Photobucket

So this site used to have images hosted on Photobucket. This wasn’t anything bad, as many individuals have used the formally reliable site for a long time without issue (like when they were a sophomore in college back in 2005, for instance). Well, Photobucket decided reliability was no longer in their cards and in a weird attempt to gain money, took the reliable people who had been using their site and decided to charge them $400 / year to host (and in some cases, view) images hosted on their site. It is entirely in their rights to do so, and it’s entirely within our rights to ensure they don’t get our business.

TEP has taken the high ground and kicked them off our forums by going through each forum skin, re-uploading the image and, in the case of images that were locked out, were re-made via the tender loving hands of a fox-guy thing who painstakingly formed images that could not quickly be found on archives on his old computer in order to rescue these once seemingly safely-hosted images. Other, presumably more reliable image hosting sites have been used instead and will host our images for the foreseeable future.

In the meantime, if any image looks off or out of place, please note it below. Any posts which have a photobucket image of prominence can also be linked here in the hopes that these valuable images are replaced and/or re-uploaded everywhere.

TEP is not alone in this issue. A simple search on the internet will touch on a plethora of posts with individuals who use more colorful language than I am using right now. As always, thank you for your time.

If you or anyone else have any more lost images, it’s worth knowing you can still retrieve them from PhotoBucket.

Right-click on the offensive P500 banner, and use “view image” to get to Photobucket. Then reload on that page. You should then see the image and can save it to your own machine.
