How did you find NationStates? How long have you played NationStates?
I found nationstates back when I was a kid. I was probably searching for a text-based rpg, but this is a little different than what I was expecting.I’ve always found it a little difficult to get deeply involved in the game beyond responding to the daily issues, so this will be my first attempt at that.
What inspired the name of your nation?
Kulkuri in Finnish means vagabond or hobo - I used to use it as a character name for a different RPG. As the inhabitants of my nation are nomadic, I find Kulkuriara (pronounced cool-coo-ree-era) to be a pretty and suiting name. Also, that’s about the extent of what I know in Finnish. I love learning languages, and I’ve picked up bits and pieces of several, but, sadly, English is the only one I know fluently.

THE NOMADIC PEOPLES OF KULKURIARA:
This is a small, environmentally stunning nation due to the very close relationship between nature and the nomadic way of life. The major industry for these nomads is trout fishing, however a genetic dislike for fish for a significant portion of the population makes trout one of our major exports. The inhabitants of this fledgling nation are extremely shy, and curious yet suspicious of outsiders. Despite this suspicious nature, The Nomadic Peoples of Kulkuriara have taken an early interest in examining the great nations of Marpa and Mexregiona. There is intense intrigue surrounding Marpa’s mysterious Snooglebop, and Kulkuriarans marvel at the advancement of the Mexregiona civilization, which is particularly challenging to study as there are no known markers on the regional map. In fact, at this very moment, several devout Kulkuriarans are gathering their flowers and fruits, covering their bodies with mud and dancing to appease the great Eagle Spirit in hopes for a swift and safe journey for all Kulkuriaran scouts.
Despite the deeply shy nature of The Nomadic Peoples of Kulkuriara, there is a resounding desire among the peoples to contribute in a positive way in this region.
