Is it Cannon or not?
It had all the original VA,
it established Spocks Mothers name as well as Kirks Middle name
Roddenberry was in charge of it as well
it established Robert April as First captain of Enterprise.
Does the higher ups in the series believe it’s canon? Ie, the only reason why this new computerized Star Wars show is canon is because Lucas endorses it (he also directed it, if I’m not mistaken). Novels and books from the series are only canon if Lucas endorses it as well, I believe.
I am unsure as Paramount and the dudes in charge will not answer the questions when asked but I personally care about what the fans say.
