Resignation and Departure

Effective immediately, I am resigning as Vizier, Foreign Affairs Councillor, Regional Administrative Officer, Trust and Safety Officer, and Moderator. This also marks my departure from The East Pacific.

After almost eight years, I have decided to end my time here. For a long time, The East Pacific was my safe space and a place I called my “online home” However, the distance between that ideal and the current state has become simply too huge. For the sake of not stirring any further drama, I will not list actions of people I used to call friends that led to this. But I can say that this is a direct result of several toxic interactions that have been happening for over a year now.

Whenever, after ~2023, I’d decide “I’m coming back to NS!” that optimism would be set aflame and burnt down too fast. This time round, however, I will not apologize, minimize my activity and come back during next time I have a motivation spike, just for it to be set aflame again. I’m breaking the semi-retirement spiral, that’s been there for years now.

I will be moving my activity to independent projects and regions where I feel socially accepted and welcome.

There is not enough I can say in praise of the time you have dedicated to this region.
