I decided to destroy the planet again. Got questions? I got answers!

Kareeka- Not much is know about Kareeka, only that it was created by a beinging the Great Beings refer to as The Shadowed One. Kareeka is invulerable to almost any attack with a few exceptions.

When Kareeka’s vines bloom the red bulbs can be destroied and cause the vine to feel some pain, but it usually enrages the vine and destroies its attacker.

Kareeka can be attacked psychically, but if you do perpare to have your mind torn to shreads.

Your only hope of defeating Kareeka is for six (to ten) champions to step foward and go on a quest to find the artifacts that can defeat it. Other wise, Kareeka will make plant food out of this and every other region…

Post your hero to be here, and Dusk will awaken their hidden powers!

Lt. Eran Chase-Pyrokenetic / Team Leader (Reptillian) Chase is an up coming leader, he knows how to stratagize, and execute a plan, but he still lacks all the confidence he needs to be a great leader. Currently, he works security at the Arklay facility (he ascorted Samus to her holding room), and hopes to one day lead his own squad in the colonial marines.

Physically he is extremely stong, much like other members of his race, and has real sharp teeth. One might even call him scarey looking, which is odd considering his personality.

Chase is a good reptile at heart and does good things as much as he can. However, like the other members of his race, he has a bit of a temper, even though he has a better handle on his than others of his species.

Because of his dedication to his team he is prone to make emotionally based decisions when a comrad is in danger. Otherwise, he is a great reptile.

Hah… this sounds like it could get fun, if we can actually figure out a way to kill it. I’m assuming once we get a team together we can get this quest underway, I also assume at that point we’ll get more information about the artifacts. I’ll participate:

Darren Kullditar - Secret Agent (Human) Darren Kullditar is the head of intelligence agencies in Vladistock Island, and close advisor to the Dictator. Currently missing somewhere in the capital, he would be our best man to send on this wild goose chase. Once the capital is secure, I’m sure he will turn up, he always does.

Besides the regular training that secret agents of the VIA go through, Darren Kullditar is quite an experienced soldier and assassin. His best asset is confidence of his abilities, and does not hesitate to shoot and ask questions later. Not a lot else is known about him and he will have lots of surprises. Mild mannered, and stern, but able to work as part of a team.

Like most Vladistockians, Kullditar is fairly tall (6’ 4"), and usually wears an all black operations suit (bulletproof, with many fun gadgets) covered by a long military overcoat. His weapon of choice is duel pistols, which he always carries.

Since when did my nation have geothermal plants? What is such a thing anyway?

What you did in that thread is godmodding, and I think this has been discussed before in a different OOC thread…

Sergei Shivanidze: Krech army Sergeant and extremely experienced soldier. He represents Krechzianko in many ways; he’s patriotic, dedicated to socialism, and a skilled fighter. During the Vladistock War, he headed a squad of elite stevka operatives in several daring attacks on enemy forces.

He is tall and fairly muscular, with an unshaven look. He appears like a traditional Slav: fun-loving but stern and prone to anger, with great physical strength. He is kind and hospitable to his friends, but he knows how to kick ass if he needs to. He loves vodka (and most every other kind of alcohol).

Sergei wears either a long grey trenchcoat and wide-brimmed hat (Krech dress uniform) or a camouflaged jacket and US-designed PASGT helmet. He carries a knife, grenades, a GPS system, and a .30-caliber Chinese-made automatic rifle.

Gov: A geothermal plant draws energy from the earth, using heat to produce power. They aren’t too common, but they’re not extremely rare either.

i see, but I never had any plants, nor did I approve him of doing that. I actually expected him to contact his “victims” ooc to talk with them about what was going on…

Gov, the point of RPing would be lost if everyone contacted each other and told them their plans in advance. What suprise would there be? How would people defeat one another? To be frank, I didn’t expect him to contact anyone, myself included.

First off, to your claim of a Godmod…overruled. Its wrong. The way he RPed it, it makes total and complete sense. Furthermore, you didn’t object to the original post. Your only objecting to it because its affecting your nation. Which, to be blunt, is a crappy thing to do. You are not your nation, Govindia, and if you can’t stand bad things happening to it, then you shouldn’t be RPing.

However, if you don’t wish for the attack to take place in Govindia, thats fine. I’ll have Imatron switch it to someone who is willing to take the good with the bad in RP. But, if I do do that, don’t expect to get involved…you can’t just blow everyone else up, whilst staying untouched, my man. Untouchable opponents are no fun.

Moving beyond my rant…I’m in, Imatron, and if you want to attack, go on ahead. You know I’m willing (I always am).

FPS is correct. The whole idea was to make a suprise attack on someone with one of the most dangerous characters created (here). Also, almost everyone has geothermal power plants. If you did indeed model your nation after India you should know that India is launching a massive campaign to replace the coal power plants with geothermal energy plants. Otherwise, read a newspaper!

But, if it’ll stop your inssesent whining I can rewrite it so Kareeka took over a nuclear power plant and dug into the bedrock. It wouldn’t make any sence what-so-ever, like Vladistock’s poor knowledge of astronomy. I mean Earth gets hit by metors of many sizes on a regular basis so how the hell you’d detect a metor that small (realtively speaking) is beyond me.

Besides Govindia, your nation was choosen for the sole fact of your location. I mean with what I have planned, it would only make sence to attack you first. But If I told anyone what the bad guy was going to do there would be no fun in it.

Furthermore, this is not a godmod. If it was, Kareeka wouldn’t be able to be defeated by the team we’re assembling here.

Anyway, now that I got that rant out of the way here’s how the IC thread will work: We will parallel cut between Kareeka attacking Govindia and our heroes in their quest to stop Kareeka. They will search the four corners of the region to collect ancient Maxtopian artifacts that will stop the region from becoming plant food, and eventually they will face off with Kareeka.

We also need to remember something, we’re creating “superheroes” of sorts here, so make sure your characters can be used as such. Also having their soon to be awakened powers and where they will be visited posted would help. But we have a whole chapter to go before we have to jump off that bridge.

-Allegro

Just to clarify, what I posted above means that the character can be called into action to help out without gumming up your RP works. Also, unlikely heroes are welcome if not prefered. Remember our characters have to learn how to use their powers and their hero tools as well as evolve personally.

Mmm…on that note, I’m editing my char. The hacker vibe isn’t something I’m into RPing currently. Will add it onto this post soon.

All right, look.

I only complained of it being a godmode because when I tried to RP in the Nuclear proliferation convention thread that my char. had intelligence about Krechzianko’s nuclear dealings, FPS said that amounted to godmoding because I was RPing stuff going in with Krech without his approval. This could be applied similarly as he explained it (and I have the AIM logs to back up what I say on this), and I believe FPS talked you about RPing other people’s citizens on this board.

Furthermore, even if I decided to do this, where exactly would it be? If I was going to do this, I would not know how to respond to it in IC because it depends where in my nation it would be.

Also, another thing I’m wary about this is that, when I came back this summer, I only started to get involved RP, and not earlier, in case you did not notice. FPS knows full well, as does Wachovia & Packilvania to an extent, as they have been talking with me a lot during the winter and spring quarters when I was at college in letting me know what was going on, and I was only involved in stuff in EP that didn’t deal with RP. I just feel that as I just started to get back into RP, this IC thread is just speeding things too much. Don’t get me wrong guys, I like you all and consider you as friends and fellow brothas :).

If someone is willing to work with me on this without spoiling the story I may be willing to participate.

I’ll wait for the response from FPS and/or Imatron before responding again on this.

Thanks.

I think the difference is that you made stuff up about my country without my approval. For instance, you said that the leader of my nuke program disappeared. That is a major plot point and it needs to be consulted.

The only thing he made up about you was that you posess Geothermal plants. He even offered to make it nuclear if you didn’t like the geothermal idea. You see, you made stuff up extensively about my nation. He is merely RPing with your nation, but isn’t making stuff up about you. See the difference?

Well put, Krech. Well put.

Thank you. Bows

I see the point you made Krech, but im still wanting to hear from Imatron for this…

but yes, you are one of the people I mentioned above as my “brothas”

All I’m going to say is, everyone needs to pay attention to all the RP threads. Each one is linear, yes, but they crosseover every once in awhile.

I understand, but Imatron still has not answered my question…

And I’m not asking him to make up a city…I’m using for the most part actual indian cities, with a few exceptions. Naming some city “Genericsville” is not one of them…

Govindia, I assume you know what the word “Generic” means, and thereby know that he was not refering to the actual city name, but simply to the general setting. Please don’t insult our intelligence by acting like you don’t understand that.

I’m not. When I said location I meant a specific city, state, etc near where the plant attack happened. Note: I’m not committed yet fully to this until I hear his thoughts, which I’m still waiting on, no offence.

Okay… I got out my atlas and have checked the plots against the map. I guess I would be attacking Hyderabad or Ahmadabad or a town in that area. (Hard to tell I wanted the attack to take place in the middle of your country and the borders are a little screwy on our map.)

Madly, I don’t have power plants on my map so I’m going by the seat of my pants. I’ll make the corrections. If you noticed geneticsville was in () as I was going to let you name the town.

Anyway, all I can give you guys for the story line is this. Govindia has to deal with a real dangerous plant that can destroy the planet. This plant will soon grow to be very large and will obviuously attract attention and will start posing a serious threat to other nations.

While the fight against Kareeka goes on in Govindia, our heroes we are assembling here will have to find the artifacts to defeat Kareeka in some secure sections of Arklay, museums, mines and even a mountain.

Right now Govindia has Kareeka in one of his towns. I assume he’d have law enforcement or so dispatched. And as Kareeka spreads the military gets involved. Think of this like Godzilla movie, except with a real evil plant.

Govindia and I will RP Kareeka’s destructive force until the big suprise where all hell breaks loose.

If anyone has any specific questions please ask. IE:
Q: How fast does this thing grow?
A: Fast. It is probably reaching out a few miles now. As the thread progresses, it will get bigger, and bigger. For it to reach its destination it may take a whole month.

Q: What are these artifacts we’re looking for?
A: Disks slightly larger than a frisbee with Maxtopian writings and special abilities.

Q: Where are these disks?
A: I have a few locations choosen. Arklay will be the first location the team visits. After that they split up to find the others.

Q: How will they find the disks?
A: I’m thinking their rivals would know… Or Eran has a vision of firmiliar locations to the team members.

Q: Can I destory this thing without these disks?
A: Not this time. I’m trying something. This is suppose to be like a mini novelette.

Q: Who’s in on this?
A: Noone actually. I have all the cards.

Before I reach my final decision on whether or not to commit…some things:

Ahmedabad and Hyderabad are in two different places, if you looked at my map, and yes, Kelssek spelled one of my cities wrong, but I’ll fix that minor error once I know how to use photoshop.

Secondly, if I get involved, can my advance clone units, made of similar model to Warhawk, join in as the “hero”?

Thirdly, can we bring in Megalocyathus or Lomadian Drow (dark side elves) to do this?

Fourthly, can this creature thingy be affected by the Powers of the Force (as in all powers, both light, dark, and neutral)?

Fifthly, can I get caek :stuck_out_tongue: ?
