Historical Summary:

Formerly a Republic founded by two brothers (as the legend goes), the Invinctan Empire expanded into Middle-West Gondwana and had what is now modern-day Crimpateia. They’re known for their strong military and rather…xenophobic practices, they’ve established themselves in the region to be as strong as the Sayqidi Sultanate,a reason why said Sultanate never bothered to go down south.

Something you have to understand is that, while officially not a Theocracy, Invinctan monarchs are head of the Veneian faith, and have been since the beginnings of the Empire. This means, not only do they have the right to rule by heritage, but they also have their divine right.

In 2022, Imperator Augustus Publius Cassius was assassinated in his Daenaria villa, leaving his only surviving child, the narcissistic and sadistic 15-year-old Veneian Priestess Bassiana Aurelia to take the Imperial throne.

Historical Summary:

Aesceria (pronounced Asheria) began as a small neolithic tribal kingdom that worshipped Venera, the Goddess of the sun and fire.

Eventually, it gained influence from surrounding tribal kingdoms, and thus, their faith spreads, and so did their power. The Aesceriae eventually found themselves to be conquering north of the Kingdom of Ashur, whom they traded with for most of antiquity.

The kingdom grew until it encompassed most of Central West Gondwana, being formally declared an Empire in 553 BCE, its first monarch being Imperator Lucretius Augustus Serverus.

The early centuries of the Empire was when it was separated from the faith of Veneism. But…that changed when in 432 CE, the eldest son of then Imperator Valerius, a High Priest by the name of the Aurelius Arianus Publius, who was head of the Veneian faith, became Imperator, beginning the tradition of having the Imperator/rix be the head of the faith.

Human sacrifice, is still practiced by the high priest and priestessse of Veneism. Why? It’s the only way to satisfy the hunger of their Gods, at least that’s what they think. And they don’t sacrifice Aescerae citizens, NO! That would be terrible! Instead, they sacrifice the children of the ethnic minorities that live in Aesceria.

Not only human sacrifice, slavery as well: The Gods never believed all humans are equal. Some can step on others and make them their servants. That’s just the Gods’ will!

Human rights were not really a thing back in ye ol’ Aesceria, and any revolt was violently suppressed. You could say that the Ascerae oligarchs NEVER learn!

Under the reign of the most recently passed Imperator, Augustus Publius Cassius, seems felt like they were starting to get better for the slaves. There were better regulations and stuff.

BUT then, in 2023, he was assassinated. Leaving his only daughter, the 15-year-old narcissistic and sadistic High Priestess Bassiana Aurelia Cassia, on the throne.
