I recently got into NationStates via some friends of mine. We started a nation and channel for our Slack server (yeah, I know) in which we voted on how to answer the game’s issues using a runoff system and one of our leaders’ penchant for fancy graphs. Eventually I got tired of waiting to vote and see the results, so I decided to make one of my own: [nation]Arkantis[/nation]. It hasn’t really found itself a niche to fall into yet, but I’m enjoying the game a lot so far. My experience at roleplaying as an entire nation/civilization as opposed to a single character is pretty low – I tried it before with the same friend group years ago and it was a bit of a mess. Gotta admit though, all those maps in the atlas forum are sexy. I might just consider giving it another try one of these days.
