Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Lunaria

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Lunaria

The Democratic Republic of Lunaria, commonly known as Lunaria, is a sovereign state located in the bay area of north-western Gondwana. This nation spans 38 islands, with territories in the coastal areas of west Gondwana. It currently shares maritime borders with Acronis to the north, Zukchiva and Ayaupia to the west. It shares land borders with Sanctmunitis to the west and Ragea to the east. The north-western part of the Lunarian Archipelago is located in Urth’s Pacific Ocean while the larger landmasses to the south-east of the Lunarian Island are located in the Eastern Sea.

Lunaria is a parliamentary democracy, with a two-House parliament system. The Prime Minister of the country serves as both head of state and government, and is appointed by the majority party (or alliance) of the Council, which is in turn elected by the citizens of Lunaria through a party-list proportional representative system, in which citizens vote for political parties that appoint members of the Board and the Council.  The Capital city of Lunaria is Port Oculus, with 2.7 million residents living in it (according to the 2018 census), and a metro area of 2860 square kilometres. Other densely populated urban areas of Lunaria include those of Port Beacon, Cynar, Topesk, Vanoru and the Valley of Affluence.

The national Gross Domestic Product of Lunaria is $1.157 trillion ($19,500 GDP/Capita), which is mainly supported by the machinery manufacturing industry and the service industry. Other major industries in Lunaria include the semiconductor manufacturing industry, the transportation industry and the oil extraction/refinery industry. Currently there are about 59 million people residing in Lunaria, a majority of which are elven, though all species and races are treated equally in Lunaria.

Enjoying its cultural and economic privileges as a former Morstaybishlian colony and it’s strategic location in the Pacific Ocean, Lunaria is a continental cargo hub in Gondwana. Observing that international trade is on the rise, we believe that our ports and harbours could provide strategic advantages for countries and corporations alike. Seeing as it is mutually beneficial, we strongly recommend trade agreements and/or zero tariffs with Lunaria.

OFFICE OF SECRETARY OF STATE
PROLETARIAN COMMUNES OF AURALIYU

To Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Lunaria,

Our Administration has shown interest in wanting to establish further relations with the Democratic Republic of Lunaria, and is willing to further economic and diplomatic integrity as we extend out this invitation to you on behalf of the Chairman of the Communes and Office of Secretary of State. Terms of this diplomatic invitation are as follows:

-Diplomatic Exchange
-Embassy Exchange
-Cultural Exchange
-Student Exchange
-Open ports
-Free workers movement agreement

On the possible establishment of a trade agreement as specified in the terms at your embassy, Auraliyu is willing to offer 3 of its 10 largest exports, which is wheat, maize, and pharmaceuticals in exchange for a selection of your exports. The provisions of this agreement can be amended if possible to expand our trading further, and we are hoping this agreement could be the best on both of our terms. We thank you for considering this letter and hope we can do further business in the future.

Best regards from,

MARLOS EVENDILE
Secretary of State

Alan Guyvais Center
11-055 Massley Drive
Ave’lose, Ave’lose Capital Commune

To the Hon. Marlos Evendile,

We are pleased to have received a request for an embassy exchange from the Proletarian Communes of Auraliyu. On behalf of the Democratic Republic of Lunaria, we hereby recognise Auraliyu as a sovereign state.

Regarding the requests for the cultural exchange program and the student exchange program, I believe you will be pleased to hear that proposals for both of these programs are approved by the Minister of Culture and the Ministry of the Education respectively, and are currently awaiting approval from the Prime Minister. I am certain that these programs will continue to grow the relationship between our countries.

Moreover, we wish to negotiate the finer details of the trade agreement between our countries. Seeing as pharmaceuticals are one of our country’s largest imports, we plan on reaching an agreement on the trade of specific product classes. In return, our main exports are industrial parts and industrial machinery. Ultimately, we believe that lowering or possibly abolishing tariffs between our countries is beneficial economically and societally.

In addition, the legislation for Free Workers Movement Agreement is now introduced before the Parliament. Although we cannot guarantee the passage of the bill, we can assure you the full support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs for this legislation.

Furthermore, a sizeable space has been reserved in Port Oculus for the embassy of Auraliyu, and we wish to establish a mutual embassy in Auraliyu. Please let us know when you require our assistance.

Best Regards,
Janet Futani
Minister of Foreign Relations

The Democratic Republic of Sokala

To the Hon. Theodore Dorbes,

We are pleased to have received a request for an embassy exchange from the Democratic Republic of Sokala. On behalf of the Democratic Republic of Lunaria, we hereby recognise Sokala as a sovereign state.

Regarding the non-aggression pact with Sokala, you will be pleased to hear that it is currently being reviewed by the Department of Defence and pending approval by the Prime Minister. As a core value of Lunaria, we believe that resolving international conflicts requires calm and peaceful negotiations between different parties in order to minimise fallout.

Currently, the requested trade agreement with Sokala is being reviewed by the Department of Commerce, and will hopefully be accepted soon. We would also like to enter a workers exchange program with Sokala as our countries produce the same types of goods. We believe that a workers exchange program can ensure the quality of goods produced in both our countries. We hope to further negotiate the details of the workers exchange program.

Kamusta!

We have reserved a space for your embassy in Bondoc City. We have an Ambassador to Lunaria, May Golding, and she will handle all Lunarian-Sokalan communications. A workers exchange program would be beneficial to both of our countries. We’d cooperate with anything you would love for us to do.

Sincerely,

Theodore Dorbes
Minister of Foreign Affairs
The Democratic Republic of Sokala

To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Lunaria,

Grindoligarch sees it as a mutually beneficial endeavor for our nations to establish an exchange of embassies, a mutual acknowledgment of sovereignty, and a non-aggression pact to ensure peace between our nations and protect/secure any future pacts or arrangements made either through this correspondence or in the future.

If it would prove that both of our nations are working towards similar technological advancements and are at a similar point in such endeavors, a research agreement may prove mutually beneficial as well.

Furthermore, Grindoligarch is interested in opening trade between our nations and is able to provide the following exports: machine parts/manufacturing (on request for specific parts or machines), military equipment (infantry equipment, tanks, planes, drones, ships, etc.), Information Technology, computer parts/computers, mining, and timber. In large part in regards to types of machines/machine parts, military equipment, and computer parts/computers production is very flexible and we can change the production of certain factories to fulfill specific requests in any of the previously mentioned fields that apply. Though we will need to specify the security measures we take in order to secure our nation before a trade can begin.

Specific items of interest may be our exports of arms and medicines (among other things potentially) and in regards to imported Grindoligarch would be interested in tropical crops and textiles.

Let’s hope for a mutually beneficial relationship and for a continuation of peace and prosperity for our nations.

~Mikhail Volkov, International Representative of the Grindoligarch Administration Party

To the Hon. Mikhail Volkov,

We are pleased to have received a request for an embassy exchange from the Technocratic Unified State of Grindoligarch. On behalf of the Democratic Republic of Lunaria, we hereby recognise Grindoligarch as a sovereign state.
