General Assembly Resolution #229 “Access to Courts” (Category: Social Justice; Strength: Mild) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.
We are dismayed at GA#229’s failure to outright prohibit extraction of court costs after a case is complete, thus continuing to allow for money to be a prohibitive element of justice for the economically downtrodden and rendering the resolution functionally useless, even taking advantage of this by going so far as to encourage member nations to allow charging of court costs from the loser.
We hereby repeal GA#229 “Access to Courts”.
