Brief information on the Marion and Taikow Islands.
The Marion Islands are located to the north of Adumara. They lie at the crossing of the 45°N and 40°W lines. They are made up of approximately 7 islands, some of which are fully developed and some of which are atolls. They have a Csc classification according to the Köppen climate classification system. That means that winters are wet, summers are cold and the weather is temperate all year round.
The local population is small and speaks a language called Marion. They are organised as a territory of the Federal Republic of Adumara along with the Taikow Islands. Both Island chains have islands that have dormant volcanies. The islands were taken over in the Island Unification War of 1953 to 1960. Now, most of the islands have geothermal powerplants that produce power for the nation. These are heavily protected by paramilitary forces of the Federal Republic of Adumara.
The Taikow Islands lie to the east of Adumara. They are located just east of the 44°W line and just south of the 33°N line. The only island ordinarily inhabited by the native people is Toron Island. Toron Island is the largest island and has a flat terrain. It has many towns and villages. The local population speak Taikow. They were once primitive cannibals. There are 3 islands. They have an Af classification according to the Köppen climate classification system. That means they have rainforests, precipitation averages a minimum of 60mm and they can be very hot and humid.
