Away from the hustle and bustle of the official site, 1st Princess Lily of the Valley, Adriana Mula, and her younger twin siblings Ancil and Alexandria. As the weight of this day and occasion pressed on Adriana’s mind, she began to shed tears of fear and doubt. Seeing the detrimental state that their sister was in, the twins looked at each other, forced their sister up, and pushed her towards the private balcony that they once shared with their mother.
Alexandria held her hand and began to talk in a soft and reassuring voice, “You hear that, Adi? That’s the voice of our mother and grandmother cheering you on during the most important day of your life.”
With tears still flowing, she closed her eyes and listened to the early morning waves as they crashed back and forth on the stone-laden shore. All the while, Ancil is rubbing her anxiety-filled hands.
When Adriana regains her composure, she looks at her siblings lovingly. “I couldn’t do this without you guys…” She quickly and surprisingly hooks her arms around their necks and doesn’t let them go.
“Okay! Okay! We get it! You love us!”
Adriana laughs, spins, and lets them go as they grasp for air. All jokes aside, they are her saving grace.
Within that same instant, they hear a familiar knock and voice on the other side of the door. Their first maid, Delilah Cross (who picked up the mantle of their mother), had come to collect the three of them to get prepared for the coronation ceremony.
“Your Highnesses…”
Before she could mutter another word, the three kids hugged their stand-in mother with all the compassion they could muster.
“Thanks for being there for us when we needed you the most…” Hearing that from the kids made Delilah shed tears of joy and heartfelt pride. She hugged them back for what seemed an eternity, but she knew there was still work to be done.
“Come on now, children. Today’s an important day, and you all have to prepare. Adriana to the left, twins to the right.”
They dare not test the soft and regal tone that they have come to know. As the Emerald Shield came to escort each of them to their appropriate stations, they shared one final hug, swapped their birth bracelets, and one final statement, “See you soon, sis…”
