Oanaid Ltd.

"Firstly, thank you for visiting our website and welcome to Oanaid Ltd.

Let me introduce what our foundation is all about and how it started. The Oan government strongly believed that people deserved chances in life that were often denied to them because of circumstances that were beyond their control. Our government decided to reach out to less well-off nations and assist where it can…"

What do we do?

Oanaid Ltd. funds projects in less developed countries or less affluent communities that help empower those people. We aim to:

[ul][li]Fund medical services and treatment for people who do not have access to them.
[li]Fund educational programs or provide opportunities for dedicated, talented and hardworking students to access schools, material and other resources.
[li]Fund programs which attempt to preserve and protect wildlife and ecosystems and the programs that attempt to bring awareness of the challenges these environments are having.
[li]Fund programs which empower the youth, minorities, the disabled, women and the elderly.
[li]Fund programs which provide relief , safety and comfort to people who have been devastated by war and natural disasters and provide assistance for those people to recover.
[li]We fund many more worthy projects than these, yet we wanted to give a taste of what we offer.[/li][/ul]

How were we founded?

We are a completely brand new organisation or entity. In fact we were founded only recently, in March 2017, when the Oan government wanted to use a single entity to streamline our foreign aid program that was easily accessible to volunteers, donors and charitable causes. We were incorporated in terms of the Company Act.

How are we run?

We are run by a Board of Directors comprised of the Managing Directors of the divisions and departments of the Oanaid Ltd. and presided over by a Chairman of the Board. The President is a non executive post, who merely oversees the operations of Oanaid and reports on them to the National Council. The Chief Executive Officer is the leader of the organisation, and is responsible for the daily operations and administration of the entity. The Member of the National Council for the Home and Social Development appoints them with the approval of the NC.

How do we work?

We exist to streamline the Oan government’s foreign aid objectives and execute them. We provide funds, collect funds, give volunteers, donors and people who need help, access to charities and programs, provide administrative support and data. We evaluate applications and provide support if we find merit.

Application for Assistance

Name of entity: Furnifold Works Institute

Work you do: Provide employment opportunities for citizens of Furnifold.

Help you need: Assistance with job training for staffing positions in government services and healthcare

Additional information : In Furnifold, compulsory education is 10 years, or until the age of 16. After that age, youth have the option of spending 2 to 3 years in an apprenticeship for a trade or manufacturing job, collegiate prep, or interning in business or government. Most people take these opportunities; however, some of the more lucrative opportunities, especially in government, are very in-demand and only a minority of applicants are chosen. This means that there are youth who were not able to take the work they wanted to, and have to settle for something else. This puts them at a disadvantage when applying for these positions after the 2 or 3 year period, because they lack the necessary experience. The Furnifold government is attempting to address this by increasing internship opportunities in government, but we want to provide training for the youth who missed out on this opportunity while these extra internships are being implemented. We ask to receive funds to hire staff to provide the training for these youth. In addition, healthcare is a growing industry, and the jobs that are newly created usually require experience that the applicants don’t have. We would like to also request funds to train people for these healthcare jobs.

We are based in the cities of Woolf and Chonvor City, with a total population of about 1.5 million people. We would seek $22 million to hire 180 staff members to train about 5000 students in government services and healthcare industries for a three-year period.

Thank you very much for considering us, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Subject: Respondez pour la donation de la Gouvernement de Chianski

We are very grateful to the Government of Chianski, but you must understand that we are not in the business of proliferating a political ideology. We aim to give people aid to help them further their dreams in the way that they see fit, with a set of ideals that aim to uplift them. While we would be glad to expose students to a number of idealogies to further their understanding of politics and the impact that it has on them and the contributions they can make towards it, proliferating an idealogy such as communism which in its many manifestations violates the principles upon which our nation was founded and which subsequently guides the actions we undertake, is something we cannot do.

I reiterate, we would gladly funnel our money into programs that expose people to a variety of ideologies and their reciprocal disadvantages and advantages. We cannot promote only one. I do hope that you will reconsider your special request as we cannot accept your generous contribution contribution without at least satisfying some of your requests. We hope, again that you will look ay things differently and get back to us.

Sincerely
Pres. et. Chef Exécutif de Oanaid Ltd.

Subject: Mid-year progress update

Dear interested members of Oanaid Ltd.

My name is Frederick Strangfeld, CEO of Furnifold Works Institute (FWI). In March of this year, we submitted a request to receive funds to help with job training in government services and healthcare industries for 5,000 students, which was approved by your agency. I wanted to update Oanaid on the progress so far.

With the funds, we have been able to hire the full assortment of staff members as listed for a full term. So far we have had about 3,200 students enroll in our program. We have been able to sponsor some off-site hospital visits for our students preparing to embark in a medical career, and have had several government officials come and speak to students, as well as given shadowing opportunities to these students. So far, about 500 students have completed their two year training period, as this was their final semester, and have since graduated and applied for these jobs. About 16 percent of students have found internships or full-time work in government positions, compared to the national average of seven percent. About 40 percent of students have found externships or full-time jobs in medical facilities and medical firms, compared to the national average of 29 percent. Of the remaining students, we are happy to report that the increased training services has resulted in 65 percent full-time employment in work requiring some post-secondary education, and about 90 percent employment in either part-time work or other jobs not requiring post-secondary employment.

Your funding has directly resulted in an increase in graduation rate, employment, and offers from in-demand fields. We also stand to graduate our largest class of students in May of 2018, and are excited to see their success after their training. I want to thank you for your commitment to education and the generosity of your program, and hope you can share in some of the pride I feel towards my students.

Sincerely,
Frederick Strangfeld

Application for Assistance

Name of entity: Urban Geography Department, The University of Mana University College

Work you do: Participatory Action Research for community planning

Help you need: Funding for the implementation of a greenway and green spaces in underdeveloped areas of Mana

Hello,

My name is Ishmael Sorensani, and I am an Associate Professor of Urban Geography at The University of Mana University College, in Mana, Furnifold. My research interests are bottom-up community planning initiatives in underserved areas. Mana is a city undergoing a transformation, as the boon of tourism and healthcare services has resulted in income rising throughout the city. However, certain areas have not had this income level increase, and has resulted in some income disparity between people who work in these industries and where they live. I have spent the past couple of years ingraining myself into a few of these communities, trying to figure out what it is the community desires most and what will improve their quality of life. The answer is to develop a greenway and green spaces that link the underserved communities together. A greenway is a scenic trail that is well regarded for recreational purposes, as well as a method of transportation that does not involve constructing sidewalks or roads, that link urban locations together. I have worked with urban planners, and located a stretch of land that connects the communities to a major employment hub in the city, which is nearby a high-income residential area without much green space near it. The proposal went through and was approved by the city officials, but they have refused to allocate funds to the proposal, citing the need for the communities to pay for the thing they wish to use. Being an underserved community with low income, it is tough to find the funds to pay and develop this location into a greenway. This is why I am asking your agency for funds.

I would like to request aid of $13 million SHD for the funding of this project. This money will buy the permitting, land grading, paving, and construction of a four-mile stretch of land, connecting several underserved communities with a high-income residential neighborhood. In addition, this will also give several amenities on the greenway, including: a basketball court, a playground, a large community greenhouse, lighted pathways, water and sewage treatment, environmental maintenance, and a running and biking trail. These amenities will attract high-income residents, encourage socialization between these communities, help to decrease recidivism and youth crime rates, and attract businesses and community investment nearby.

I hope you consider my offer worthwhile, and I appreciate the work your non-profit does.

Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Ishmael Sorensani, PhD
