Let's solidify the species of Urth

It’s been talked about in discord but let’s make sure we get everything documented for our official thread. We’ve established the Urth will only have a set amount of species for new players to pick when creating their nation and we have a couple some restricted ones also.

The two restricted one I know of are Peregrin and Nekomimi. For Peregrin they’re only in East Malaysia and Tiviot. I have no future plans to allow any future nations to have a population unless you can sell it to me. The Nekomimi are considered a native Urth species that is endangered with a 150 million in population with 25% of them located in Infinite Loop. Everyone can have some sort of Nekomimi population but for a entire nation that would require a compelling argument.

Human, Vulpine (fox people), Feline (cat people that evolved like apes are to Human)… And go!

I’m on mobile and don’t feel like searching around but we need a master list.

Lutrynes (or otter people)

The Lutra sapiens is a species of anthropomorphic humanoids with many recognizable otter-like features and characteristics. Larger than their more primitive counterparts, lutrynes in general have similar fur markings, with brown, black, and white patterns being the most prominent. Their bodies consist of a larger brain capable of more precise and faster execution, when compared to their quadripedal counterpart. The lutryne body is considered rather thin and sleek, a result of their aquatic-based ancestry. Many lutrynes inhabit the nation of Lapimuhyo and exist as a minority in other Gondwanan nations, including neighboring Rijelv and nearby Ivlya. The race is regarded as generally fast and agile in aquatic environments, with their species typically maintaining a relatively thin layer of fat and a very dense layer of fur. Outside of the water, the lutryne body underperforms, yet still retains its ability to stand upright, walk, and run, among other things. Maintaining an average height of around 5 feet, and weighing in around 120 pounds, Lutrynes are relatively small compared to humans. Lutryne body proportions are almost identical to human proportions by a scale of 3:4. The senses of the species are, for the most part, superior to humans, with the exception being hearing, which was evolutionarily less important than sight and smell.

Does anyone use this species? I think this one was talked about being eliminated.

Lupines (wolf people)! I’m not sure if Volkia’s the only lupine majority nation, but I know there’s a handful of other nations with sizable lupine populations.

Aurians (Snake people)

So far, only Balistria and Astrania both have aurian populations. Also, should we include detailed entries on our species or just list the species?

Some detailed information might be helpful to new players. We can figure out where you would need to be on the map to have certain species.

As far as I’m aware, it’s primarily my countries of Rijelv, New Malavia, and Lapimuhyo as well as Ivlya that have Lutryne populations.

death to lutrynes

death to snek people

So this is what the finalized list is currently looking like

Aurians (snake people)
Feline (cat people that evolved like apes are to Human)
Human species group:

  • Humans

  • Elves

  • Nekomimi (human with cat features)*

  • Hybrid (mixed with Peregrin)*

Lupines (wolf people)
Lutrynes (otter people)
Peregrin (from space people)*

  • Hybrid (mixed with humans)

Ursines (Bear people)
Vulpine (fox people)

*Restricted use

Ursines (Bear people)

As of right now, Asendavia and Valokchia are the only definitive nations with an Ursine population, although the owner of the Socialist expressed interest in having a population of them, so maybe 3 nations as of now. I think on Hama’s NSWiki page it mentions that they have some Ursines too, but I’m not certain on that.

Also, here’s the NSWiki page with some info on 'em.

Honest answer: no idea. Population numbers are that of old TEP Evolved. It’s in the billions. 90-150 million is you want a guess.

This topic is now closed. The mentioned species in this post Let's solidify the species of Urth - The East Pacific - Tapatalk are now officially the species of Urth. A detailed post / NSWiki page is coming with species details.
