Hello Magisterium, I would like to nominate @brethereth to the Praesidium. Breth has been a part of TEP for around 6 years at this point, being an integral member of the RMB. They have held multiple RAO positions as both RMB Ambassador and RMB Moderator. Breth was brought up to me by the Praesidium and they were willing to take the position. Because of this, I nominate @brethereth as a Vizier.

Brethren is wonderful and before anyone says they haven’t heard of them, let me tell you my story with them: I have known Breth since 2019. They’ve always had cooler worldbuilding than me but, since late 2020 or early 2021 I have had the pleasure of being their crackpot northern neighbor in Valsora. As RMB Ambassador, they were a strong representative of RMB interests and rights. As an RMB Mod, they have a sense of community health. And as a person, they are very compassionate. I vouch for them.
Their brief time in the Phoenix Flock Fleet gives them, I think, a basic understanding of how R/D works, and a basic understanding is all one needs, but I have the same question for them: Are you prepared to learn on the job? There’s FA complexities and regional structures that you’ll need to learn, not to mention maintaining a high endorsement count. Are you prepared to learn all that with a short turnaround?

I’ve only met Breth more properly now at RMB moderation and they’re a wonderful and very reasonable TEPer, who provides deep insights to the discussions we’ve had. A perfect fit for a Vizier candidate, if you ask me
Right now, no, I’m not prepared. I will not be prepared until September, because my sibling is getting married at the end of August and we’re all in Headless Chicken Mode. We will not, as a family, exit Headless Chicken Mode until after the wedding; I will not be reliably online, because chickens are bad at using the Internet.
I could, however, use this time to read up on the TEP government’s arcana at a slower pace.

Things move slow in the Praesidium — I’m sure there won’t be a significant threat to the region until after the wedding. Congratulations to your sibling and their partner, and I hope you enjoy the ceremony and festivities. Come September, as long as you’re prepared for your training montage, that’s all I care about.

Well, I might be “The Great Congregation of Brethren” on the RMB, and the RMB community might be extremely important to me. It might have been that way for quite a few years, even – for reasons such as “letting doofus misfit kids find community” and “enabling people to grow as writers and worldbuilders” and even “being really fun most of the time.” I might be deeply grateful to TEP for doing and being all those things for me, when I needed them. I might go so far as to say that this community is the reason I still write at all.
Then again, I might be saying all this to distract you from the fact that I am SECRETLY A RACCOON.
