Grifapolooza

Grifapolooza would formally like to extend a warm hello to all those involved in the runnings of The East Pacific. I’m not entirely sure what this forum dedicated to the Nationstates role-playing does. So if anyone could enlighten me to the ways of it, it would be greatly appreciated.

As a side note this cow>>> https://groups.tapatalk-cdn.com/smilies/52127/1536592180.3635-smiley.gif?ttinline=true
is the shit.

Catch you on the flip side,

Grif of Grifapolooza.

I got distracted by Chubbs and forgot to copy my nations info.

The Borderlands of Grifapolooza is a large, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 23 million enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.

The medium-sized government is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Healthcare and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 18%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Gambling.

Young children are regularly seen wagering pocket money at blackjack tables, voting is voluntary, same-sex marriages are increasingly common, and trouser snakes are considered a delicacy. Crime is a problem. Grifapolooza’s national animal is the trouser snake, which is also the nation’s favorite main course, and its currency is the grif.

Welcome to TEP, Grifapolooza!

The gist of Nationstates RP (or at least, the way we do it) is that you write stories about your nation, its culture, characters within it, etc. If other people are interested, they might join in and write about how their nation or characters react to what happens in yours. You can also join others’ stories in the same way.

You don’t actually HAVE to write about a nation that corresponds to your in-game stats and issues, although you can if you want to. Some regions will force you to do this; We won’t. For the most part, it’s an exercise in imagination.
