The Endeavor had met 61 manned stations so far. Rescuing those in need, repairing satellites along the way. But the effort was not one to be undertaken alone, there were thousands of satellites in orbit damaged by the remains of Myriad.

The Reliant and Rose left Autumn station, along with the Columbia and Artemis, en route to various vital satellites to repair what they could. On the launch pads were the remaining five shuttles in the Emberitian fleet were preparing to launch as soon as the Vekaiyun aerogel pads arrived from overseas. With enough work, the space around Urth could be restored to normal.

One of Tretrid’s primary SSTO (Single Stage to Orbit) spaceplanes, Exploration, sat on the runway. The control tower (Mission Control takes over past the Karman Line) gave the clear signal, and the engines ignited. It reached space, and Mission Control took control. Orbital insertion went fine, and it fired itself to the inclination of Myriad’s former orbit. “Well, here goes.”
