I, the official Secretary of Trade and Foreign Relations of the Free Land of Jurganta
hereby state:

Whereas the government of the Free Land of Jurganta wishes to enrich its treasury through international commerce:

The Free Land of Jurganta offers to her fellow The East Pacific nations the chance to solidify friendly relations through trade, and offer our export Sav-Leaf.

Description of export: Sav-Leaf

Very much like marijuana, except grown in savannah climate and in greater numbers.
Very powerful, a 180 pound male can easily receive a “high” within three minutes of smoking the leaf.
Effects of “high”
User mobility and advanced cognition highly impaired, can be described as severely dazed. Often have dreams or visions, although not vivid and do not cause distress.
Soothes user and gives them a calm, docile disposition.

There is also Purple Sav-Leaf, much more rare, valued for its purple smoke and more potent affects.

Practical uses for government:
Soothe/distract angry populace/electorate, make them easier to manipulate.

Great for businesses, as who doesn’t want to smoke some exotic drug?

Any interested nation or business please direct queries here. Jurganta can provide transportation by rail, but countries may have to come to Jurganta directly for shipment by air (no sea, we are land locked).

The Confederacy of Vulshain would be glad to open up trade between our two nations.  Unfortunately, trade of Sav-Leaf will not be allowed as Vulshain has strict laws concerning such things as marijuana and anything involving recreational drugs.  However, while we politely declined the trade of Sav-Leaf within our borders, we do however wish to seek other avenues of trade between Vulshain and Jurganta.

Since our monarch, King Samuil Rainard and his chief advisor and sister, Confederate Premier Cecilia Rainard, are currently touring the East Pacific in the hopes of improving relations between Vulshain and other countries, it might be beneficial to invite His Majesty to visit your nation.  Please note, however, there were two attempts on King Rainard’s life, one at his coronation ceremony and another when he was about to leave on his tour of the East Pacific.  We ask that you make security a high priority should you invite him to your nation.

The Grand Pacific warns the Free Land of Jurganta should they continue the solicitation of Sav-Leaf, all Jurganta-flagged vessels shall be subject to search and seizure by the Royal Cascadian Navy upon entry into BGP territorial waters. Suspected aerial shipments will be redirected under fighter escort. Open attempts to distribute Sav-Leaf in any Grand Pacific territory will be considered a clear and present danger to the State.

(edit - yes, I realize that you are landlocked, but that does not mean you cannot operate ships from friendly ports.)

We respect your laws and will keep our Sav-Leaf away from your borders.

We do realize however that in making this advertisement, we make it known that the desirable Sav-Leaf is grown within our own borders. We remind you that our border protection is not very strict, and that smuggled Sav-Leaf, if it found a way to your shores, would not be supported by the Jurganta government but would be the devious work of smugglers.

So far smuggling has not been an internal problem, and we hope foreign governments help us insure that their citizens will not begin smuggling Sav-Leaf from our borders.

Raedion-Lucari admits it finds a possible economic benefit to importing and selling Sav-Leaf to our citizens, but unfortunately our trade is done through sea vessels only - air traffic over our islands is strictly limited to our military patrol patterns.

New Nabbers is interested in Sav-Leaf, as it may be useful to calm an increasingly agitated populace, and could generate money for the government as a taxable import.

As an island nation we would also be receptive to negotiations on transporting Sav-Leaf by sea to other nations.

Perhaps private New Nabbers’ shipping companies could bid on becoming the official sea transport of all Jurganta Sav-Leaf?

The Republic of Stromburg welcomes better economic cooperation and trade ties with Jurganta but the law prohibited the sales of recreational drug and banned Sav-leaf from comercial trade. However, import of Sav-leaf will be strictly only for research purposes. Still, we will like to seek better bilateral ties with the Free Land of Jurganta

Please contact our Director to plan negotiations for the Sav-Leaf product. The market for cannibis related drugs in Allegheny has yet to be tapped due to our inability to properly grow the drug here in our own soil. Allegheny is one of the few nations without recreational drug restrictions.

Your company will be buying directly from the government, who will in turn be buying directly from the best Jurganta Sav-Leaf planters.

We will ship by crates, which will be loaded onto trains south to the border of Smigsachenweiz. We would suggest you pick it up at that border, and load it into planes to Allegheny.

We hope Smigsachenweiz will allow this without taxing the Sav-Leaf and driving up prices, and would be even happier if Smigsachenweiz allowed us to construct rail to her nearest airport.

Airports in Jurganta are not large enough to handle export of goods.

I was quite happy to receive your recent telegram, regarding the establishment of trade relations, and I hope that our two nations can establish a friendly and mutually beneficial relationship.

Regarding the “Sav-Leaf,” the Free Pacifican Federal Drug Administration decided today to temporarily deem Sav-Leaf and Purple Sav-Leaf as “restricted substances,” given the “potentially dangerous effects of the substances.” Per that decision, Jurgantan businesses can export Sav-Leaf and Purple Sav-Leaf to the Federated Alliance, and can sell both substances to adults in the Federated Alliance. But as restricted substances, Sav-Leaf and Purple Sav-Leaf cannot be sold in the Federated Alliance to individuals under age 18, and all a tax of 2.5% is imposed on all sales of these substances within Free Pacifican borders. The Federal Drug Administration did only temporarily deem Sav-Leaf and Pruple Sav-Leaf as “restricted substances,” and pledged to reconsider its decision following a one-year study to be undertaken once the Federal Drug Administration can obtain a significant amount of Sav-Leaf and Purple Sav-Leaf. Please feel free to direct any inquiries on this matter to my office.

Putting aside that specific trade matter, I’d like to formally congratulate you on opening your borders, and offer to formally establish diplomatic relations between our nations. Generally, the Federated Alliance swaps embassies with nations with whom it maintains trade relations, and my government would be very happy to do so with Jurganta, if your government is interested. A short profile:

Celestial Shipping is a modern, reliable shipping company, in the spirit of New Nabbers.

As an island nation, we have a long history of seafaring, and our earliest voyagers always looked to the stars for guidance and navigation, and it is from this sacred heritage that Celestial Shipping gets its name.

Now of course we have GPS instead of the stars, are infinitely reliable, and our ships are defended well against any piracy.

A problem however, if you look at the map New Nabbers and Raedion-Lucari are on opposite sides of the continent (don’t see a name). We would propose our shipments would go north and around the north tip of the continent to get to Raedion-Lucari. However this is along way to go for one shipment, especially since as of yet we aren’t bring anything back.

since Sav-Leaf may not be acceptable in these nations, we also would like to provide Celestial Shipping with beer from Jurganta. Beer is a fledgling industry in Jurganta, with most of the local populace passing it over for Sav-Leaf. However, in other nations they may find our beer most desirable, and it would help improve our economy.

Celestial Shipping will load up the ships with the Sav-Leaf and beer, and stop along those nations on the way. If they turn us back so be it, then we will simply proceed to Raedion-Lucari. Hopefully though they will open their ports in the spirit of free trade, and Celestial Shipping and Jurganta and flourish.

We would also be willing to load any goods from the nations we drop Sav-Leaf and beer into, and could establish a large trade across the said nations that would benefit all.

Raedion-Lucari has always had its ports open in the spirit of free trade - we are run by corporations, after all!

Also, we have a variety of things up for trade, since we import almost as much as we export. Our own nation’s export though is seafood, mainly of the crustacean variety.
