Interregional Gymnastics Event

Today, ladies and gentlemen, Vulshain is proud to announce the start of the first Interregional Gymnastics Competition. The Interregional Gymnastics Competition will be held in the Gymnastics Grand Stadium located in the capital city of Vulshain, Kitsuniva. We have teams from all over the East Pacific Region.

It has been announced by the Ministry for Sports, Tourism, and Youth that to start off the Interregional Gymnastics Competition, a huge ceremony welcoming the athletes who will be competing here in Vulshain for the next several days.

This is Sara Suleslawa for VCNMN’s 1st Interregional Gymnastics Competitons.

The camera focuses on the gate where the aircraft carrying the Southern Yugoslavian team docked to unload them. Camera bulbs began flashing and the reporter began speaking in Lobonese as Alexsander Repita exited the gate.

"And here’s Alexsander Repita, exiting from the gate where the plane carrying the gymnastics team from Southern Yugoslavia has docked in preparation for the gymnastics event here in Kitsuniva, Vulshain. The team from Southern Yugoslavia will be facing the teams from Vekaiyu, Smigsachenweiz, and Vulshain itself, along with other nations throughout the region. The team is hopeful to bring home victories against each competitor nation, and possibly even bringing home the 1st Place trophy.

This is Selena Reschikanov with New Skopje Today, signing off."

“Hello this is Barthles Riddenstein for SRN, I’m at the front of the Gymnastics Grand Stadium in Kitsuniva, Vulshain.”

Camera shows a probably 50 years old gentleman in a light gray suit. His hair is in similar shade of gray, and his face is full of wrinkles - a standard look of Smigsachwian News casters and reporters. In the front of the Stadium there was a billboard advertising new Serenitech’s smart phone.

KITSUNIVA - The Vekaiyun Gymnastics team arrived at the Vulshain capital earlier today amidst throngs of fans from the home nation. Many cheered the athletes on, who will compete in this event then move onto Olympic competition in July. During the Fifth Summer Olympics in Outineau, Kelssek, the Vekaiyun Gymnastics team took home four silvers, but was unable to break through and earn gold for the nation.

“All things considered, this is kind of a prelude to the Olympics,” Vinsent Kis said of the games. “But with only four countries competing, it feels more like a spar to me.” The silver medalist of the Men’s Individual (Rhythmic) event last Olympics, he declined to compete in these events, electing to stay behind in Vekaiyu and continue to practice. Yamano Teleseri has taken his place during the competition.

“I wish all our athletes the best of luck in the days to come,” Premier Levinile addressed to those competing for the events. “May you be representative of our people abroad, and may the Almighty bar you from harm.” It is believed Levinile is referring to the fallen athlete Yiisu Oblervi, who died in a car accident during the Winter Games in Ashton, Krytenia, only months ago.

VCNMN’s Coverage of the East Pacific Interregional Gymnastics Competiton

This is Jena Lisametica for VCNMN. I’ll be covering the events here. Today marks a historical moment for Vulshain as this will be the first time our nation has ever hosted an interregional sporting event. It is hoped that after this event, Vulshain will consider hosting future events.

So far, four countries are competing: Southern Yugoslavia, Vekaiyu, Vulshain, and Smigsachenweiz. Despite the fact that only a small number of nations are taking part, many are still expecting a fierce competition.

This has been Jena Lisametica for VCNMN.

Alexsander Repita Brings Home the Gold

KITSUNIVA — Alexsander Repita, member of the Men’s Artistic team from Southern Yugoslavia, won the first gold medal of the event. Thousands of fans that followed the Southern Yugoslavian team cheered when he completed his performance, and were on their feet when he was awarded with the gold. This marks the first gold medal for Southern Yugoslavia in gymnastics since 2007.

Also winning a medal was Rebekka Tchaiskonov, who was awarded the bronze for Women’s artistic. She received massive amounts of cheers as she took her spot at third place.

Uverilsetrese Grabs Silver
Reporting for V3 News Services, Yamanov Sulekarenso

KITSUNIVA - Leina Uverilsetrese took home silver for Vekaiyu in the woman’s artistic routine. Her final routine of 48.800 was a strong effort, but was not enough to overcome front-running Barbro Marstk from Smigsachenweiz, who finished ahead of her by a margin of 0.225 points. “I’m proud of my score,” she commented after the event, “but I wish there were more nations who competed for this competition. I really would like to continue my training for the 2011 Summer Games.”

For the men’s artistic routine, Ehjy Uvves took bronze with a very impressive 49.700 score in the last event. “I tend to warm first,” he replied. “Actually I’m glad I came. It helps me to get warmed up for other competitions later on.”

VCNMN’s Coverage of the East Pacific Interregional Gymnastics Competiton

This is Sara Suleslawa for VCNMN. Evayan Meirain grabbed the silver in the Men’s Artistic Team event. “My only regret is that there aren’t that many nations competing. Hopefully, the Olympics this summer will prove to be a challenge to me and my fellow athletes.”

In the Women’s event, Nina Keletida missed the bronze after she nearly stumbled upon landing after doing a back flip in the air. “I guess that didn’t sit well with the judges,” Nina Keletida said. “I plan to do much better in the Summer Olympics this year.”

Vekaiyun Women Sweep Golds
Reporting for V3 News Services, Yamanov Sulekarenso

KITSUNIVA - Yesterday, Vekaiyu took golds in both events: the women’s individual and women’s team rhythmic gymnastics event. The successes began in the morning with Jesika Nislasvi of Iruk claiming gold with a score of 71.825, about 0.275 points above the silver medalist from Southern Yugoslavia. “It’s true,” she said after her routine, “we Vekaiyuns are very good at being dexterous. But I believe we’re ready to compete at the Olympics this year. It will definitely be exciting to see if we can keep up.”

In the afternoon, Vekaiyun athlete Yva Solakuv tied with Elena Comanadia of Vulshain for the gold in the Womens Team event with a score of 35.350. This marks the first time in the events that entrants have tied for a medal. Due to accepted scoring procedures, no silver medal was awarded and instead a bronze was issued to the third-place Kristal Triskinov from Southern Yugoslavia. “I only hope I can continue to bring glory to my Vekaiyun nation,” the nationalistic Solakuv said after her routine.

Vekaiyu has now amassed three golds, one silver, and two bronze through three days of competition so far.

Smigsachwian Royal News

“Not long ago our Smigsachwieolimpschguppe has gathered a gold medal in Women’s Artistic event with a brilliant show of finesse by Barbo Marstk, who gathered 191.025 points in total. Then recently we got information, of the next medals for our country, Gernot Sonson got silver in Men’s Rythmic event, with 3.100 points in total, after Vulshain’s representative - Leon Frey! Annnd here comes Gernot! Gernot! Barthles Riddenstein for SRN, would you answer a few questions?”

“Sure” said a small, dark-haired man. His red costume, with white and yellow stripes, and black details had a Serenitech logo on the back.

“How do you feel about getting a silver medal?”

“It’s great! I mean, everyone knows, that candidsapiens are more agile, yet I managed to get as far, as second place!”

“And what about Barbo?”

“I already congratulated her. Gold medal? I wasn’t even sure we will get any medals!”

“Why?”

“Smigsachwieolimpschguppe isn’t exactly well-financed. Our training is difficult because of it.”

“I thought Serenitech has been sponsoring you?”

“No, no. They give us some funding, in exchange for the ads on our costumes. If not for this, we wouldn’t have money for the trainer even!”

“Next day will be the trampoline event. Any thoughts on, who might win it?”

“In Women category? Sayli Eroni definetely. This Vekayiun fox is the favourite. Especially since Gusti Sulverschwatscheson, has sprained her ankle two days ago. Though in Men, our own Rado Brandost is getting claims of being favourite. Of course there could be heard untrue rumors, as if he took drugs. Those jealous furbags!”

“Uuuh, yes, Barthles Riddenstein for SRN, back to the studio.”

Women Take Second and Third

KITSUNIVA - The women’s individual and women’s team rhythmic won the silver and bronze medals respectively yesterday. The day started with Jesika Nislasvi of Vekaiyu winning the gold, and Southern Yugoslavia’s own Jyulia Herskiv, a New Skopje native. She fell short of winning the gold by about 0.275 points. “I felt confident about my performance, and it paid off in the end. I am disappointed about missing out on the gold, however.” She commented after the event.

The next event brought on a tie between the gymnasts from Vekaiyu and Vulshain, who were both awarded gold medals. Kristal Triskinov, who came third in the event, was awarded a bronze medal. The tying gymnasts scored 35.350, while Triskinov scored 35.125. “I know both our men and women’s gymnastics team is bringing fame to our country, and will hopefully continue to do so in later competitions.” She commented before returning to the hotel she and the rest of the team is staying in.

In all, Southern Yugoslavia has won one gold, one silver, and three bronze medals.
