Military specs?
There is no standing army. Gollifray is defended by the Gollifray Defenders, a citizens’ militia maintained and regulated by the government. The members go about their daily business like normal, and are only called up in emergencies such as invasion or natural disaster. Civilian vehicles are commandeered for military use if needed, and every defender is issued a standard rifle. Current membership stands at 10 million. The president is the ultimate commander of the militia, but since he is often busy with other business, the Undersecretary of Defense is responsible for minor operations and training.
A yellow alert is issued to the militia in case danger is imminent, but not actually causing harm. Militia members are advised to keep their weapons nearby and to keep their eyes and ears open, but otherwise go about their business.
A red alert indicates war has broken out, or a disaster has struck. The Gollifray Defenders are ordered to arm themselves and organize themselves immediately for defense.
As for your question on the other thread, Gollifray has a democratic republic, with a unicameral legislature.
