Hello, East Pacific! I’m the People’s Republic of Arynthia, Arynthia for roleplaying purposes, or Steve when referring to me personally. I’m not new to NationStates, per se, but my current knowledge level resembles that of a full-time noob. I love roleplaying, and the prospect of doing it with a nation adds a level of depth and realism (I assume) that I appreciate, so I can’t wait to get started up here!
I got started in roleplaying a couple of years ago after reading the Percy Jackson books. The thought of being a demigod really excited me (and made me jealous of people that didn’t exist), and creating a character of my own fulfilled that excitement. Then, one night, one of my friends was making jokes about Carl the Llama. I had NO idea who that was, so I looked it up on my phone. For whatever reason, the only result that would actually load was a page on NationStates for a nation called NationStates | Not Found. I read the description (and was very wierded out) but NationStates seemed to lack something on mobile, so I checked it out on a laptop, and it captured my attention. I made a nation called http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=display_nation/nation=Forsynth. Shortly after, I joined a region and got pretty involved in the politics (WA stuff and debates). I even gained respectable rank in the military. A fair amount of time later, I also founded http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=display_nation/nation=Decetrai. However, I did not get as involved in the roleplaying as I should have, so I got bored and went inactive. I recently rebooted both of these nations after stumbling upon this site again, as well as created two new nations, in order to get a fresh start answering issues and such. Arynthia quickly became my favorite, so I expanded upon that nation (however, my other one is mentioned in my factbook, and they are pretty much intertwined in terms of their history). No inspiration behind the name, it was just the closest name to the cool one I had originally picked that wasn’t taken. I just recently joined the World Assembly. I live in the United States, and while I do like to keep up on current events and such, my knowledge of government is not very good, and my knowledge of economics if mediocre at best, which likely is the reason that I never got involved too much in RPing here- I was afraid I’d mess up! This region seems like the best choice for me, so I went ahead and stayed once I’d been founded here, and here I am!
Once again, I can’t wait to get started here in the East Pacific!
