Taking advantage of the weakening and overextended Dallacquan Empire, Asendavia made landfall in present-day Kalri, establishing the colony of Inupasenos. The area was picked for its sparse population and its location at the very edge of the Empire, allowing Asendavia to build up its military presence unnoticed. They officially declared war in 1421 (three years after the initial arrival of troops), having built up and further populated Fort Inupasenos in that time.
With the unprepared Dallacquans having to scrape together troops, the Asendavians lead a mostly bloodless march north and westward. Within a year’s time, a peace treaty was signed, setting the border roughly at the 32nd parallel north.
The colony grew and prospered in the meantime.
An opportunity for further expansion presented itself during the Second Dallacquo-Lamanwassian War. Asendavia, and by extent the colony of Inupasenos, sided with Lamanwasser during the war, conquering more territory to its north. The treaties at the end of that war more or less established the modern borders of all three nations.
Independence happens at some point (to be expanded on in the RP)
Today, Inupasenos is a developed and fairly well-off nation with a large pharmaceutical industry. With the application having been approved in the national parliament, the nation is poised to join the Aponivian Confederation later this year, alongside Veria (which will be explained in greater detail in the RP as well).
