Hello Magisters. I am here today to discuss my nomination of @Dremaur for Arbiter. When Dremaur contacted me about his interest in being an Arbiter, I immediately knew he would be a great choice. From his time as Provost to now as EPSA Admiral and Grand Vizier, he has plenty of experience with the TEP government. Dremaur is also very active and dependable. I know that they will give this position their all, and I am excited to help with this next step in their TEP career. I hereby nominate Dremaur for Arbiter.
I genuinely believe Dremaur would be an excellent candidate for Arbitership.
That being said, as mentioned, he currently holds dual-roles as EPSA Admiral & Grand Vizier.
So this question goes to Dremaur, do you intend to remain in your roles as EPSA Admiral and Grand Vizier if confirmed as an Arbiter?
How would you see to the functions of the Praesidium and your duties as an Arbiter should they conflict (as in the case of a criminal trial being prosecuted by the Praesidium etc)
I intend to hold the roles as long as the powers that be see it fit. I feel I’ve done a great job in both roles so far and expect to do if confirmed as Arbiter. And of course I would not stand in the way of a new GV being picked if the Viziers feel that best. Same goes with Admiral. I am eternally a humble servant of TEP
As for conflicts of interest I would recuse myself from prosecution or the court as the case calls for it.
Drem, do you forsee you have enough time for 3 big roles?
Yes, but I do intend to pass the baton on Admiral eventually after my work is done with it. As for being GV and an Arbiter I feel very confident in my ability to exceed in both roles.
thumbs up
My only issue with nominating Drem to the Conclave is that we’ll lose a wonderful Deputy Provost, as the only Magisterial duties an Arbiter can perform is (as far as I’m aware) submitting legislation.
While I’m fine with either outcome, I find myself undecided on this nomination as Drem has been a valuable help to the rest of us Deputies, and even to our own Provost.
I can still give advice and mentorship to provost, but it would this time be in an unofficial capacity. As for submitting legislation I still have some plans I will propose, even as Arbiter. Thank you for your kind words
