Report of the Magisterial Consul of the 4th MA

Report from the 4th Magisterial Consul on the 4th Magisterial Assembly

The 4th Magisterial Assembly passed the East Pacific Standard Time Act and the Revised Endorsement Restriction Act, 2007. The former had actually been passed prior to the crash, and the latter was in Deliberation at the time of the crash. In addition, the 4th MA approved the nominations of:

1 Infinite Loop as UN Liaison
Kandarin as Role Play Administrator
Free Pacific States as Viceroy
Emperor Matthuis as UN Liaison
East Malaysia as Attorney General
Reziel as Solicitor General

It must be noted that a majority of the work done by the Magisters is done behind closed doors. Although the two pieces of legislation mentioned above were the two passed and signed by the Delegate, discussions on other proposed pieces of legislation, and on other topics also occurred with great regularity both prior to, and after the forum crash.

I’d like to thank the original members of the 4th MA, all of whom were elected in September 2006: Black Panther Cats, Dannistaan, Dovakhan, Kelssek and Reziel. Both prior to the InvisionFree crash on November 15, 2006, and after, all of them put in considerable time working on behalf of the citizens of TEP. Thanks must also be extended to Coocoostan, Emperor Matthuis and Really Nice Hats who joined the Assembly in March.

Particular thanks must go to Kelssek who spent hours writing and amending proposed legislation. In my role as a Magister, rather than as Consul, I may not always have agreed with him, but I always valued his knowledge, his wisdom and his advice. As Consul, I can quite honestly state that the 4th MA would not have run nearly as effectively without he and Reziel.

Without the records of the 4th MA to fall back on, I suspect that there are things I have forgotten to mention. For that, I apologise, and would ask that if any of the Magisters remember such items, they either add them to this thread or PM me and I will add them.

It has been an honour to serve as Magisterial Consul with such a group of individuals.
