Operation Colechia

After the report was laid on her desk, signed by Adley and Hyla, Koliana just stared at it. She never thought she’d see a day where she could lead an operation so ambitious.

It was not a quiet day in the Office of the Ostrom Transportation Department and Koliana was at the centre of it. She sat at her desk, in the eye of the storm. A storm of plans being drawn, calls being made to Durakia and beyond. This was the day that this operation starts. The day where Koliana’s nerves outweigh her excitement.

She took a sip from her mug. She told herself that the tea would relax her, almost trying to trick herself. It would be clear to anyone that her attempt at trickery had failed. She was glad nobody was here to see her in this state, with the isolation of her office ensuring her situation would not be made worse by somebody seeing her. She took a second to look at her name plate.

“Koliana Obrista: Overseer of Transport and Transport Representitive of Ostrom.”

As she read the plate, her nerves lessened. If anyone could do this, it was her. She knew Transport. If Durakia needed a railway across Irnac, she would make it happen.

Otto Mistov took a long drink from his flask. It was a good quality flask, given to him by Admiral Yeltsov. His mood was still not great after the Arnstal Conference. That sorry excuse for a diplonatic meeting still left a bad taste in his mouth.

“Commander Mistov, the Transport Overseer is here to see you.” called a voice from outside his office.

Otto sighed. He didn’t know what this job was, but an Overseer doesn’t come from Ostrom to Kultin without a damn good reason. He put away his flask.

“I’ll be there in a second, Karl.” He replied.
