“Damn,” Kah’lad thought as the door to Nei’s room banged shut, “Typical! And just when I was going to ask for some help!” Kah’lad looked around some more, hoping to see someone, anyone to ask for help. “Doesn’t this place have a cafeteria? Even the barracks back home had one.” Kah’lads stomach suddenly growled very loudly. He started to blush. “Hal’vo hav’nar! The whole academy will have heard that now!”
Kah’lad continued his search for help and maybe a bite to eat.
The door between the two rooms popped open. “Oh, hi, Nei! Looking for someone?” Anna peered around Nei for a second. “You really do know how to decorate, don’t you?”
“well” she blushes" it is spartan now, stillwaiting for other stuff to come up, and Jill and whomever else is gonna be in here, will add stuff, but, I was hoping Tiaya was home, she had that room last year, , Hey you want to go to the hotspring I got an extra robe and Loofa you can use"./
She discovered the crate would not fit through the doorway. She simply left it in the hall with a small note attached.
If anyone sees fit to steal or “borrow” anything from this crate, I will personally see to that persons assimilation, and welcome them into the Hive. Mining planet 7 is nice this time of year.
OOC: Mining planet 7 is an abandoned planet used for nuclear testing.
Her stomach growled. Although she had much less flesh, the energy requirements of her organic parts had nearly tripled. She headed for the Kitchenette.
Kah’lad eventually found the kitchenette in the corner. He hadn’t noticed it earlier and was wondering why he didn’t try looking there for food first.
“Dammit…only basics…” Kah’lad thought as he searched through the cupboards in the kitchenette, “At this rate I might as well eat flour…”
He heard a bunch of clunking heading in his direction. Looking around the corner he saw that Packilvanian Neko. “Oh…um…hello” he said, some nervousness sounding in his voice, “You don’t happen to know if the Academy has a cafeteria or if there is some shops nearby do you?” His voice quavered as he was unsure if the Neko was going to assimulate him at the first wrong move.
“Sure! And however little you’ve done, it’s a heck of a lot better than mine.” She gestured to her own nearly empty room. “But there’s room for three, and maybe your friend Taiya can help spice things up if she gets this room again.”
A few guardians lead by Jarod are walking down the corridor to the kitchenette. They are all wearing Kaki pants, black shirts, red bandanas around their necks and barretts.
Jarod: Looking at his PET, “Looks like we have a high female membership.”
Oswald: “I think it’s because the girls think you’re ‘cute’. Least that what I heard whist evesdropping.”
Jarod: Presses anothe button, “Ah! Neglecting the younger girls, that stat makes more sense.” Folds his PET closed. “I swear my new found fame is driving me bannanas! On the brightside fame is cyclical. I know my fame is going to bite me in the butt come Christmas time…*”
[OOC: *And I have a story for that! In fact it might very well be the most unusual one to date!]
Nei and Anna had just entered the down elevator as the other dinged, and Hikaru stepped out, he walked down the hall, pulling a suitcase, until he came to room 469,
Here we go, Home, sorta, he put in his key and walked inside,
“kinda Spartan,” he mumbled, as he dropped the suitcase on the bed, and took the bag of grocereis he had brought down the hall, as he entered the kitchenette, he saw, Kah’lad, and said, “Good day comrade, seeking lunch too?”
[ooc] he has instant ramen, some bologna bread and pickles as well as other assoted dorm foods in his bag.
Still keeping an eye on Noi and showing some signs of paranoia, he turned his attention to the person who just entered.
“Oh hello. Yes, I am looking for something to eat. So far I contemplated wolfing down some of the flour and spices just to alleviate my hunger…”
His stomach growled again, only louder than the last time. Kah’lad blushed once again.
“Hal’vo hav’nar!, I didn’t realise I was that hungry!” he exclaimed, “It would seem us Dannistrians don’t travel well!”
Kah’lad stared at the bug being fried. It reminded him of something, as did the smell. “Why does that seem so familiar to me?” Kah’lad thought. His thoughts were disturbed once again by his stomach complaining. “Err…reminds me of some of the bugs the people in my village used to eat…” he said. But in his mind it wasn’t the village meals that made the Pax bug seem familiar. Kah’lad started to space out as he searched his mind.
“Actually, I think I might have some as well if you don’t mind…” said Kah’lad. He was feeling so hungry that anything seemed appetising.
Jarod: Walks into the kitchette. “Oswald, you working the morning shift?”
Oswald: “Yes?”
Jarod: “You’re buying.”
Oswald: “But I- Oh! Abusing my employee discount again?”
Jarod: “Yep. Least until we get that new IR mini-Fridge I ordered.” Chuckles. “It’s a penguin shaped robot that’s really a fridge!” Walks over to the blender and starts dumping fruit into it. “Hey Noi!” To Kah’lad “Hey… what’s your name again? I’m dreadful with names.” Adds juice and some powder.
“What’s that smell? It’s like- how adorable!” Anna had discovered Nei’s little chicken friend, and decided to do the second thing that came to mind. She stroked him gently, and tried to pick him up.
foosh, Piyo chan shot a small jet of crimson flames at his would-be handler. “Ow! Bad Piyo!”
“The names Kah’lad,” he said to Jarod, “BTW, what’s with the rumours about this ‘fire breathing chicken’ I heard about? Surely such things do not exist?”
He sat on the worktop and looked at his pocket watch.
“Any idea when that meal is going to be ready?”
Karen carefully put away her zephyr pipes, grabbed some bezel nut spread, crackers, fruit and green tea, and headed down the hall to the kitchenette. She was startled to find an entire group of students there, including Kah’lad and the Neko from the field.
“Looks like many stomachs running on the same schedule! Room for one more starving student in here? Hey Kah’lad.”
Noi used her non-organic hand and hoisted the thorax out of the pot. She pulled off a chink from the back, and sat at the small table in the kitchenette.
“Help yourselves. Dont eat the shell off the legs though. Its a little tough.”
Hikaru nods ot Jarod and Oswald, “Oh hello, I’m sorry I didnt introduce myself earlier, my name is Hikaru Motenai, this is my first year” the coffee pot dings and he turns to fill a ramen cup with hot water.

Nei gasps as Piyo belches out flames,
“Piyo chan, bad chicken, no breathing fire on people”
“piyo?”
“Sorry Anna I have no Idea what has gotten into him,”
she sits him on a the shelf along with her bath kit and takes her robe and hangs it on the hook, then picks up the kit and the chicken,
“the showers are in here,” she says as she enters the shower area.
