So you might remember my LOA from January / February, when I lost my main source of income. I found temporary solutions, but they were kinda like (metaphor) trying to fix a house hit by a tornado, when your equipment is tape and zip ties. The project didn’t work out. I didn’t accept a really good offer (in terms of finances and career growth), cos I dumbly decided to be loyal to my company and my team. Tl;dr, apparently it is one sided relationship. 2 weeks ago the company broke a financial promise to me and today I experienced the worst case of mobbing yet. So I made a phone call which I might or might not regret later on. And as of now, I have to focus all my resources on either landing a new job or going full-in with freelancing (wish me luck, I hope for the latter).
Good luck with your future endeavours, Serge. The journey ahead is uncertain and will be arduous, but I know you are resilient and capable enough to face far worse. I hope this next chapter brings you steadier ground, kinder people, and the success, rest, and opportunities you deserve!
As a wonderful singer once told me, “whatever path you follow, that will be your path and it will be okay”. Best of lucks in this path and in any that may arise
If there is one piece of career advice I wish everyone would get when getting off the schoolyard, it’s this. It’s a job. It’s business. The company is not your family or your friend.
It’ll work out Serge, I wish you the best of luck, and hope to see you on better grounds soon!
