The World Assembly,
Acknowledging previous attempts by the General Assembly to promote international education;
Believing that member states alone reserve the right to determine accreditation of member state university level programs;
Defines
Higher Education Institution (HEI) as a facility which provides post-secondary education whereby an individual receives an academic degree, certification, or license. This includes, but is not limited to colleges, universities, research institutes, military academies, religious seminaries, or trade schools.
Enacts
Member states shall have the sole authority to provide formal guidelines for accreditation to all HEIs within their jurisdiction.
Member states shall make public and freely accessible the following information:
All guidelines for domestic HEIs;
A list of accredited HEIs within their jurisdiction; and
A list of international HEIs recognized for reciprocity by said member state.
