Ratification Timeline

This chart shows the date nations ratified the concordat of the east pacific (horizontal) and their last activity on this forum (vertical).

The shape is distinctly triangular, emphasizing the three categories of citizen:

Those who ratified the concordat long ago, and were last seen on the forum long ago.
They are on the lower left corner of the triangle.

Those who ratified the concordat recently, and were last seen on the forum recently.
They are on the upper right corner of the triangle.

Those who ratified the concordat long ago, and were last seen on the forum recently.
They are on the upper left corner of the triangle.

Many, many of our fellow citizens are somewhere in between these extremes.

There is another way to look at this, if you rotate the triangle so that the diagonal is the base of a pyramid. Then it shows one line of nations along the base, whose ratification date coincides with their last activity date. In other words, they haven’t been back on this forum since they became a citizen. Higher up there are many layers, and this corresponds to varying levels of activity, or, more precisely, the higher up they are on this pyramidal shape, the longer the time span between their ratification and their last activity. At the top of this pyramid are the nations who ratified the concordat at its conception and are still here.

Or, in other words, I just had fun making shapes.

That’s really nicely done!

Indeed.
