Movie Rentals (Taking Suggestions)

I recently rented and watched two movies some weeks ago: Boondock Saints II (which was alright…could of been a whole lot better; had some ridiculous imaginary and characters). Also, I watched Paranormal Activity, which was utter garbage.

I was looking for suggestions (for the time when I don’t have to worry about studying).

I was thinking of renting Sunshine, Transformers II, The Men Who Stare at Goats, Inglorious Bastards, and some others. Anyone have any suggestions? I usually rent from Redbox, you only have to pay $1.07 per night, which is a pretty sick deal.

If you haven’t seen Inglorious bastards or the men who stare a goats. do so. They are good. IMO transformers was the shitiest piece of shit i have ever seen in my life.

Capitalism

Men who stare at goats

Hangover

Inglorious Basterds

The Spirit

The Blind Side

(Weird that you pay an extra 7 cents for Red Box https://groups.tapatalk-cdn.com/smilies/52127/1536592180.1703-smiley.gif?ttinline=true
)

Sales tax in Florida = 0.07% or 0.075% depending on where I am at when I rent them.

I just like Transformers, the last two times I come back to Orlando I always hear a repeat of one of my favorite Orlando radio stations (104.1), which talks about how racist Transformers II is. I actually saw half of Transformers II off youtube b/c it was raped by all of the companies claiming copyrights (Watching youtube is like watching TV when you see certain channels b/c of commercials).

I heard the Spirit was crap, but that was also one I kind of wanted to see.

Thanks for the suggestions.

That makes it funnier to me. We don’t have a sales tax in Oregon, but Idaho has a 6% tax. I’ve done Red Box twice over there, and have never been charged the tax.

I might be Washington way in the coming weeks. I’ll test it out up there. I know many businesses there will exclude the 8% sales tax if you show you’re an Oregon citizen.

Huh…I didn’t realize some states has no tax (my brain has a fuzzy recall there are a one or two).

Only thing I don’t like about RedBox is you only have until 9pm to return regardless of when you rent it. I returned one at 10:00 pm and had to pay double…that’s what I get for going out for beer with an old friend.

Anymore suggestions?

Also, what’s the Blind Side about?

I haven’t seen any of the movies in your first post except for Inglorious Basterds. That one actually disappointed me, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Gomorrah’s a great movie. I highly recommend it.

Go rent Transformers II at your own perril. I actually bought it (SHOCK HORROR!!! https://groups.tapatalk-cdn.com/smilies/52127/1536592186.1436-smiley.gif?ttinline=true
) and I am spending more time playing with the exclusive Transforming toy that came with it over watching the damn movie itself.

Rent Midnight Meat Train: that’s one heck of a gore fest and not for the squeamish.
