Historical Summary: Katyunon was a region in Novaris. In it were 4 nations: Katystan, Trudatsya, Kyravnia and Alasemo. Each country had specialised in certain fields of production. Alasemo, governed and populated by mostly humans, was a highly agrarian state, Kyravnia was home to large mining pits operated by Pivnich Dwarves who migrated from Western Novaris, Trudatsya, founded by Ursine Converts originating from Yasteria brought to fruition by the expansive reach of Asendavia, was centered around heavy Industries like steel, engineering and armaments and Feline-Populated Katystan was known for a highly renowned textiles industry. These nations were not self-sufficient and heavily relied on each other and so cooperated closely. These nations were all ruled by either corrupt liberal democracies or dictatorial feudal monarchies, ordinary people had no say in the matters of government.
Then the Great War began and the whole region of Katyunon was plunged into war. The four nations joined the Pacific Coalition, taking part in the Novari theatre against Tretrid. The nations sacrificed hundreds of thousands of people in the war and the region was devastated. Soldiers promised a land fit for heroes returned to poverty and neglect. Many working class citizens became alienated and disillusioned with the political system who cared so little for those who fought under it, and turned to the radicals for hope. A revolution began in Katystan, which would change the fate of the four nations of Katyunon. The revolution succeeded with support from the army and workers in the other nation took up arms against their governments. A revolutionary capital was set up in Katystans capital, now renamed Katyunite, to organise the regional revolution. After the dust had settled all four nations’ revolutions had succeeded and the leaders of each revolution met in Katyunite. Each nation had such close reliance on the others that it made sense to stand united to better provide for the people of the region. A treaty was signed and The United Socialist States of Katyunon was born. A federation of four nations and peoples united together in solidarity.
