Hey All! This is the intro thread for my first nation, the Commonwealth of Cormandan.
I’ve been playing Nationstates for a few months now. I found Nationstates through a forum on this website, which I just so happened to click on.
I’m from the USA, and I’m fairly interested in current affairs.
The name for my nation is actually sort of a distortion of an old fictional family name I used in a different roleplaying game- Cormandyr.
The nation of Cormandan is quite different from my fictional noble house, however- it’s your standard post apocalyptic nation recovering from a semi nuclear civil war, ruled by supreme leader mask, an enigmatic figure who always wears the gas mask and regalia of a pre war cormandian soldier in public. He uses an oppressive cult of personality to suppress his people while contracting their labor to corporations. The country is pretty isolationist and belligerent- nothing personal!
