Air Shows are a great way to show patrotism!

Look out fans! The Commerce Federation Armed Forces (CFAF) shows off its TEP pride today at a baseball game in Detroit, E. In addition, TEP merchandise at most retail outlets are on sale!

Long live TEP! Long live caek!

In a rousing display of regional patriotism, Stratarin held its largest airshow to date today.

Late in the night, Mr. Jericho, as he was called, whistled through his chiseled teeth.
He loved holidays even more than he loved Koors.
Yep, livin’ the true Mexrerjunan way!
No air shows tonight, no, no, just beer. Lots of it.

Prime Minister Tom Ford got up from his office desk and walked towards the window. He looked out at the night sky, the city skylines, viewing the occasional fireworks and jet flyovers. He thought to himself:
What a beautiful nation I have helped to create.
He then proceeded to whip out his mobile phone and search up: “What happened in The East Pacific in 2008?”
He read carefully for a few minutes, then slowly looked up and said:
“Oh”

In preparation for Liberation Day, the Vekaiyun Armed Forces, under the direction of Premier Ikrisia Levinile, hosted a small military parade celebrating the liberation of The East Pacific. In attendance were some of the more high-ranking Vekaiyun Military and Governmental Officers.

Kral Commodore Yamano Nevikalu diverted his attention from the straight lines formed by marching servicemen and women in the Vekaiyun Army in full military dress to speak to the Premier, who watched while keeping herself in salute - the more formal style, with one hand balled in a fist and the other gripping said fist.

“Are we planing on moving with Biyombo early this year?” The human commodore asked.

Ikrisia didn’t turn to him, opting to watch as tanks appeared on the horizon down the main avenue. “Moving? We already occupy it. If the Elephenes do not wish to hand over the territory in return for recognition and trade, we can always utilize other avenues.”

Nevikalu grimaced. “Other avenues?” He opted for a more updated salute with two fingers of his right hand tilted at his brow.

“Yes. The world is divided now, Nevikalu. This year we will play the part of a unifier. The world is craving such a mantra, I believe, especially after the unsettling peace that is most certainly not going to last, much to my chagrin.”

“Just let me know of your ideas and I’ll do my best to accommodate.”

“Oh, you will know soon enough.”

The door slapped shut, letting in a brief sigh of humidity and hot air after the cat that did not, in fact, want to be let out. Liberation Day was in full swing. Lily had gotten the day off, and was relaxing with Poombah (the asshole cat). The TV narrated the various patriotic events occurring around Emberwood Coast, from flyovers to parades. Whatever, anything to get a day off school.

She laid back down on the couch after the cat got back in and flicked through the channels on TV. Nothing was really on, so she sighed to no one in particular, turned it off and padded over to the windows to watch the few clouds there were drift by. Heat fell in drifting sheets, like a warped window laid over the skyline of Aura visible through her window. She noticed a bush shake and her eyes flitted to her backyard. She saw… a tail?

Lily slid open the glass door to the patio and wandered out onto the sun-cracked concrete. Her feet ached from the heat of the concrete.
And looking back at her was a very hungry looking baby fox. She couldn’t be more than one year old… My dads are gonna kill me.
She slid the glass door back open and stood aside so the fox could come in. Once inside, the fox stretched out and looked up gratefully at Lily. After a bowl of leftover food, she looked to be in downright bliss. The fox curled up next to the eternally indifferent Poombah, and Lily realized the fox needed a name. After all, Papi and Dadi need to know what to call you when they kick us out. Lily thought about it for a while, and settled on Athena. It seemed to fit.
