Hello Magisterium, I am here today to nominate @Spartan6772 as a Vizier. Kurikia is a prominent figure in the RMB and Valsora. They have been a part of our region for about 6 years now and has been an active voice in promoting RMB visibility and making sure the RMB is heard on all issues. I am hoping that with this nomination we can have a cruicial RMB voice in the Praesidium.
What GP experience does Kurikia have?
Also, as the Praesidium was not contacted about this nomination, could you elaborate on your reasoning on how he’d do a good job in protecting our region from external and internal threats to democracy and stability?
I agree with Aiv on this one, the Delegate should at least let the Prae know that they’re gonna nominate someone… additionally, I’ve never heard of, and by proxy met or interacted with, this person in all my time in NS. As such, I don’t really see how I can support this…
While I do agree having the RMBers have a voice in government is a good idea,I also don’t see how the Praesidium is a good place, considering Prae’s main concern is regional security (from what I recall).
I’ll speak to the latter piece – Kurikia is a prominent RMB RPer who I know well and trust. He has been a citizen, an Urth RPer, and I believe a candidate for Delegate once before, and has voted in a few elections. I believe he is a hard-working, loyal TEPer who I would love to see as a Magister or Minister, but I’m hesitant here solely on the topic of gameplay experience, since I believe it is crucial to identifying and mitigating security risks.
I think RMB voices are important, but we have open forums for that and I currently am an RMB Vizier – but one who has the experience needed to accomplish my duties effectively. I worry that thrusting Kurikia into the deep end with no experience on GCR security is unfair to him as well.
I know Kurikia from my brief time in Cafe and have a good impression of him, but similar to Aiv would like to know if Kuri is ready to achieve an additional ~250 endorsements and learn how the GP side of NS works. I’m happy to teach.
After further discussion/research I have decided to table this discussion.
