Historical Summary: Originally, the islands that now constitute Limbo were originally populated by small groups of cava, most of the population being concentrated in the northern half of the Ramadrib Island.
In the late XVIII-th century, separate groups of explorers sailed all the way to the archipelago, in hopes of reaching the southern pole. They were greeted by the native people of the islands before continuing their journey. On their returned to their nations, they revealed their findings and therefore caused a wave of migration towards there. With this came the formation of newer settlements, such as Corr, Limbville, Lionning, Matrolinsk, Orpheus and Preston.
Nonetheless, the islands experienced a population boom due to migration, to the point that the residents, both native and non-native, decided to form a new state encompassing the archipelago, through the signing of the Treaty of Abaksi in 1910.
Since it’s formation, the Limboese Republic relied economically on farming, fishing and mining, which later on proved disastrous in the 1980s, as external demand for coal and steel from the nation plummeted. After that, the government took measures to diversify the market since then.
