The World Assembly,
Noticing the widespread victim blaming, ridicule, and shaming often faced by victims of sexual assault,
Recognizing that sexual assault victims are often discouraged from speaking out about the crimes committed against them due to such potential for victim blaming etc.,
Believing these victims should be able to seek justice freely and without fear of any form of reprisal,
Reminding member nations of previous efforts within these halls to guarantee an individual’s rights to their own body,
Hereby;

Requires that individuals who wish to report a sexual assault to the authorities be able to do so without;

  1. Facing any form of punishment strictly for doing so,
  2. Any kind of intentional interference in reporting the crime,
  3. Mandates that no person shall face discrimination or harassment in any form on account of being a victim of sexual assault or making an accusation of sexual assault,
  4. Establishes that there shall be no legally recognized difference in the severity or illegality of a sexual assault charge based on the sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, status as a prostitute, social standing, or economic or political status of the accused or of the accuser, except where hate crime legislation applies,
  5. Requires that any person in violation of clauses one or two shall face civil penalties for their actions,
  6. Recommends that schools within member nations educate their students about sexual assault and how to prevent it.
