Northern Shield Treaty Organization
Motto: “For the People, Never Against the People”
The North Shield Treaty Organization also called the Northern Concordian Alliance, is an intergovernmental military alliance between 10 Concordian, Novaris, Yasteria, and Aurora countries. The organization implements the North Concordian Alliance that was signed on November 22nd, 1991. NSTO constitutes a system of collective defense whereby its independent member states agree to mutual defense in response to an attack by any external party. NSTO’s Headquarters are located in Pollok, Nacata, while the headquarters of Allied Command Operations is near Winterview, Latianburg.
Since its founding, the admission of new member states has increased the alliance from the original 5 countries to 10. The most recent member state to be added to NSTO is Duelland on January 1st, 2019. In addition, the NSTO works closely with the great Morstaybishlia and her commonwealths in the joint task mission in the Aurora region, with several other countries involved in minor pacts or Scientific programs.

Greetings Eastern Alksearia,
It is a pleasure to be able to have your request to join the Northern Shield Treaty Organization, NSTO constitutes a system of collective defense whereby its independent member states agree to mutual defense in response to an attack by any external party.
NSTO’s “Freedom policy” is based on Article 7 of the Alliance’s founding document the Treaty states that NSTO membership is open to any “any state in a position to further the principles of this Treaty and to contribute to the security of Urth”. It states that any decision on enlargement must be made “by unanimous agreement”. NSTO enlargement has helped increase stability and prosperity around the globe. It is aimed at promoting stability and cooperation, and at building a Urth united in peace, democracy, and common values.
You have been accepted into the Northern Action Plan, a program that helps nations prepare for future membership. To join the Alliance, nations are expected to respect the values of the Northern Shield Treaty, and to meet certain political, economic and military criteria, set out in the Alliance’s guidelines. These criteria include a functioning democratic political system based on a market economy; fair treatment of minority populations; a commitment to resolve conflicts peacefully; an ability and willingness to make a military contribution to NSTO operations; and a commitment to democratic civil-military relations and institutions.
We Believe Alyunthian is more than ready to be folded into the alliance and we hope to see you at the next NSTO meeting this year, as the 11th Official member of the Northern Shield Treaty Organization. God Bless Eastern Alksearia & God Bless The NSTO!

We would like to make your situation perfectly aware and protest at the rather abhorrent action of inviting the Alyunthian regime to your international organisation, as this clearly goes -against- your principles of freedom and promoting democracy, by endorsing this radical feminist state you are indirectly promoting their disgusting views of gender inequality and promoting a tyrannical female monarchist regime.
We don’t pretend that here within the Confederacy that we’re a democracy, far from it, however we do not seek membership within the NTSO, while we’d like to have good relations with this international organisation, this promotion of a radical feminist regime is ludicrous, we strongly advise you reconsider your actions of attempting membership with this radical feminist regime.
From this you’d be promoting gender inequality, tyrannical regimes, and clearly anti democratic and perhaps to some extent anti capitalist policies.
We hope to hear back from you and we’d also like to exchange embassies to discuss this matter further, whether openly or privately, this issue -MUST- be addressed.

The Northern Shield Treaty Organization is committed to the well being and protection of all citizens of Urth, each day across the globe we continue to build a bond with nations while also helping our own members grow more democratic. The nation of Alyunthian while flawed has shown many democratic values that other nations have started to take heed of and watch closely, we appreciate your concern about the current situation and will like to tell you that we have already sat down and discussed how the nation will continue to implement democratic values in its daily life going forward under the Membership Action Plan which is a step towards Full membership under a 6-month program. Alyunthian is also working closely with several NSTO members most notably Kuthernburg and Nacata both of whom have successfully worked with the Matriach over the past year to implement many programs to help with prepping for Membership, we will allow for Rufuian ambassador to the NSTO be permitted and an embassy office will be set up in the NSTO HQ in Pollok, Nacata.
