Raina Polovski swirled a test tube into submission in her lab. How could they expect her to just cure an unknown virus immediately!? Oh well. Better get to work before the others get here.

Biologist Judy Roberts looked in her petri dish, filled with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HeLa, through a microscope. She knew nothing would happen with the virus unless it was dead, but she needed the cells to divide to generate more tissue. She was waiting for samples of the virus to arrive (with very secure protection). She needed it to come.

Fritz Heiß (Heiss), and Karl Heiß walked into the lab bickering about politics, both brothers being one of the top scientists for their respective nations (Setzna, and UIRF).

“The Crown Prinz is a better leader for Setzna Karl, you know that but you still support your damned President” Both brothers stopped bickering to greet the two other scientists already in the room, and started to get to work on their own parts of the research for a cure.

A young scientist walks in, cardigan-clad, wool tie, obviously running on little sleep, and talking to himself.

“We must set-up quarantine zones. Quarant- No. Yes! Definitely… Samples! Tissue; fluid. Live Samples! Yes, we need live samples. Subjects… test subjects. In quarantine!”

He stops and acknowledges everyone else.

"Oh… sorry.
Hobey…

Err, I mean, my name is Hobey. Hobart! But call me Hobey. Hobey McGrath! Dr. Hobey McGrath, epidemiology…

…I’m new, from Forodhar… How’s it coming!?"

Raina addressed the entire room. “Alright everybody. We should be getting out first specimen in… five hours. Is everyone ready?”

Fritz turned from his work station to reply. “Yeah, I can’t wait to see what we’re working with.”

Dr. Roberts (OOC: whom I forgot had a PHD) watched the clock nervously. Only 3 hours until they got a specimen. She took some of the tissue sample, put it in a separate petri dish, and put it in an autoclave, killing everything inside. She knew that she had to introduce some of the virus into the tissue and look through her an scanning electron microscope.

“Got a message from our supplier, 100 minutes until we get the specimen. Right on schedule.”

Both Fritz and Karl watched the clock patiently. Karl went back to working on the petri dish and taking notes.

“We’re down to sixty minutes. I’ll see to the quarantine procedures.”

Dr. Roberts held a pipette full of zombie virus. They received some from the quarantines. She dropped it in her dead tissue sample and waited.

“Fifteen minutes until the specimen arrives. Get your experiments ready.”

“The specimen quarantine cell is set. Bring 'em in!”

A dropship hovered over to the containment cell and unceremoniously dumped several zombies inside.

“Gross.”

Hobey looks grossed out, but also quite intrigued.

“Get your samples, people. The Urth is counting on us.”

Hobey McGrath steps forward.

“We need to learn how to sedate them before we can hope to even learn more about curing them. But we need to restrain one of them before we can even learn how to sedate them!”

He steps forward with a chunk of fresh cow meat and some shackles.

“I bet that froth coming from their mouths has some answers for us… Here goes nothing!”

“Oh violet, what are you doing…?”

“If I can just lure one over here…”

Dr. Roberts rolled her eyes. "I told them to take the virus, not the zombies themselves!!) She picked up a gun mounted on the gun for that exact purpose and shot the zombies.
