Article I: A Brief History of Maxtopia
Maxtopia is an ancient nation with a rich culture, having been one of the first nations ever to be founded, such that the precise date of founding is not yet known, though historians indicate that this was around November 2002. As depicted through its hieroglyphs, Maxtopia was ruled by famous monarchs such as King Maxbari IV, rumoured to have been the instigator of several conflicts against North Bigtopia, creating a deep-running divide that lasts to this day.
Maxtopia was the very first nation to pass international legislation in this body’s predecessor, via HR#1 “Fight the Axis of Evil”. The resolution helped to rid the international community of evil and belligerent nations by (somewhat ironically) encouraging war to be waged against them. Despite being eventually repealed, the resolution was the foundation for all of the subsequent resolutions in that body to build on.
Following the above, Maxtopia soon became dormant. As the days, months and eventually years went by, pleas for Maxtopia to return and deliver the international community from evil fell on deaf ears. That is, until Maxtopia finally returned one day to the international stage, motioning for the dissolution of the body-that-shall-not-be-named and thus creating the World Assembly through GA#1 “The World Assembly”. This act certainly prevented the entire world from being summarily annihilated. Having once again made a monumental contribution to the international community, Maxtopia disappeared once more, returning to isolation where it remains to this day.
Article II: Fun Facts About Maxtopia
Maxtopia is ruled by a staunch (and brave) secular government, and are consistently clashing with Violetist extremists in bloody civil wars. Their efforts to dispose of these religious terrorists should be highly lauded, even if the policy of constant martial law may be a little excessive. It is rumoured that one of the other civil wars was caused by the coup d’etat of the government by magical ponies.
Maxtopia’s military might is nothing to be snuffed at. Maxtopia military services have been vital to fighting off coups in allied nations (for a price), and they have also made advancements in the field of military technology by researching supernatural tactics. Like-minded militaristic nations looking to expand their firepower can emulate the glorious armed forces of Maxtopia.
Maxtopia is a nation known for providing enormous amounts of oil and electricity to a multitude of nations, which help to power electronics for gaming and keep people warm. While the outbreak of civil wars sometimes cause disruptions and blackouts within other nations, we shall not take this vital service for granted. Maxtopia is also known to make cheap goods and farm seafood for all, ensuring that denizens worldwide can have access to jumbo shrimp and undergarments.
In addition to the already rich culture consisting of mummified monarchs, Maxtopia is famous for its artistic accomplishments, with many famed artists and art collectors hailing from there. In addition to traditional art, Maxtopians have also dabbled in modern art, such as by creating and disseminating hilarious memes depicting national leaders in funny poses. These cultural contributions have certainly enriched many museums and online humour pages.
No nation is perfect, and thus we shall also mention the darker parts of Maxtopia, including its liberal use of the death penalty, which is contrary to the World Assembly’s position on it (established through resolutions such as “Death Penalty Ban”). Despite some rejoicing from it being used on annoying teenage pop sensations and alleged drug traffickers, Maxtopia’s use of it (especially by boiling counterfeiters to death during the Medieval times) has been widely condemned by members of the international community. Regardless, we iterate that this shall not detract from everything else Maxtopia has done, and that Maxtopia is still one of the greatest nations to ever exist.
Article III: Establishment of the International Maxtopia Day
The venerable nation of Maxtopia has long contributed to the very multiverse we stand in today. Despite currently being dormant, Maxtopia’s legacy is nothing short of impressive and should be officially recognised by the World Assembly. Thus, this document hereby declares the 13th of November to be the International Maxtopia Day. It should be celebrated annually, and nations regardless of World Assembly membership are warmly encouraged to partake in lavish celebrations with copious amounts of jumbo shrimp. The organisation of games which compare World Census statistics with other nations are also encouraged in honour of this amazing nation.
