am not saying this to humble myself. I am saying it because this is true.

To Renegalle, I would like to state that I am sorry for the backlashes which I have set against you, and for the unreasonable statements I have made in your regard.

To the people of Force, I want you to know that even though I have your best interests at heart, we both were fazed by my empty promises and unseemly goals, things I could not complete as your Prime Minister. To the people of Heart, my words were not deserved, and the great region of Heart should live on as a place where the toxic statements which I have delivered can be torn down and upended by their roots. I lost an opportunity to make Force strong by making a fool of myself in the process.

Time and again I have failed to lead as I had promised and I had expected. People acted not how I expected to while leading, and I should have understood that my job is to bring people together, and not to divide and rule.

I stand now upon the edifice which I have regretfully worked so hard to chisel away at, but forgot that I was on top of. Now, it has reached the mount of instability which rocks me off, and most deservedly. I regret to inform you that I will be stepping down from Prime Minister, because I have consistently proven that I am not meant to lead. I don’t know who is. The job was more than I could handle on top of me being a student, a family member, and boyfriend.

Though this is not goodbye, I know that my credibility befalls you like the dying crows. I’d like to serve you, and I desperately want to make this home for me a home for you all as well. I found I lost myself on the way, and after reflection I know that Force can do better at choosing, and I can find better positions to serve you.
I am so sorry for wasting your time.”

The region’s leadership has now been assumed by [nation=Lashnakia], the Deputy Prime Minister of Force, who will only remain the PM until the end of the emergency elections unless he gets elected. Debates for the next Prime Minister and one House seat have started. You can find them https://forcens.com/index.php/topic,326.0.html.

Alemputo also sent an apology letter to Heart in the hope of restoring the relations with the region. [nation=Empire of Elysium], one of Heart’s most important pro-independence members, reacted to that letter saying: Thank you for your service to our region, and to our union. I wish you the best of luck, outside of office.

[hr]

Heart says YES!!! by [nation=Azerubia]
[hr]

[region=Heart] has said Yes to independence during their non-binding referendum on whether the citizens wanted to leave the Union or not.

From NationStates to Discord, 9 citizens took to the polls on a website specially created for the event as the region delivered a close victory for the campaign to abandon the Union. This victory was achieved with a difference of only 1 vote, 5 in favor of the Yes and 4 against.

The referendum was held after two-third of the cabinet members of Heart voted to hold the referendum.

The result helped [nation=The Scottish Republic], the First Minister of Heart, pressure the government of [region=Force] into giving Heart more autonomy.

A deal was concluded a while after the vote with the results being that Heart stays in the Union while gaining more freedom in their diplomatic relationships like being able to send diplomats of Heart and not of the Union and creating embassies without the approval of the capital.

Recently, there has been a virus almost as deadly as the COVID-19. Lurking in the shadows it has been hitting people of Force one by one. Its name? 1NAC-T1V-1TY or more commonly known as inactivity. This disease hits everyone going from citizens to government officials! This is why this month’s Flyer is so centred around it. Anyway, to counter the spreading of the disease that has claimed the lives of more than 10% of the people in Force, some drastic measures were taken.

Firstly, [nation=Alemputo], the PM at the time, proposed the First Union Games to try and fight off that inactivity while [nation=Qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm 1234567890-] decided to create the Force Comedy Improv Show. Sadly, they were not enough as even though Force became a little bit more active for while, the population was not rising at all. That’s when [nation=Caduceo], the Minister of Internal Affairs, came up with the idea of daily questions on the Regional Message Board. The concept was to ask almost every day, simple questions like “What is your favourite music?” to get the RMB active and to encourage the people of Force to participate. Since then, the RMB has been more active than ever and people and the population is now near the 193 nations of last month.

After several days of daily questions, [nation=Tigslarlowducken] even reacted by saying: “What the hell why is the RMB active”

Is the Prime Minister inactive? by [nation=Salibaic]
[hr]

Following the release of the newest Activity Stats by the Bureau of Statistics (formally GARC), the Prime Minister has been shown to have little activity in the Union government. Official reports state that the Prime Minister [nation=Alemputo] has only sent 25 messages in the cabinet this month which has been a shock to some. It was also reported that the Prime Minister has also given very little input into ministries except for the Ministry of Culture, sometimes not even posting at all in some ministries.

However, it was reported that the Prime Minister has been more active in the Citizens chat of Discord (Grand Plaza) sending 137 messages this month. This improvement shows that the Prime Minister has been more interactive with the citizenry; although it still raises concerns that the Prime Minister is more focused on general talk rather than interacting with government officials.

We asked for a statement from the Prime Minister citing this question: Mr. Prime Minister could you give me a statement of your thoughts on what Activity Stats report says about your activity?

The Prime Minister stated: “I like that the government tries to do an attempt on providing activity on the Prime Minister and Speaker of the House, and I definitely think that it is a necessary method on transparency. I think that having the activity committee primarily based on messages sent on the discord server is inherently flawed and does not provide the big picture, however. I think that in order to provide the big picture the Activity Statistics report is to not only provide the number of text messages sent but also accomplishments during that week or month or however, the period is for the set stat report. The primary thing is to provide data, but I think the data collecting method is inherently flawed and thereby not an accurate statement for the people. Now that it is in the Ministry of Internal Affairs I can discuss with Caduceo how to better the accuracy of these reports.”

We also asked the chief of the Bureau of Statistics, [nation=Tigslarlowducken], this question: Could you give me a statement on the Activity Stats report and what it says about Alemputo?

He stated: “Alemputo’s activity schedule is random at best. Certain ministries are sometimes neglected in favour of others. Which of the ministries are neglected and how many are afflicted varies rapidly. He also tends to get really touchy when someone mentions it. Even though most of the time he’s online when it’s mentioned. For example, the announcement he just made. Right after that, you [Salibaic] asked him to make a region-wide telegram he said: ‘I have a life.’ This wasn’t just out of the blue, it was immediately after Sali had taken the time to make a post he easily could have copied and pasted into a telegram. I have also just learned that in his statement he attacked the methods I use to collect my data as ‘inherently flawed’ without actually going into detail as to why they are so. I include a margin of error in every release, and every user’s post count is taken directly from Discord.”

These two statements show a drastic contrast between each other. Alemputo appears to dodge the question about his activity by instead attacking the current system for message tracking. Tigslarlowducken meanwhile attacks Alemputo for getting ‘touchy’ when the issue of inactivity is mentioned. The question now is; how do we improve this situation?

P.S.: This article was written before Alemputo’s resignation.

The Heart Statehood by [nation=The Scottish Republic]
[hr]

Following the latest passage of amendment ten of the Constitution of the Union of Force and its Territories; the second state to enter the Union has become [region=Heart].

This has been one of the most major achievements following the reinstatement of Heart government with [nation=The Scottish Republic] being appointed as First Minister. The passage of the new amendment is sure to bring a bigger change to the union as with Heart being upgraded to state it brings up the question of whether we should invest in our other territories.

An official statement from the First Minister on the matter of the passage of statehood was “I believe this is the beginning of a change in our union. I am glad that the region has managed to achieve this high, outperforming all expectations and reaching a state in which Heart has become a political force in the Union. I believe this could not have been done without the help of others such as [nation=Empire of Elysium], [nation=Hua], and surprising [nation=Libertatis Regalis] who proposed amendment ten.”

Amendment ten as mentioned in the First Ministers statement was proposed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives [nation=Libertatis Regalis]. The amendment put [region=Heart] on the same ranking as [region=RGBN]. The amendment passed the House of which it was then put to a citizen’s vote which passed with 100% for with a total of five votes. This is a disappointing number of votes but the amendment passed and with that [region=Heart] became a state.

Where did the Roleplay go? by [nation=Salibaic]
[hr]

Where did the Roleplay go? That’s a question that has been on the mind of a few.

For those who do not know; the roleplay was reset after an abrupt stop due to several fights between RP nations, mostly [nation=Greatest Elysium], [nation=Salibaic], [nation=Alemputo], and [nation=Renegalle] to name a few.

Anyway, the reason why the roleplay was reset was due to the rage quitting of Sgrub, [nation=Jam Lung], and [nation=Alemputo]. [nation=Greatest Elysium] was also later banned from the Union RP.

Nevertheless, the outrage came from aggressive action from nations and what some called ‘unfair’ war. This time a war against Of Sgrub by [nation=Sumeka], [nation=Salibaic], and [nation=Renegalle] went too far for certain nations. The war was claimed to be started by [nation=Salibaic] to reduce Elysium’s ‘allies’. This culminated in outrage from [nation=Greatest Elysium] who tried to form a coalition to help Sgrub. A massive fight broke out and the war was blamed on [nation=Greatest Elysium] by [nation=Alemputo]. This caused as previously mentioned nations to quit the Roleplay which sent the RP committee into disarray.

So what happened next? Well, the RP committee headed by [nation=Sumeka] decided on a Roleplay reset. This involved the creation of a new map and a reset of everyone’s stats in the RP system. This was shunned by [nation=Salibaic] who completely opposed an RP reset and later criticized the map. However, a new map was chosen and an archipelago formation was chosen. Also, new resources were added to the map such as silicon and tungsten. Also, a new application was created which can be found An Error Has Occurred!.

So why is the roleplay not active again after all this effort was put in to change it to prevent another situation as mentioned above? Well, this can be attributed to many issues. First off, nobody that left has joined back; leaving the roleplay with very little active roleplayers. Second of all, the RP committee has very little activity with no current prompt from the Roleplay chairman to create activity as well as one of the most active RPers [nation=Greatest Elysium] was removed and banned from the committee. Third, the new stats have not been updated at all causing apathy to take part in the roleplay.

Where do we go next with roleplay? Now, the solution to the problem is one that is not easily explainable as nobody knows what to do. But one thing is certain that the current status quo has to change for the Union Roleplay to survive. Many government officials may give solutions but it’s only under our guise will we manage to change the roleplay into something enjoyable for all.

Inactivity is in the House tonight! by [nation=Azerubia]
[hr]

What was the House doing this month? If you asked any citizen of Force this question midway through the month they would have said: Nothing!

The House was completely inactive during the first half of this short month with only 85 messages which even though it may seem a lot it’s actually extremely low compared to usual, and we also have to consider that most of it was unimportant stuff. Only one bill and one amendment were voted on during that time and sometimes there was a streak of 5 days without one message.

But why was it like that? Well, there’s more than one answer. First, there was the infamous House Bill 27. This bill that was intentionally created as a joke became one of the prime examples of how much power the House has. Here it is:
House Bill 27: Salibaic Grammar Act
Purpose: Salibaic must know grammar.

Article 1: Salibaic’s Education
1. Salibaic must take grammar courses on the provided website: Free Online English Grammar Courses | Alison
2. Salibaic must provide proof via screenshot of completion.
3. If Salibaic doesn’t take part in these grammar courses, he will be muted in all channels in Force and its territories.
Article 2: Salibaic’s Completion
1. Once Salibaic has completed and provided proof of the grammar course’s completion, this bill is null.

As you can see it was not at all serious but then the House started accepting it which by the law at the time meant that they only needed the PM’s approval to get it. Alemputo vetoed it meaning it couldn’t become law but the House reacted by trying to override the veto. Seeing it had gone too far the Representatives decided to not override it and to abandon the bill. During the vote for the bill, [nation=Salibaic] also declared:
“I am so MAD. This is a violation of my human rights.”

After this, the Speaker of the House, [nation=Libertatis Regalis], decided to put the House on recess for 48 hours which is one of the things that gravely impacted the activity of the House.

The other thing that affected the House activity was the fact that at the same time, [nation=Loomburg] and Libertatis Regalis had private issues that stopped them from being active. There was also the fact that one representative, [nation=Carropia], was just inactive and even ceased to exist. They tried to give him 3 days to refound but he was too late and got kicked out of his seat. He is going to be replaced by the person who wins the next emergency election in the category of the representatives.

But, you may ask what is the House now since I said that it was inactive only during the first half of the month. Well, it’s back to being active again. In fact, in the last 9 days, it recorded 196 messages!

The First Union Games are here! by [nation=Azerubia]
[hr]

From the 16th to the 23rd of February, Force held one of it’s biggest events, the First Union Games! This idea was first proposed by [nation=Alemputo] who wanted to fix the inactivity in Force. The concept was simple, a talent show, a contest submissions, a debate night and a movie night. The event was made in a total rush with the announcement being made only two days before the talent show.

On February 16th, the First Union Games were officially started with the talent show. As one of the judges, I could say that the event was a success. Even though the show started badly with no competitors arriving, it was rapidly changed with many contestants stopping by to show their talents. We had many talents shown such as singing, playing an instrument, guessing country flags, etc. Sadly, we had to choose a winner and after each judge gave his note privately the ranking was:
3rd place: [nation=Klan Pets] with a rap on an anime character.
2nd place: [nation=Jam Lung] singing a song while playing on the ukulele.
1st place: [nation=The Chariot] with two piano pieces

The prize for winning the talent show was a custom role that The Chariot decided to be ‘‘chicken’’.

Then right after the end of the talent show, the contest submissions opened. During one week, citizens showed their submissions such as memes, drawings, poems, stories, etc. The winner was decided by our Minister of Culture, [nation=Qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm 1234567890-], and the winner was Loomburg with his She Was Beautiful (Force Copy) - Google Docs. You can see the results https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OiBWq2wDSWNyZMYifoGg5I8B-L2uyuQfAQ-mqoCOyKY/edit.

During that period, there was also the debate night and the movie night. Debate night was a failure due to nobody showing up since there was already a big debate in the grand plaza. In contrast to the debate night, movie night was successful! There were some little problems at the start but after a while, everyone could watch Napoleon Dynamite without any issues. I would like to personally thank Alemputo for renting the movie so everyone could watch it.

TIGSLARLOWDUCKEN AND PRIDNESTROVSKAIA MOLDAVSKAIA

ELECTED AS JUSTICES by Azerubia

[hr]

On the 1st of June, a new election was called by House Speaker Sir Lashnakia. It was time for the June Justices Election and honestly, it wouldn’t have been a Force month without another election.

This election was the last one held without the new updated elections schedule introduced with Amendment 23. Amendment 23, which was sign into law on the 6th of June, introduces two new elections. General and midterm elections. Before, Prime Minister and House elections were held on the same month while Court elections were held on a different one. Now, the Court of the Union will now be elected during midterm elections with the capital’s House seats while the Prime Minister and the territories’ House seats will be elected during the general election, the most important of the two. For your information, general elections will be held in March, July and November while midterm elections will be held in January, May and September.

After the election was called, two candidacies were deposited which meant that even if the two were being elected, there would still be a missing Justice office that would need to be filled. Anyway, the two candidacies were incumbent Justice Tigslarlowducken and Governor Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia who had previously tried to become Justice in the last Court election but due to him failing to answer Debate questions he had been disqualified. After the three mandated days of candidacy announcements, people were ready to go to the next stage.

Due to House Speaker Lashnakia resigning, we had to wait for 4 days for former Deputy House Speaker Empire of Elysium to finally start the Debate stage. The Debate exists so that voters can know the policies of their possible candidates but also to know who’s actually serious about it because if you don’t answer them you are disqualified from the election. Anyhow, both candidates answered in the due time and it was time to pass onto the next phase.

Like most Court elections, the turnout was very low with only 6 people going to vote. In fact, the turnout was so low that the last time an official election had that much voters was in November 2019 Emergency House Election which had 6 voters but only 5 that had a valid ballot. The Force Flyer has found that most citizens do not go voting for Court elections due to them being non-important at their eyes since the Court is barely used in Force anyway. Nevertheless, all of the 6 voters voted in favour of each candidate making them both uncontested and easily elected.

Under the law, if there was a missing Justice in the Court following an election there were two choices. First, the House Speaker could call an Emergency Court Election to try and find a new candidate or the Founder could simply appoint someone. The second solution was the one chosen and on the 17th, Marcelli was appointed as Justice by Renegalle. Marcelli would also later become the current Chief Justice due to his experience at being one in the past.

PREPARING FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION by Azerubia

[hr]

As the first General election since the passage of Amendment 23 is arriving, we can already see that this will probably one of the most controversial and important ones Force will ever have. Like almost every election, the candidacies announcement phase will start on the 1st of the month. Currently, for Prime Minister the candidates that we all know will present themselves are, current Minister of Internal Affairs and Force Unity Party Nominee Caduceo, Democratic People’s Party Nominee Bennisia, incumbent Prime Minister of the New Western Empire United Soviet States of Russian Empire, also known as Texas, (under the nation United Soviet States of Russian Imperial) and incumbent Deputy Prime Minister, World Assembly Delegate and Cheese Party nominate New Legland (as Cumcision). For the House, the Force Unity Party has currently confirmed that they will support Empire of Elysium and Alludo for the Heart and RGBN seats respectively. If you still didn’t know, the general election only elects territorial seats and currently, Heart and RGBN each have 2 seats in the House. Following some rumours, the Democratic People’s Party will also be having candidates for the House but the Force Flyer still doesn’t know who they will be. The Federalist Party will be having Minister of Communications Azerubia (as Suter) as a candidate in RGBN and incumbent Prime Minister Salibaic for Heart (as The Scottish Republic).

Not long enough, there was a controversy concerning the Democratic People’s Party. The DPP was by far the most influential and powerful party of Force and when its chairman and leader Salibaic announced that he would not run for Prime Minister for the general election, it left a big hole that needed to be filled. Azerubia, Sumeka and Bennisia were all candidates for the nomination. Azerubia quickly stood down and endorsed Sumeka after he was elected President of RGBN. Sumeka easily won the voting intentions poll but it was now time for the real election. Bennisia won the election 4 votes to 3 and so went on to get the nomination. As soon as he was elected, Bennisia was accused by Azerubia and Empire of Elysium of having committed cronyism and harassment to get the nomination. They said that Bennisia was going on and talking to every party member and offering them cabinet positions if they voted for him and even harassed a voter so that he would change his vote. They said they had proof of Bennisia doing cronyism but he replied that he was basically just campaigning and was doing nothing illegal, he also said that he didn’t harass anyone and they were just completely wrong. There was also the fact that one voter wanted to vote for Sumeka but due to problems with the forums, he couldn’t. That basically meant that both candidates would have had the same amount of votes which left a clear division in the party. The people that voted for Sumeka clearly didn’t like Bennisia due to them not liking his policies on territories and more. They also didn’t like the fact that just after he was unbanned from Force for voter fraud, he was already trying to become PM. That lead to a massive exodus of members with more than 6 people leaving the party (the party had around 12 members) and even the chairperson Salibaic left the party due to the toxicity that the primary caused. Due to deputy chairperson Azerubia also leaving, the role of chairperson was given to Bennisia. Most of the members that quit the party would go on to join the Force Unity Party or become independent, Salibaic and Azerubia even decided to create their own new party, the Federalist Party, which is a party in favour of giving more rights to the territories.

The Force Flyer would also like to remind you that while preparing for this election, please inform yourself by looking at the candidates’ and parties’ policies before choosing your vote. Currently, the only candidate having released a program is NationStates | Dispatch | Caduceo for Prime Minister, we don’t know if the other candidates wil release programs but Texas said he wanted to wait for a debate to release it, also parties have manifestos that you should definitely check. Here’s the NationStates | Dispatch | Federalist Party Factbook | Manifesto manifesto, NationStates | Dispatch | [ Force Unity Party ] manifesto and NationStates | Dispatch | The Democratic People's Party Manifesto manifesto. You should also wait for the Debate, with a capital D, to start on the forums because that is mostly where candidates will reveal their policies. The Force Flyer is also planning to organize a debate between candidates on the Discord so stay tuned. We also want to remind you that the people that put the most efforts in their campaigning aren’t necessarily the best choices and that policies should always come first.

THE TERRITORIAL REVITALIZATION PROJECT by Renegalle

[hr]

This month, the Prime Minister and I undertook a massive project to revitalize the territories, an integral aspect of the Federal Union, which up until now had not been seriously tended to. Revitalization takes more than a simple pledge; it requires real steps to be taken. We did this by appointing (and for once, capable) new leaders to existing territories, helping them build up government institutions and resources, encouraging participation in federal elections and events, and reforming the laws concerning the territories.

The first concrete step we took to do this was the appointment of Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia (also known as Nevertheless and the current Chief Research Officer), on June 11, as Governor of Power. So far, he’s grown the previously inactive region from just one nation to 10, with plans in future to increase both that and the WA population (although progress has been admittedly slow, partially because of the well-known summer lull). He’s also started API Recruitment to help ensure the longevity of any population gains and hopefully in future, a steady population increase.

Then just a few days later, on June 15, Chundukeratopia (a former Minister at one point and former high profile member of the now-defunct alliance, the SCUT) was appointed as Governor of Canterbury. Since then, they too have started API Recruitment and begun the construction of new government institutions, including a Constitution for the region. Canterbury is a unique territory, due to its history. Prior to becoming part of the Union (and being refounded), Canterbury was a prominent region in the defunct interregional alliance known as the SCUT. It had its own government, complicated regional politics (which at one point resulted in a coup), and an amazing culture. After the SCUT went inactive and Canterbury itself did too, many of the region’s members came to Force, where almost all of them would assume prominent positions. The Chariot, a former member, became Deputy PM, Minister of Defense, a member of the Court, a House Rep., and ran a nearly successful PM campaign. New Legland, the current Deputy Prime Minister and World Assembly Delegate, who also once served as Minister of Foreign Affairs, was a highly prominent member of Canterbury who for the latter part of the region’s history controlled the Founder account. Chundukeratopia, the aforementioned Governor of Canterbury, who was also a former member, has also served in important positions in Force, including Minister of Internal Affairs. Due to this unique history that Canterbury has, a special focus has been made on honoring this. That includes the Governor inviting former citizens back to the region, the revival of the Discord server (the same one that once served the region when it was sovereign), and the naming of certain institutions, such as the Femoral Council, to honor regional icons.

Again on June 15, another major step forward was made for the territories. RGBN began its first election in a while, while after several days, resulted in the election of Suter (also known as Azerubia, the current Minister of Communications) as President. RGBN was different from most other territories, in that it had a stable population and a somewhat active government. Even then though, it suffered from chronic inactivity, which led its incumbent president to withdraw from the election race just prior to its conclusion. Since Suter’s election on the 20th, he has rearranged the Cabinet and added a new member to it as well as making a serious effort to revitalize the RMB’s RP, which drove much of the region’s historical activity. In his time so far, the region’s population has remained stable, at about 35. RGBN, similar to Canterbury, also had a history prior to joining the Union. As a sovereign region, it was Force’s first embassy (after The Embassy) and one of its members made Force’s first RMB post. Its members were always courteous and friendly in their interactions with us and they had a very active RP and lively discussion, which at one point helped their population surpass 130. Unfortunately, the region became inactive and at one point, when its population had gone into the single digits, announced they were shutting down. Luckily, we took notice of this and their Founder agreed to join the Union, in exchange for us doing our best to revitalize the region and increase their population. Ever since, they’ve been a Union territory and now hold the highest classification besides the capital, which makes them a state.

Finally, some changes happened in Heart. While the region hasn’t been extremely active since First Minister Salibaic became the Union’s PM, it has maintained a steady level of RMB engagement and First Minister Empire of Elysium has started doing manual recruitment in hopes of gaining new members. In addition, there is word of a potential change in leadership soon, which could potentially help increase the region’s engagement.

Beyond the appointment of new leadership and building of institutions, a territorial reform law (Amendment 25 to the Constitution) came into effect after periods of voting by the House and citizenry concluded on the 29th. The amendment shifted responsibility for the territories away from the Office of the Prime Minister (who term after term has shown itself incapable of effectively dealing with both the capital and the other territories) and to a newly created office, that of High Commissioner. The High Commissioner, unlike the PM, is appointed by the Founder. They are charged with appointing viceroys to each state (and other important territories) in order to coordinate the flow of information (news, events, elections, etc) and work to deal with issues that the territories face. The Prime Minister is still the leader of the Union, but their role has now changed to that of inter-union cooperation, rather than direct intervention. Some other changes were made in the amendment, including adding special classifications of territories which previously existed but weren’t formally recognized by law, such as Military Occupations. Finally, Territorial Law was recognized as its own form of law. They cannot contradict, amend, or suspend federal law, but only House Law and the Constitution can contradict, amend, or suspend them. Executive Law, the type of law created by the PM or Founder, can continue to do things it could before, such as appoint Governors to non-state territories but can no longer affect territorial law. This creates a special separation of powers and helps to achieve a more equitable federal system. In case of conflict between federal and territorial laws, the Court has the ability to strike down those which are illegal.

Throughout the Union’s history, territories have played an important, but understated role. They have supplied us with some of our most capable leaders and engaged citizens, contributed to our laws and reforms that we’ve undergone, and continue to play an important role in Union politics. In recognition of this, these actions have been taken in order to promote the further development of the territories, elevate their status, and ensure cohesion in what is, after all, a Union.

PRIDEMONTHINFORCE by Caduceo

[hr]

So - here I am again. It really doesn’t feel like a year has passed since the last time I wrote about Pride in Force, yet here we are - after celebrating Pride 2020 inside the Union of Force.

I don’t think it’s an overstatement to say that Pride Month in Force was much more extravagant this year than it was last year, with 80 nations more inside the region than it was last June, the celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies were much more vocal and impactful. In fact - last time I wrote about Pride Month I was able to enumerate the few people who changed their Discord profile pictures to various Pride variants, but now - so much people did it that I can barely list them! You know who you are, so good job 🏳‍🌈

We also got a couple of fancy new Pride Month variants of the different flags being displayed across the Territories that make up the Union of Force. Force got a new design (because the one I made last year would literally burn your eyes out from all the bright colors :P), and so did the states of Heart and RGBN. Not only that, but the Force World Factbook Entry had a little change in the motto displayed - “Freedom, Justice, Reasonably Priced Love, and Freedom To Love” - which proudly stayed on the WFE for the duration of the month. Even the two major political parties of the Union - the Democratic People’s Party and the Force Unity Party - had rebrands in their respective logos in celebration of the event, the DPP styled a rainbow background and the phrase “Love Wins” on top of their Snowy Owl, and the FUP logo waved a Pride Flag instead of their usual orange flag. Indeed, this month was one of the best experiences I’ve ever experienced - where I and the other members of both the LGBTQIA+ community and the Union of Force truly enjoyed just hanging out and talking freely and openly; And so in the spirit of embracing this wonderful community I am a part of, I sincerely thank all of you for giving me and everyone else such a warm and comfortable atmosphere to truly be ourselves in, not only during Pride Month but any other day as well.

It was truly a breath of fresh air for many of us - because in these times we need each other more than anything else. In times where it’s dangerous to simply leave our homes; In times where injustice and discrimination are violently displayed; In times where people are forcibly and constantly divided - but in these dark times are also when the light is brighter than ever, for in these times are selflessness and kindness keeping us strong; in these times are when our voices sound louder together; in these times are when love matters most. Pride Month 2020 has helped amplify the beauty in humanity that is now often overshadowed - and we need to keep being the light even as Pride Month comes to an end. Be thankful, be loving, be human. This has been Caduceo greeting you a wonderful and beautiful Pride Month :orange_heart:

THE FIRST FORCE ROLEPLAY WORLD CUP by Azerubia

[hr]

This month, the Official Force Roleplay hold one of its biggest and longest event it ever had. It was the 1992 Force World Cup. Held in the United Socialist States of Azerubia and Niemaa, this competition was held similarly to what we can see with the NationStates World Cup. Pretty early up in the preparation of the competition, the hosting cities of the tournament were revealed and they were respectively in the azerubian cities of Zarevica, Smerot, Zvorventa, Obrejinova, Brelava and Crezevac. The tournament was scheduled to start on the 1st of June (RP Time) but before that, on the 1st of May, was the draft. The draft revealed what nations would be in what groups and here were the results:

Group A: Azerubia, Kingdom of Adlandia, Heonix and Pyrwen
Group B: Renegalle, Greatest Elysium, Niemaa and Appalachia (Great Allegheny)
Group C: Salibaic, United Nations of Colombia, Dragvir and Silvedania
Group D: Sumeka, Matria Union, Tigslarlowducken and Illyrus

The group stage started off pretty calmly with no real stress since only one nation in each group was going to be eliminated after the end of the group stage. The unlucky winners were Pyrwen, Greatest Elysium, Silvedania and Illyrus. Silvedania lost all of its games due to them forfeiting after the player decided to quit the roleplay while the tournament was ongoing, Illyrus and Greatest Elysium both managed to get one point due to ties but that wasn’t enough for them to qualify and Pyrwen, even though he won one game, was behind Azerubia and Adlandia by one point and couldn’t qualify. In contrast to them, Heonix, Dragvir, Niemaa and Sumeka had managed to be top one of their competition and so had the right to pass the first round.

The first round of the final stage saw the nations of United Nations of Colombia, Matria Union, Tigslarlowducken and Appalachia all get eliminated respectively by Renegalle, Adlandia, Azerubia and Salibaic. It was at this point that the competition really kicked off. People started cheering for their team to win, were disappointed when they were eliminated and whenever the daily matches results were revealed, people started talking about them. Even some news sources of some nations started talking about the event and people had really been starting to be excited to see the results. The second round was a surprise as all the frontrunners of the group stage were eliminated except Niemaa who managed to eliminate the host and their biggest rival, Azerubia, 2 to 0. We were now on to the semifinals. Renegalle would be against Adlandia and Niemaa would be the opponent of Salibaic. Both Renegalle and Salibaic managed to come out on top and sent the losers to the bronze final. Niemaa was the one to win against Adlandia 3 to 2 in overtime and we were now onto the big final. Results haven’t yet been released in RP but the Force Flyer can now announce to you that Salibaic has defeated Renegalle 4 to 2 and is now the World Champion. Salibaic will also receive the $10 billion cash prize that was promised to the winner and he will be able to use it for whatever does he wants.

A NEW ERA FOR RGBN by Suter

[hr]

Following the latest RGBN election, I (Suter) have been elected as the new President of the region. Under my new leadership, I would like to work on reviving this region and trying to create a new golden era for it. I do not want to try and idolize on the great past of RGBN and trying to recreate it but more try to make a totally new RGBN with a totally new look. We currently have over 30 nations in the region but not a lot of them actually interact with each other. That’s why I would like to try and recruit new people from here in Force. If you join RGBN, you will still keep your Force citizenship (and all of the rights that come with it) and the right to talk on its RMB since RGBN is part of our great union. We would like to become bigger and greater and you would have the chance to help my big project. RGBN always has been a region made to chill so you won’t have a lot of responsibilities if you join and even the government is pretty chill. We even started our own roleplay but it is currently inactive due to not enough members. I also want to introduce a legislative branch for RGBN, I’m thinking about going for a representative democracy or even a direct democracy with an assembly where everyone could participate. I would love to hear your feedback on this. Anyway, if you are interested in helping me in this great project you can telegram me or even contact me on discord (Azy#4617).
