BREAKING: KING GUSTAS IV REMOVED BY PARLIAMENT, MONARCHY ABOLISHED
The United Council of the Kaskadan Federation just announced that Parliament has voted to remove King Gustas IV from power. This comes after the king was found to have been funding terrorist organizations in Korćetta. King Gustas IV had denied any attempt at an interview and stayed silent on the matter until this decision. The king made a statement after the vote had been announced by Parliament, stating, “I accept these consequences of my actions; I will not be fighting this decision.”
Alongside this, the United Council announced that another vote had been held to amend the constitution. This vote passed by a wide majority and officially abolished the Kaskadan monarchy. When asked for statements, the United Council stated, “A monarch holds too much power for our modern society; we have no need for a figure like this.”
Most staunch monarchists, including the monarcho-socialists, were outraged by this decision. One citizen stated, “The monarch is a figure for the people to look to in a time of need; without that, who is going to inspire this country?” Most citizens of the Kaskadan Federation welcomed the change, with one saying on social media, “Good riddance.”
