Located on the far outskirts of Ye’leli, Liyessi Magnet School is a high school used for advanced learning from across the realm of TEP. High school students from all around have applied to this new school, which has been compared to the likes of “a well-run Vekaiyun school with a twist.”

Students are selected on a basis of test scores, interviews, athletics, and a plethora of other areas of learning, from the arts to to complex mathematical theories. From this grueling process, the students selected are given passport to Listonia and are housed in dorms directly connected to the high school for security purposes. Other areas of the school, such as an indoor greenhouse, a fully-functional olympic pool, a movie theater, and an outdoor hiking area, are present as well. Cost is not an issue - Listonia tends to charge the nation, not the student, for their services.

The school itself is a 2,750-student paradise, with an average of 15.1 students per teacher ratio. Despite being formed in less than three months, many believe this institution has the potential to become the best learning environment within the region. Clearly, this was built with the students in mind.

((OOC: just add a student, and viola!))

Her arrival from Provinsk was less than smooth. All the background checks, the various testings and procedures, just to get back into her home nation. Being a true Listonian was something her other classmates back in Provinsk respected. After all, Vekaiyun children were always taught Listonia and Vekaiyu were meant to be indivisible, so the fact that Listonia was fighting for independence made her that much special. Boys actually paid attention to her. Families, even professors, offered her money to take home to her parents so ‘their money would get into the right hands’. She was given the most practice time at sports - from swimming to running, even if she wasn’t really good at either of them. She hated to admit it, but she liked the attention.

Now Vesinia Lagowsa was just a regular vixen of fifteen. Listonian in Listonia. Nothing really special about that.

Her parents practically forced her to go anyway. She didn’t get the hype centered around Listonia. She hadn’t made up her mind if Stapen Evesuni was really ‘the savior of the Listonian people’ or not, no matter how much her parents and her family told her otherwise. ‘No Vesinia, you are a Listonian, and you are proud to see your nation free!’ But what nation? The only nation she knew prior to the independence was Sevropia. And she was too young to remember how they ran things. And why be proud? Evesuni killed just as much if not more than the other two leaders during the war for independence.

On the whole, it didn’t look too far off from Vekaiyu. After all, Vekaiyun military escorted her to her school, a Vekaiyun professor directed her to her dormroom, Unonian was spoken all around, the Vekaiyun language. Only thing a little different was how much construction was going around across the capital; so many new buildings seemed to dot the horizon. And there was an increased presence of gypsies. She… didn’t really get why she should be proud of them either. After all, they didn’t do much in society. Didn’t own property, didn’t pay taxes, etc. ‘The gypsy fiddle is what sets your soul free!’ She sucked at the violin. So much for that.

But her grades were good enough. All she really did was study. But why? What did she want to be when she grew up? Almighty knows. Perhaps that’s the beauty of taking so many classes - she can obtain more of a flavor for what is out there. Studying made her head hurt, though. And got her less noticed in class. That’s right, she’s just a Listonian now. No strings attached. Nothing else to see here, just keep moving along. But at least it was peaceful. The Stapen K. Evesuni Education Gardens in the center of the school was very serene. Enough for her to release the grip on her books and set them at her side.

“And so begins another school year.”

Armed with a long-winded physics book, Vesinia set the text down and paused to gaze out of the window. “Weird,” she remarked, “it’s snowing. At least it’s trying to snow.” She suddenly bit her lip and looked around, remembering she was in a sitting area of the library. But, alas, not too many people were around in the evening - most were probably eating dinner. But, she was used to the Vekaiyun way of eating, which consisted of breakfast, a strong lunch, and a light dinner, so nothing would be lost if she skipped a meal. After all, she was a little behind her studies, spending most of her time understanding and studying Listonian society.

She was well-aware Listonia was planning to launch their first satellite into space, beginning the space program in the resurgent state, but she didn’t quite know what to think of it. For one, the nation had somehow exploded in regards to their financial prowess - reminding her of the elasticity of the Vekaiyun economy. Of course, being elastic, it had to snap back from time to time, but Listonia’s only seemed to stretch without bounds. But what did she know - her interests were elsewhere - something in the realm of science; she hadn’t picked one yet for sure.
