GT3 season 2019

Hello to all people for Urth. We all want to welcome you to the newest raceclass with teams and drivers from all around Urth.

The inaugural season will see 37 drivers, 20 teams, 18 car brands and 6 races in 5 different countries.

The teams are racing in 2 classes namely the Factory and the Privateer class. The Factory class is for actual teams with factory backing and therefor are thought to have more money and recources as the Privateer class, For the people watching at home to the races it is made possible to know who is who. In the live timing behind the 3 letters of the driver there will be either a F or a P for one of the 2 classes. For example: ITE (F) or SAN (P)

Now, lets go to the drivers and the teams. We’re gonna do this by the order the teams will be in the pitboxes.
First up it is Laonan Shifters from Xagrurg with their driver Earl Johanson (JOH) in the Marcade-Benzene C100

From Valokchia is the next team Valokchian Pride Drivers they are the sixth team. Their drivers are Vainius Bingelis (BIN) and Juta Preidyte (PRE), they will be driving the McLaren MP4-12C
The seventh team is Bursil Kestrels from the UK Walter-James Cordon (COR) and Frank Yhumlin (YHU) will be defending the colours of this team with the Marcade SLS C100

Exoduanis from Masceola will use the Lexus RC F, their driver will be Henry Tuvanis (TUV)
From Axdel it is Montza Motorsports Club they are the third team to use the Duellini Ardito and their driver is Kyle Porchelli (POR)
The sixteenth team in the pits is Spiiker Squadron from Blueacia and they use the Spiiker C8 Aileron, Mitch Noxal (NOX) is their driver
Also from Blueacia it is the team with probably the best name, 2Fast4U Motorsport with the Porsche 911 and their drivers Steven Bleekemolen (BLE) and Gerald Fuse (FUS)
Beasts of Gondwana from Eurokraine is the next team. Their drivers are Zaza Martin (MAR) and Agu Natanza (NAT) they will be driving the Ford GT
Second to last in the boxes is MMS from Blueacia using the Maserati GranTurismo for the brothers Tim and Tom Corosnel (TIM) (TOM)
The last team is a special team. It is the only one on the grid using a private built car the Trentini 003 GT, the team is called Trentini Cars by Phelps and their drivers are Aleandro Trentini (ATR), Concordio Trentini (CTR) and Sung-Soo Pierson (PIE)

The races are held in:
Blueacia - april
East Malaysia - may
Asendavia - june
Fedele - september
Emberwood Coast - oktober
and the season will end back agian in Blueacia in november

The races will have a duration of one hour and there is a mandetory pitstop between 25 and 35 minutes in the race. Failing to stop during this 10 minutes will result in a penalty

Scoring will be as followed:
1-25
2-20
3-16
4-13
5-11
6-10
7-9
8-8
9-7
10-6
11-5
12-4
13-3
14-2
15-1
5 points wil also be awarded to the driver who stars at pole position. 4 for number 2 till 1 point for position 5
The driver with the fastest lap will also be awarded 1 extra point. (not for privateer class)
The drivers for the privateer teams will be awarded 10 points for first position, 8 for second, 6 for third, 4 for fourth, 2 for fifth and 1 for sixth
If a privateer scores points for the overall championship this wil ofcourse count for that championship, but the points from the overall championship will be multiplied by 3.
for example a privateer driver finishes first in the privateer class and in the 11th position overall and has the fastest lap. Then he scores 10+(5*3)= 25 points for the privateer class, and 5+1= 6 points for the overall class

Next week testing will take place at the circuit in East Malaysia, hope to see you there or maybe later in the season at one of the races. Lets hope this will be one spectacular and unexpected season.

Hope to see you all next race in Fedele….

Also via this way I want to tell you all that last few weeks have been really difficult for the racing community. Everyone knows racing is a dangerous sport and that death is always a possibility. Last week the Racing community lost Anthoine Hubert in a horrible way and Juan Manuel Correa is still fighting for his life. I will not share the clip of that crash out of respect. Last weekend at a different track Alexander Peroni also had a horrifying crash but walked away seemingly unscaved but later it was revealed he broke part of his back and had a concussion.

RIP Anthoine Hubert, Keep fighting JMC

Hello and welcome to a quick look over the Urth GT3 Championship’s future, this of course because we are at the halfway point of this season. and this is what we know as off this point:

In 2020 there will be a lot of changes in the GT3 Championship. To start from the beginning there will be new name. The new championship name will be the Embask GT Series. There will be 2 part championships under the new GT series. namely the:
Embask Endurance Championship
and the
Embask GT Sprint Series

Teams are allowed to join either the Endurance or the Sprint Series. But if teams want they are also allowed to join both championships.

With a new name also comes a new logo, this will be revealed at a later stage……

Now the most important new rules already confirmed:
Factory teams not allowed anymore, this to reduce costs and to interest new teams and car brands. Factory drivers are allowed to drive for a privateer team though.
More drivers per car, there will be 2 or 3 driver required per car. 2 driver are required when a car is in the Sprint Series, and 3 drivers are required when the car is in the Endurance Championship.
There will be 3 different classes, these classes will be the Pro class (this is for the cars only containing Pro drivers), the Pro-Am class (this will be for the teams with both Pro and amateur drivers in the car), and last the AM class (this is for the teams with only amateur drivers behind the wheel). Teams are allowed to have cars in multiple classes.
Max cars per team, there will be a maximum of cars per team. But we can’t tell you yet what the max is.

The organizers are also working on the calender for the new season.
It is confirmed there will be 3 races for the Endurance Championship which will take 3 to 10 hours in length, also there are 3 races for the Sprint Series which will take 1 hour.
as far as we knew for both championships there is 1 race confirmed. Blueacia will return as one off the tracks used for the Sprint Series, and there will be a 7 hour race in East Malaysia on a different track that hosted a race this year. It also is confirmed there will be a race in Staynes since Embask is the new title sponsor of the championship. But it isn’t yet confirmed if it will be in the Endurance or Sprint championship.
there is also a strong rumour going on that there will be a somewhat stand alone 12 or 24 hour race. As far as we are understood all cars in both championship would get an invite for that race, and teams are also allowed to join only that race or bring extra cars for that race. But as we said this is only a rumour thus far. And we can’t bring you anymore for that same reason on this matter.

We hope to bring you more news about the NEW championship soon….

Hello and welcome to the fourth race of the Worldwide GT3 Championship. We were supposed to have this race in Fedele, but due to political reasons that race had to be cancelled. That’s why there hasn’t been a race in a while. Now, this race will be held on the longest and most demanding circuit of this season in the streets of Aura - Emberwood Coast

Bursil Kestrels came first in the team champioship, followed by Beast of Godwana and Salovi Shifters. In fourth place we’ll find the best scoring privateer team GirlzSpeed.

This was the 2019 season of the GT3 Championship. We hope to see you next year in the new season, with the new rules. Some rules still need a bit fine-tuning but it can only become a better championship.
